Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1418: Show of power

Michael’s words were surprising to most of them. After all, they’ve only heard that the Reborn company was an innovator. An organization that was built based on their crazy inventions that were changing the very structure of society itself.

But they never thought that they were made in the outskirts of the Royal Continent. Many people even thought that the Kings region was a place that only had crude villages and tribes that didn’t have any semblance of civilization.

They would have never thought that the Reborn company, who were now going to be considered as a front-runner to become a Conglomerate, was actually a company who had started from the literal bottom!

How could they grow to such heights in such a short amount of time?! They couldn’t understand it.

”This will serve as our introduction to the Elite Society,” Michael said. ”It is the day where we will show ourselves to be capable of standing amongst you... and win.”

Hearing this, the rest of the people in the crowd perked up.

Such inciting words, of course many would react. Michael was basically saying that he would beat every single company and organization in this room!

The dukes and the viscounts and the barons in the room all basically scoffed. After all, this was the kind of boasting that was challenging everyone into a fight! With the kind of ego that these Conglomerates had, they were just waiting for the eventual backlash.

But instead, the groups and conglomerates and organizations and companies turned silent.

They didn’t react with anger. Only seriousness.

The royals were completely flabbergasted upon seeing this. Why were they letting the Reborn company boast about things like this? Shouldn’t they tell Michael to stop dreaming?!

But no. They kept quiet, as if Michael’s words weren’t just empty boasting, but a threat! And not just an empty threat, but an actual threat that even the Conglomerates had to be wary of!

It was only at this point that the commoners and the mortals of the world were starting to realize the kind of influence and power that the Reborn company had.

The Upper Echelons and the Conglomerates had shielded these people from the truth. They had covered up everything that the Reborn company had done in an attempt to make them stop the spread of Reborn.

But now, it seemed that all of those secrets would start to come out.

”We are the Reborn company. And we will make our mark,” Michael said. ”And to do that, we will start off our party with a little competition.”

It was at this point that Michael turned towards his attendants and gave them the signal.

Suddenly, the entire floor started to rumble. Everything was moving, with gears and metal whirring into action. Everyone was suddenly worried that they were going to be swallowed in an Earthquake!

But then, the ceiling above them started to part, revealing the skies above them.

”We will be moving straight towards the racing circuit that we have prepared,” Michael said. ”We will be using our automobiles to race against each other to the finish line and see which car will be the fastest among them all.”

The dukes and the royals in the guests were all smiling, excited. After all, this was what they’d been waiting for this entire time. They had sponsored the cars from the other companies, giving them funds in order to win this competition.

A few weeks ago, when the Reborn company announced this competition, every single company in the Elite Society had been busy preparing for the race.

They improved their cars, they practiced with the circuit that Michael had shown them, and they had created innovations to try and beat the others.

The Hephaestus company seemed to be the one most excited about this race. Many royals approached the two heirs, and began to discuss the race.

Many others got up and went to their respective companies as well.

They were about to stand up and go outside to their own cars when Michael raised his hand.

”Guests, you do not have to do anything. The racing circuit will come to you.”

Michael snapped his fingers.

And suddenly, the screens on the walls started to change their images. Now, it showed a Drone-shot footage of the racing circuit about a hundred kilometers away from their current location.

It was a giant arena shaped in a figure eight, bigger than even the one in New Sparta. Around the arena where the bleachers were, hundreds of thousands of people could be seated to watch the race.

Inside the arena, there was a winding circuit with curved paths and even needle-pin turns. People from Michael’s previous world would recognize this to be one of the famous racing circuits on Earth!

There were wows and awes from the crowd as they saw this racing circuit. They’ve practiced the route already. But this circuit made it look extremely polished and professional.

Then, a few seconds later, the entire racing circuit rumbled, with dust falling and creating a cloud, before it suddenly started to hover a few inches from the ground!

It continued to float up until the entire thing was flying in the air!

The racing flew up and began to move at an incredible speed, racing through the skies like it was an automobile!

Many mortals watching from down below would remember this image forever.

Every guest in Michael’s Soiree were completely awestruck. They didn’t think that such a large structure could suddenly fly off into the skies like it was some kind of bird!

The prominent figures in the crowd, those who were Maugnetics, immediately realized that Michael had used his Nascent Aubility Power to change reality itself.

It had allowed the racing circuit to be beyond the rules of reality, allowing it to fly off like it was a solid piece of stone.

Basically, it was a way for Michael to show off his power as a Nascent Spirit cultivator!

But that wasn’t even the only thing making it possible. Those thrusters were not made out of Aubility Power at all!
