Path To Godhood Begins With Marrying Wife And Gaining SSS Rank Skill

Chapter 727: 727:End of Haster

The dazzling pillar of holy light slowly faded.

The giant dark figure was no longer struggling as fiercely as before. Its enormous body broke apart piece by piece while the endless miasma forming it was continuously purified by the overwhelming holy power. Large portions of its body crumbled into black mist before disappearing into nothingness. The giant let out one final roar filled with unwillingness before its massive body completely collapsed.

Haster watched everything with disbelief.

His countless eyes trembled.

”No...”

”This can’t be happening...”

For the first time since the battle had begun, fear appeared on his twisted face.

Without another thought, Haster immediately turned around and fled.

”Stop him!”

Several Transcendent Knights immediately rushed toward him from different directions.

Haster’s eyes flashed with madness. Instead of helping his own people, he suddenly grabbed several corrupted Transcendent Knights with his tentacles.

”You useless trash!”

Before they could even react, he violently threw them behind himself.

The corrupted knights became living shields. They desperately tried to regain their balance as they were hurled directly toward the pursuing Knight of Light.

The towering Holy Knight showed no hesitation.

It reached forward with one enormous hand.

Its armored fingers firmly closed around the group of corrupted Transcendent Knights before they could scatter. Holding them tightly, it swung its massive arm with terrifying force.

Boom!

The Holy Knight slammed them heavily into the rocky ground.

The entire valley shook violently.

The earth split apart beneath the terrifying impact while dust and broken rocks exploded high into the air. Before the corrupted knights could even stand again, the Holy Knight raised its massive fist and brought it crashing down without mercy.

Boom!

Another punch followed immediately.

Boom!

A third punch smashed into them with even greater force.

Boom!

Each strike crushed the corrupted bodies deeper into the broken earth while waves of holy light burst outward with every impact. The corrupted miasma surrounding them rapidly dissolved as the remaining darkness within their bodies was purified. The battlefield trembled beneath the relentless assault until nothing remained except shattered ground and fading black mist.

Meanwhile, Haster had already escaped hundreds of meters away.

His breathing had become ragged.

His injuries continued burning under the holy light left behind by Ethan’s attacks.

”No...”

”I can’t die here...”

His countless eyes darted around as he desperately searched for a way to escape.

A brilliant sword arc suddenly appeared behind him.

Slash!

Haster’s eyes widened.

The radiant blade of light struck him across the back.

Boom!

The attack blasted him forward before he crashed heavily into the rocky ground. Broken stones scattered everywhere while a long trench stretched across the valley.

Haster coughed violently as black blood spilled from his mouth.

His face twisted with madness.

”If I’m going to die...”

”I’m taking you with me!”

A terrifying blood-red light erupted from his body.

He began burning his own life force and corrupt power without hesitation. Strange bloody symbols spread across his body while the surrounding darkness violently gathered toward him. The remaining miasma surged together as though preparing one final desperate attack. The terrifying pressure rapidly climbed and dark energy twisted into a huge wave that rushed toward Ethan with the force of a collapsing mountain.

Everyone’s expressions changed.

”Ethan!”

Heliana immediately looked toward the incoming attack.

Her beautiful face remained calm.

She gently raised her crystal staff.

”Freeze.”

The temperature across the battlefield dropped in an instant.

An overwhelming wave of icy energy surged forward and met the incoming attack head-on.

Crack!

Crack!

Crack!

The violent mass of dark energy rapidly froze into solid ice before everyone’s eyes. Thick layers of frost spread across it while the frozen attack remained suspended in the air for only a brief moment.

Boom!

The enormous block of ice shattered into countless glittering pieces that scattered across the battlefield like falling crystals.

The surrounding Transcendent Knights stared in complete shock.

Ethan’s eyes narrowed slightly as he watched the scene.

’She is only around the Saint Realm, but she was able to overpower a Transcendent rank attack... Something is wrong with her.’

He quietly noted it in his heart, but he did not question it now.

Haster roared in anger and violently waved his tentacles. Endless darkness burst forward and smashed through the remaining ice, scattering frozen shards everywhere. His countless eyes immediately searched for Ethan.

But Ethan had already disappeared.

The battlefield suddenly became strangely quiet around Haster.

He looked around wildly.

”Where are you?!”

No answer came.

Ethan had already hidden himself using his Concealment Art.

His presence completely vanished.

Even Haster’s countless eyes could no longer find him.

Panic slowly spread across Haster’s face.

A faint movement suddenly appeared behind him.

Too late.

A cold hand firmly grabbed his shoulder.

Haster’s eyes widened.

Ethan silently appeared behind him.

Without saying a single word, he drove his dagger forward.

Thud!

The blade pierced straight through Haster’s chest before sinking deep into his heart.

Haster’s body instantly stiffened.

His countless eyes opened as wide as they could.

He slowly lowered his head and stared at the dagger buried in his chest.

”N... no...”

The holy power flowing through the dagger rapidly spread throughout his body, destroying the corrupt energy from within.

Haster let out a painful roar.

In one final act of desperation, countless black tentacles suddenly burst out from his body. They wrapped tightly around Ethan’s arms, legs, chest, and waist. The tentacles squeezed with terrifying force as they desperately tried to tear him apart.

Before they could tighten any further, Ethan’s entire body suddenly erupted with brilliant holy light.

Boom!

His figure shone like a blazing sun.

The tentacles immediately began burning. They twisted violently as the holy flames consumed them, and within moments they crumbled into black ashes that scattered into the air.

Ethan calmly stepped forward.

He grabbed Haster tightly by the throat.

Boom!

He brutally slammed him into the ground.

The impact shattered the earth beneath them while a violent shockwave spread in every direction. Haster’s body bounced off the broken ground, but before he could even cry out, Ethan grabbed him once again and smashed his face into the rocky earth with even greater force.

Boom!

Another violent shockwave spread across the battlefield as deep cracks raced through the valley. Broken rocks flew everywhere while the remaining darkness around Haster rapidly faded beneath the overwhelming brilliance of Ethan’s holy light. His body trembled violently, and the holy power continued burning away every trace of corruption still clinging to him.
