Chapter 1115: Forcing A System Patch

After two more swings of his sword, Izroth once again activated the passive effect of the Fifth Sword Form: Receding Tides, sending over another wave of sword intent at Zitra.

Meanwhile, the lightning from Izrothʼs Fourth State: Heavenly Field struck down close to Zitra. Although he was not directly hit by the lightning this time around, he still suffered from some damage.

As soon as Zitra got too close, Izroth utilized the teleportation effect of the heavenly field and his natural movement to create distance. He also continued to slash out with his sword, activating Fifth Sword Form: Receding Tides several times per teleportation.

After five seconds of doing this, the lightning came to an abrupt halt. Even though the Fourth State: Heavenly Field lasted for five minutes, the torrents of lightning only happened for five seconds every ten seconds. This meant that there was a small window of time where Izroth could not use the instant movement ability of the heavenly field. Of course, this was the reason why he employed the Silver Inversion Disc.

Zeeeut!

During the window where he was unable to use the heavenly field to teleport, Izroth simply switched his main mode of transportation to the teleportation effect of the Silver Inversion Disc.

Each time Izroth used the Silver Inversion Disc to teleport, it consumed the magic itemʼs power. Izroth understood that if he relied solely on the Silver Inversion Disc, it would not take long for it to run out of power before he could complete his task. Therefore, his idea was to use it solely during the five-second window where the lightning from his heavenly field stopped raining down.

Overall, Izrothʼs plan was simple. He used Cosmic Seizing Vortex to keep Zitraʼs actions locked and make it so that he could not retaliate, Fourth State: Heavenly Field and the Silver Inversion Disc teleportation capabilities to keep Zitra under the influence of his Cosmic Seizing Vortex, and utilized the passive effect of the Fifth Sword Form: Receding Tides on top of the mimicking effects of the Sixth Sword Form: Double Blooming Lotus to generate a steady stream of ranged attacks. After all, if he got within normal melee range, the pulling effect from his Cosmic Seizing Vortex would undoubtedly end as the attack connected to Zitra.

ʼItʼs too bad I canʼt use Dual Wielding to speed things up without having to forcibly end Cosmic Seizing Vortex.ʼ

In order to maintain the pulling effect from the Cosmic Seizing Vortex, not only did Izroth have to stay out of melee range of Zitra, but he also needed to keep the hand that cast the skill free. In other words, Izroth could only fight with one hand. But, considering the method he was employing, one hand was more than enough.

Bzzzt...! Clap!

The five-second window quickly passed by as lightning started to rain down again. The instant this occurred, Izroth switched back over to using the heavenly field and its lightning to move around the room.

Additionally, Izrothʼs strategic use of his teleportation capabilities ensured that Zitra was consistently being hit by the return strikes of the fifth sword form.

With the combination of the attacks from his fifth sword form and the damage from the heavenly field lightning strikes, Izroth began to steadily chip away at the boss monsterʼs HP.

65%...

50%...

25%...

23%...

After a little more than three minutes, Izroth shaved away 77% of Zitraʼs HP. The entire time, the Head Lab Assistant was unable to fight back in the slightest!

If someone could see the way Izroth treated the level 75 rare boss, they would think their mind was playing a trick on them. After all, how could a player single-handedly render a level 75 rare boss utterly useless?! They may even feel sympathy for Zitra seeing as how he was not even permitted to lift one finger!

Without warning, Izroth recalled the Silver Inversion Disc as it rapidly shrunk and rushed back to his side. At the same time, he forcibly terminated the heavenly field as the torrent of

lightning stopped.

”This should much should be enough.ʼ

Naturally, Izroth did not suddenly feel pity for Zitra. Nor did he plan on switching to a different set of tactics. Zitraʼs health had simply reached the threshold Izroth was aiming for.

Bang!

Zitra crashed into Izrothʼs fist as the pulling effect of the Cosmic Seizing Vortex finally came

to an end.
