Chapter 6368: Brief Reunion

“Feng... Feng’er,” Song Luoyi called out to Chu Feng carefully as if worrying that she would frighten him if she was too loud.

“It’s me, grandmother. It’s me,” Chu Feng quickly replied.

He was both surprised and overjoyed. He thought his grandmother wouldn’t recognize him, and that he would have to explain himself. He didn’t think she would recognize him at a glance.

“Feng’er. It really is Feng’er!”

The flames covering the sky went out. Even the heat dissipated.

Ye Xiancheng’s parents breathed a sigh of relief.

Song Luoyi looked at Chu Feng with trembling lips as tears brimmed in her eyes. She looked choked up with emotion.

“Grandmother.”

Chu Feng flew forth from the palace and went up to Song Luoyi.

“Am I dreaming?” Song Luoyi murmured in self-doubt.

She couldn’t believe her eyes, especially since she was often in the wrong state of mind. Such blissful reunions had only existed in her dreams, but she would then wake up and revert to her mindless state.

“Grandmother, this isn’t a dream. I am Chu Feng,” Chu Feng said.

He also felt choked up, seeing his grandmother’s reddened eyes and disbelieving gaze. She was so often in a frenzied state that she shouldn’t have recognized him, but it would appear that she was still taking in news from her surroundings. That would explain why she recognized him right away when her mind cleared up.

His grandmother’s suffering was greater than he could have imagined.

She wanted to regain her clarity of mind to protect the people she cared about, but she was unable to do so. That was her greatest regret.

“Feng’er, y-you have suffered.”

Song Luoyi couldn’t hold back her feelings, and tears streamed down her cheeks. She gently touched his cheeks with trembling hands. Her body was quivering too.

Chu Feng must have been important to her for someone of her strength to break down like that.

“Grandmother, I’m fine.”

Chu Feng shook his head. It was as if he had transformed from the strongest junior in the world of cultivation into an obedient child, Song Luoyi’s grandson.

That made Song Luoyi’s lips quiver even more. Countless words and questions were at the tip of her tongue, but she struggled to voice them aloud at this moment.

Just then, another change happened to the Immemorial Cemetery.

The words ‘God Curse’ reappeared on Song Luoyi’s forehead. The concern in her eyes gave way to impassiveness. She turned from Chu Feng as if he were a mere stranger to look at the Immemorial Cemetery.

“Grandmother!” Chu Feng called out as he quickly formed a hand seal.

He had planted a formation inside his grandmother’s mind via the recovery formation while treating her. The purpose of the formation was to help her temporarily regain her clarity of mind.

Yet, his means failed.

Song Luoyi didn’t react at all. She vanished the next instant.

Chu Feng sensed that she had left for the Immemorial Cemetery.

“Is it the God Curse? Is there a connection between the God Curse and the Immemorial Cemetery? Or has my grandmother sensed something inside the Immemorial Cemetery?” Chu Feng murmured with a conflicted look.

It hadn’t been easy for him to reunite with his grandmother, but they parted ways over this inexplicable reason.

“Chu Feng, where did your grandmother go?” Eggy flitted over to Chu Feng’s side and asked.

“She probably went to the Immemorial Cemetery,” Chu Feng replied.

“The Immemorial Cemetery? Why is she going there? Hold on. Now that I think about it, your grandmother seemed to have regained consciousness because of the Immemorial Cemetery’s phenomenon. Is your grandmother drawn to something there?” Eggy asked.

“That appears to be the case,” Chu Feng replied.

Song Yun flitted over to Chu Feng’s side too.

“We should leave now.”

She whipped out a talisman paper and crushed it. A surge of teleportation energy enveloped Chu Feng and Eggy.

The next moment, they appeared a very far distance away from the warship.

Song Yun was worried the Ye Immortal Clan would threaten Chu Feng once more after Song Luoyi left, so she thought it would be safer to leave.

Seconds later, an amplified voice echoed from the warship, reaching every nook and cranny of the realm. “Young hero Chu Feng, pardon my offense. Our Ye Immortal Clan owes you a favor, and we’re willing to compensate you generously.”

It was from the female grand elder.

“Are they seeking a reconciliation now? Looks like my worry is in vain,” Song Yun said.

“Of course! Chu Feng’s grandmother breached their ancestral formation with such ease. They would be risking extinction if they continued to go after us,” Eggy scoffed.

“Big sister world spirit is right.” Song Yun turned to Chu Feng and asked, “Big brother Chu Feng, did our grandmother head to the Immemorial Cemetery?”

“I think so,” Chu Feng replied.

“Big brother Chu Feng, do you intend to enter the Immemorial Cemetery too?” Song Yun asked.

“I have to find my grandmother,” Chu Feng replied.

Long Zhuoyan had warned Chu Feng against entering the Immemorial Cemetery, saying that she couldn’t see through it even with her means. Chu Feng had also heeded her words, leaving after discovering that the Immemorial Cemetery was the place she mentioned.

But things were different now.

He was worried about his grandmother venturing into the enigmatic Immemorial Cemetery even though she had displayed incredible prowess. He would have to go to the Immemorial Cemetery too now. Perhaps this was all fated.

“Our grandmother is in danger. Big brother Chu Feng, you should rush over. I have other matters to attend to, so I’ll look for you later,” Song Yun said as she passed a tracking talisman over.

This tracking talisman would allow Song Yun to pinpoint Chu Feng’s location once they were within a certain radius of each other. Chu Feng had also given something similar to Little Fishy and Wang Qiang.

“What do you intend to do?” Chu Feng asked as he accepted the tracking talisman.

“I’m just settling a few things. I’ll be done in a jiffy,” Song Yun replied.

“Take care of yourself,” Chu Feng said.

“You too, big brother Chu Feng.” Song Yun smiled. She turned to Eggy and said, “Byebye, big sister world spiritist who is more beautiful than me.”

With that, she left.
