Immortal of the Nine Realms

No less than a thousand Inner Domains watched the battle. As the Saint Tower Battle intensified and more divine ability experts were eliminated, more and more Inner Domains would tune in to the next matches. Among these thousands of Inner Domains, quite a few belonged to Half Saints from the human race, as well as many from the Vajra Race.

”Yan Changkong from the Vajra Race actually died at the hands of this child. I didn’t see it when it happened. I have no idea how he managed to kill Yan Changkong.”

Half Saint Jinwu stood with his hands behind his back, frowning as he observed the battlefield.

His attention had previously been focused entirely on the center of the deathmatch zone. By the time he noticed Fang Chen was also in this sector, Yan Changkong was already dead.

”How else could he have killed him if not with his sword divine ability? Now that I think about it, he must have inherited Fang Lie’s true inheritance,” said Half Saint Zangxue impassively.

Behind the two of them stood dozens of additional figures. These were all participants who had successfully surrendered and retreated safely during the Saint Tower Battle. Not only had they gained experience from clashing with foreign races, but they could also leave the Saint Tower alive. Upon their return, their divine abilities would naturally grow greatly.

They hadn’t seen Fang Chen slay dozens of peers of the same rank with a single sword strike. Therfore, when they saw him kill a Vajra Race powerhouse who had survived three deathmatches, a look of astonishment surfaced in their eyes.

Right at that moment, ripples suddenly fluctuated within the void of the Inner Domain once more. Half Saint Jinwu flicked his sleeve. An Inner Domain abruptly manifested before his eyes.

Standing within the portal was a burly man whose skin was reddish-gold. Behind him stood several entities whose skin was white-gold. Further back were hundreds of individuals who were completely silver-white.

Vajra Race!

The expressions of the divine ability experts standing behind the two Half Saints changed slightly.

Half Saint Jinwu took a slow step forward, cupping his hands in a respectful bow. ”I am Half Saint Jinwu of the human race. Greetings, Your Excellency.”

Half Saint Zangxue also cupped her hands in a salute, her expression remaining calm.

Being completely reddish-gold meant that the individual was a Half Saint of the Vajra Race.

”My name is Yan Haoran,” Yan Haoran spoke slowly from within the portal, his booming voice echoing throughout the Inner Domain. ”I ask you, what is the background of that human divine ability expert who just struck and killed Yan Changkong?”

Half Saint Jinwu’s expression shifted. He replied with a tone of slight deference, ”He is a direct lineage descendant of our human race’s newly ascended Saint.”

”Oh, that Saint is named Fang, right? I’ve heard fellow Daoists of the Flame Race mention him.”

Yan Haoran nodded. ”For this youth to be able to kill my unpromising grandnephew, he is talented. Your human race’s race fortune seems to be at its peak, rising like oil added to a raging fire.”

Half Saint Jinwu replied modestly, ”You flatter us.”

Yan Haoran smiled faintly. ”No need to be modest. If you can contact Saint Fang, remember to pass on a message for me: once the Saint Tower Battle concludes, I will pay them a visit.”

With those words, the portal to his Inner Domain slowly faded away.

A faint smile surfaced on Half Saint Jinwu’s face as he glanced at Half Saint Zangxue. ”The Fang Clan is in trouble. Being targeted by the Yan Clan of the Vajra Race this time will cost them at least ten percent of their vitality.”

Half Saint Zangxue frowned. ”If the Vajra Race decides to heavily back the Flame Race because of this, we won’t have an easy time either.”

”That won’t happen. The Divine Realm has its rules. Even if they dare to violate the Realm Lord’s rules, the Supreme Qingming Alliance itself is still watching. The disparity in foundation between the Vajra Race and the human race is massive. Leveraging strength to bully the weak without a valid justification will only invite suppression from the Realm Lord. The Vajra Race wouldn’t dare take such a risk. At most, they will visit to seek guidance and exchange pointers on divine abilities, which is well within permitted boundaries.”

Having said his piece, Half Saint Jinwu raised his hand. Another wave of ripples appeared in the void ahead.

A paper-thin portal manifested before everyone. The chilling gaze of the Half Saint Zangling locked onto the Half Saint Jinwu and the Half Saint Zangxue through the portal.

Half Saint Zangling asked indifferently, ”What is it?”

Half Saint Jinwu said with a smile, ”Yan Haoran, a Half Saint of the Vajra Race’s Yan Clan, just came looking for me. He said that after the Saint Tower Battle ends, he will lead a contingent to pay a visit to the Fang Clan.”

His gaze swept past the Half Saint Zangling, landing on the eliminated divine ability experts of the Fang Clan. Seeing the trace of panic on their faces, he nodded in satisfaction. ”I am merely passing along the message. You should give the Fang Clan a heads-up when the time comes. They should prepare early.”

Half Saint Zangling replied neutrally, ”Understood.”

The portal receded into the void and vanished.

This time, Fang Chen unleashed seventy to eighty percent of his true strength. Like a tiger throwing itself into a flock of sheep, he chose to clash head-on with the Vajra Race.

With the enhancement of his Sword Body, his physical resilience was clearly superior to that of these Vajra Race members whose cultivations were roughly on par with his. His ultimate trump card, however, was his inexhaustible supply of immortal essence. With this endless reserve backing him, Fang Chen grew increasingly fierce as the battle raged.

In practically a matter of a few punches and kicks, he could blow a Vajra Race member apart.

Seeing that scene, the movements of the Jinyang Alliance and Luoxue Alliance divine ability experts couldn’t help but stiffen, causing their moves to become riddled with errors. As a result, the moment the two sides clashed, it was actually Fang Chen’s outnumbered side that held a distinct upper hand.

The nearby foreign races watched the battle while remaining alert against anyone trying to fish in troubled waters. They had absolutely no intention of intervening, hoping only that both sides would end up mutually destroyed. This would allow them to reap the greatest benefits.

Within ten minutes, the final Vajra Race member was killed, and Fang Chen joined the fray against the Jinyang Alliance and Luoxue Alliance. The moment he entered the battle, the divine ability experts of both alliances instantly felt a crushing weight of pressure.

It wasn’t until they had lost half their manpower that a divine ability expert from the Jinyang Alliance finally begged for mercy.

”We are all of the same race! Stop the killing blows! The moment the time comes, we will surrender and leave immediately. Grant us a path to live!”

His words stirred a reaction from Fang Ximeng, who hesitated for a moment.

Fang Chen’s reprimand rang out in the ears of Fang Ximeng and the others.

”The Jinyang Alliance and Luoxue Alliance chose to conspire with foreign races, yet you still harbor mercy? Do you think you’ve lived enough already?”

They snapped out of it instantly. Without showing any further mercy, they resumed delivering fatal blows.

Before long, the divine ability experts of both alliances were completely wiped out.

The Half Saints from the Jinyang Alliance and Luoxue Alliance who witnessed this scene took a deep, lingering look at Fang Chen. It was as if they were trying to ingrain the young man’s face into their minds.

Fang Chen suddenly swept his gaze across the numerous Inner Domain portals drifting in the void. He knew that among these portals, quite a few represented Half Saints from the Jinyang and Luoxue Alliances, as well as plenty from the Vajra Race. Perhaps even two or three actual Saints were residing within them.

Fang Chen looked down at the corpses beneath his feet. ”Just how many Half Saints and Saints exist in the Divine Realms? Are they as countless as the stars in the sky...?”

He wasn’t much different from these scattered corpses. At the very least, as of right now, he too was nothing more than a tiny bug.

Fang Chen chuckled softly to himself. Even if I am only a bug, I still have a nasty bite.

He turned his attention to the foreign divine ability experts.

”I am warning you, don’t try anything! If you want a fight, we will all join forces against you. If not, the moment the time is up, we will simply surrender and concede!” a foreign expert shouted out, his eyes thoroughly filled with wariness.
