Chapter 6675: Netherworld Sect’s Sacred Realm

Baili Xukong, Dongfang Hansong, and the others found Chu Feng via the observation treasure.

“It really is Chu Feng!”

Baili Xukong clenched his jaw, but his face was warped in joy and excitement. He was putting his future on the line when he requested the six neutral elders to channel the Netherworld God Bestowment.

What he didn’t know was that there was someone as excited as him—Dongfang Hansong.

No one desired Chu Feng’s death more than him.

Baili Xukong and Dongfang Hansong hurriedly gathered their people and rushed toward where Chu Feng was.

“It’s done.”

Lie Shan and the other neutral elders smiled.

The illusory formation had already locked onto Chu Feng and would soon drag him into its realm.

Baili Xukong and the others were already rushing over. Once they encircled Chu Feng, they would release the Netherworld God Bestowment, and they would be able to capture Chu Feng.

Only Cang Li looked conflicted. Despite having learned that Chu Feng wasn’t the Netherworld Master’s descendant, and that Dongfang Hansong had informed him that the Chu Clan Alliance had killed Yun Ao, he still felt regretful that a prodigy like Chu Feng was going to die here.

In the meantime, Chu Feng’s consciousness was dragged into the illusory formation.

“Don’t worry, Yu’er and Brother Fei. This seems to be targeted at people who possess the Netherworld Embryo, but there seems to be another use for this treasure. I might be able to overcome it,” Chu Feng said before he closed his eyes, allowing the energy to drag him into the illusory formation.

“Hold on. Something is weird. I feel like I’m being dragged into the illusory formation as well!” Lie Shan exclaimed in a panic.

“I feel the same as well.”

The other neutral elders were appalled as well.

They were the ones channeling the Netherworld God Bestowment; they shouldn’t have been dragged into it as well. But before they could figure out what was going on, their surroundings had begun to distort.

By the time they snapped out of it, they were already in the middle of a barren mountain range.

“Who are these brats?” Cang Li was taken aback.

Standing before him were no longer the five neutral elders but five children who looked to be around seven to eight years old.

“Aren’t you a child yourself?” one of the children asked.

“W-what the...”

Cang Li touched his face and was shocked by how smooth his complexion was. He was no longer an old man but a child.

Everyone was stunned. Despite their young appearances, they had mature expressions. Indeed, all of them had reverted to their younger selves.

“Something is amiss with Jie Tianran’s talisman papers. We didn’t just activate the illusory formation to take down Chu Feng. We fully activated the Netherworld God Bestowment, and that resulted in us being dragged into the sacred realm,” Ting Yun said.

“Aren’t we dead meat then?!” Lie Shan and the others were horrified.

“That doesn’t sound right. The sacred realm should be red, and the Netherworld God’s true form should be awaiting us there. This place is barren; there isn’t a single blade of grass to be seen. The sky is also blue with white clouds. This isn’t the sacred realm,” Cang Li replied.

“You’re right.” Ting Yun nodded in agreement.

But soon, the sky turned red, and the clouds took a darker shade of blood red. Even the barren mountain range looked blood red.

“We are... really in the sacred realm...”

The six neutral elders felt their hearts clenching up.

“Oh no. I feel my Netherworld Embryo stirring. It is the Netherworld God’s summon! We are really in the sacred realm! How did we get in here? We’re doomed! What should we do? Do we really have to challenge the Netherworld God?”

Lie Shan, despite being the largest child in the group, panicked. His face reflected his horror.

“We’ll die if we don’t challenge it,” Cang Li said, though his face was also marked with despair.

The Netherworld God Bestowment was rarely invoked because the chosen individual would be dragged into the sacred realm to challenge the Netherworld God. The challenge required one to withstand ten strikes from the Netherworld God, but thus far, no one had succeeded.

There had been many challengers in the Netherworld Sect’s history, and in the past, their sect used to have treasures that could be used alongside the Netherworld God Bestowment to see what was happening inside the sacred realm from the outside.

It was through these observation treasures that they knew how difficult it was to overcome the Netherworld God’s trial.

None of the challengers survived a single blow.

Barely after the Netherworld god raised his hand, the challengers were crushed by the sheer pressure of his falling strike.

“In the sacred realm, our ages are determined by the strength of our Netherworld Embryos. Despite our advanced ages, we still regressed into seven, eight-year-old children. This shows just how weak our Netherworld Embryos are. How can we challenge the Netherworld God in this condition? We’ll be obliterated by his fart!” Lie Shan exclaimed.

“Our talent and compatibility with the Netherworld Embryo have never been top-notch. We wouldn’t have attained our current level of strength if not for Lord Netherworld Master,” Cang Li remarked with a sigh.

Even the usually calm Ting Yun couldn’t help but grumble, “Baili Xukong has really put us in a spot this time.”

Boom!

Powerful oppressive might suddenly descended from the sky, causing the six neutral elders’ breathing to hasten. At the same time, the blood-red color in the sky deepened.

“Oh no. The sky is starting to change colors. The trial begins the moment the sky turns black. That’s the moment we are all going to die here!” Lie Shan cried.

“The darker the sky, the more intense the oppressive might. We don’t have our cultivation here; we’re only barely stronger than mortals due to our Netherworld Embryos. At this rate, we’ll be crushed by the oppressive might before the trial begins,” Cang Li said.

A cry of agony echoed.

Lie Shan kneeled on the ground, kowtowing and wailing, “Lord Netherworld Master, your unfilial subordinate will have to leave before meeting you!”

It was a ridiculous sight, but three other neutral elders followed suit and began kowtowing, too.

“Lord Netherworld Master, your servant misses you, but I was blind and allowed myself to be deceived by that dog thing, Baili Xukong!”

“Lord Netherworld Master, your servant is dying to witness your current grandeur in person, but I fear that I’ll never have a chance to do so!”

Their words and emotions were sincere.

“Enough.” Cang Li kicked Lie Shan and said, “It’s not over yet. There is a good chance that we can survive this ordeal.”

But the four kneeling elders didn’t believe him.

“You don’t need to deceive us. If even our elders can’t do it, how can we withstand Lord Netherworld God’s ten blows?” Lie Shan didn’t believe it.

“It is beyond us, but someone else might just pull it off,” Cang Li replied.

“Who?” Lie Shan asked.

Ting Yun exclaimed in astonishment,” Ah!”

The other three elders also thought of something and shot to their feet.

“Chu Feng!”
