Path To Godhood Begins With Marrying Wife And Gaining SSS Rank Skill

Chapter 299: 299:My Son Is A Tamer?

The iron gates of the Blanks Estate groaned as they slowly opened.

At first, only shadows spilled out, long and sharp under the morning light. Then the sound came.

Heavy footsteps with perfect rhythm. Not hurried, not slow. Each step felt like a hammer striking the ground.

The Order of Eternal Blades marched out.

The moment the first knight appeared, the entire town erupted.

People who had been working froze. Merchants dropped what they were holding. Children climbed onto rooftops and carts. Cheers burst out like a wave crashing through the streets.

“They’re coming out!”

“It’s the Eternal Blades!”

“By the gods… I never thought I’d see them again!”

For the townsfolk, the Order of Eternal Blades was not just a force. They were a legend carved in steel and blood.

The rumours were already getting exaggerated.

When they moved, many disasters would end. When they fought, enemies vanished.

“Yes… it seems some people need to taste the feeling of salvation,” a man laughed loudly, slapping his friend on the back.

“Hahaha!”

“I wonder which bastards are going to meet God this time,” another said with a grin.

“Must be some shithead who pissed off the Lord.”

“They deserve it,” an old woman muttered, her eyes filled with relief rather than fear.

The knights marched forward in rows, armor dark and worn, yet polished to a deadly sheen. Their capes fluttered lightly, marked with the insignia of the Eternal Blades. Each of them carried weapons that had clearly tasted countless battles.

Their faces were calm.

Too calm.

No excitement. No hesitation. Just quiet anticipation.

The crowd felt it.

The cheers slowly softened, not because the people were afraid, but because the presence of the knights demanded silence. It was like standing before a storm that had not yet broken.

Randall rode at the front, his expression cold and focused. Joel walked beside him, rolling his shoulders as if warming up before a hunt.

Behind them, Hall and Ray coordinated the movement, issuing sharp hand signals.

The knights moved with flawless discipline.

Supply wagons rolled out next, loaded with weapons, chains, nets, and sealed crates. Horses stamped their hooves, restless, as if sensing what lay ahead.

A young boy tugged at his father’s sleeve. “Papa… are they going to war?”

The man nodded slowly. “Something worse than war.”

As the Order passed through the town, people bowed their heads. Some clasped their hands in prayer. Others watched with fierce smiles, knowing that whatever threatened them would soon be erased.

At the edge of town, the knights halted.

Randall raised his fist.

Every Eternal Blade stopped at once.

“You know why we are moving,” he said, his voice carrying without effort.

A low murmur spread through the ranks, not words, but a sound of agreement.

Joel cracked his neck and smiled darkly. “Bring order. Leave nothing unfinished.”

Steel rang as weapons were adjusted and gripped tighter.

Then Randall dropped his hand.

“Move out.”

The Order of Eternal Blades advanced, leaving behind a town filled with cheers, prayers, and one shared belief.

……

For the past few days, Ethan and Baron Fenwick had only been capturing the wyverns that came out to hunt.

They did not touch the nest, nor did they provoke the main body. Neither of them wanted to stir up something they could not yet handle. At the same time, all villagers and civilians had been evacuated far away, and a core zone with no civilians was formed around the affected area.

Over the parched land, soldiers were scattered across the hills, keeping watch day and night.

Ethan squatted near the cages and sighed deeply. He had tried feeding the wyverns again.

All of them turned their heads away.

No matter how much food was placed before them, they refused to eat. Ethan had even brought out his special grilled meat recipe, the kind that even hardened soldiers could not resist however….

The wyverns did not give a shit.

“They are not eating anything,” Ethan said with a somber expression. “At this rate, they are going to die.”

Baron Fenwick nodded in agreement. His face was heavy.

“This is becoming a huge headache,” he said. “We still do not have anyone who can tame them.”

He clicked his tongue in irritation. “A Tamer is a rare and fatal class. Even a beginner-stage Tamer is highly sought after.”

“Our Ruthiana has a few,” he continued, “but they can only handle small crawling monsters. Wyverns are far beyond them. And even if someone awakens as a Tamer, they would go to the Empire instead of rotting here.”

Ethan let out a long sigh.

Just then, he heard a creak behind him.

“Stop… Wales.”

“I want to see it.”

Ethan turned around and saw Diana grabbing Wales, who was throwing a tantrum and trying to break free.

“Let him come,” Ethan said calmly.

Diana paused, then slowly loosened her grip.

Ethan crouched down and looked at his son. “Wales, what are you doing here?”

Wales looked up at him with shining eyes. “Papa, I want to take a look. Please.”

His expression was innocent, and those pleading eyes were hard to resist.

Ethan hesitated for a moment, then nodded. “Alright. But stay close.”

Wales immediately ran forward, holding a small piece of meat in his hands.

Ethan already knew it would not work. Even so, he let Wales do as he pleased.

To his shock, the moment Wales stretched out his hand, one of the wyverns leaned forward.

It opened its mouth and gently took the meat from Wales’ hand.

Everyone froze.

The wyvern chewed slowly, then lowered its head again, looking at Wales quietly.

Wales burst into laughter. “Haha! You like it!”

He moved closer to the cage and waved his hands, as if talking to the wyvern. The wyvern responded with a low growl. It was not aggressive, but calm.

Baron Fenwick and Ethan stared with wide eyes.

Ethan slowly turned toward his father-in-law. “Are you seeing this?”

Baron Fenwick swallowed hard. He could only nod.

Ethan turned back to his son. “Wales, can you talk to them?”

Wales frowned and scratched his head. “I do not know. I just feel what they are feeling.”

“Feeling?” Ethan asked. “What are they feeling?”

“They are angry,” Wales said honestly. “They say you all captured them. They feel like they were born to soar the heavens, but now they are caged.”

Wales then turned toward the wyverns. One of them let out a sharp shriek, as if saying something else.

Wales listened carefully, then turned back again.

“They are also saying that once their King wakes up, you all will die.”

The wyverns nodded slowly, their eyes shifting toward Ethan and then toward Baron Fenwick.

Baron Fenwick’s face turned pale.

“What happened?” Ethan asked.

Baron Fenwick cleared his throat and forced a stiff smile. “Nothing. Tell them this is our land and they trespassed.”

Shriek.

Shriek.

Wales turned back again. “Papa, they say it is their land. They were hibernating underground in lava veins. They just woke up now.”

Ethan looked at the wyverns, then at his son.

’Is this natural?’ he wondered.

He frowned slightly. “System, you did not say anything about this.”

[A Tamer’s progression falls under Mage cultivation.]

[It is a talent, not a pure class. This world is not governed by fixed classes. The system classification only reflects the world’s structure.]

Ethan nodded inwardly.

’Hmm.’

’Whatever.’

’This is a blessing in disguise.’
