The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 969: Chapter 362: Confession and Encounter_2

”That day abroad, even though I drank a lot, I knew I was sober. I tried desperately to get myself drunk but failed. When he found me again, I compromised. Although I was still reserved, I knew I was compromising...”

Ji Xiaoxi murmured, ”I responded to him so passionately, but it felt so good, that feeling of kissing. Later, he asked me for more... I agreed again, and in the eyes of the Saintess, I pleased him in such a shameless way.”

At this moment, Mr. Liu finally spoke, ”What did it feel like?”

”What?”

Ji Xiaoxi was stunned and asked in confusion.

”Oh, I’m asking about your inner feelings.”

Mr. Liu cleared his throat and repeated his question.

”I also felt very pleased.”

Ji Xiaoxi whispered, ”I can’t lie to myself. This is the true feeling I had recollecting the incident the next day... But the more I feel this way, the more panicked I become. I clearly hate these things, and I don’t know why I’ve become like this.”

”Xixi, listening to your description, I actually think the problem isn’t as severe as you imagine.”

”Really?”

”Yes.”

Mr. Liu adjusted his tone and said with a smile, ”From what you’ve described, you probably have little experience in this area, but after experiencing enough, you’ll realize it’s just human nature.”

”Human nature?”

”Yes, fundamentally, we are all animals. Do you know what the most unique thing about humans is among all the animals on Earth?”

”What is it?”

Ji Xiaoxi asked curiously.

”Humans are the only species among all animals that are in a constant state of sexual receptivity 24/7. The instinct to reproduce seems ingrained in our genes and cannot be erased.”

Mr. Liu said softly, ”No other animal is like this except humans. In other words, it’s human nature to be lustful.”

”Lustful...”

Ji Xiaoxi fell silent.

”Child, you should also know that in traditional doctrine, clergy are not allowed to marry. So, why do you think our new church has gained more followers?”

Mr. Liu asked and answered with a smile, ”Because we understand the true meaning of the Lord, we no longer suppress the human nature of clergy, allowing us as priests to marry freely and build our own families... Therefore, you don’t need to blame yourself; it’s simply due to nature, and the Lord will not blame you for it.”

Upon hearing this, Ji Xiaoxi nodded. After Mr. Liu finished speaking, she couldn’t help but say, ”But my sins don’t stop there.”

”What else is there?”

Mr. Liu asked in surprise.

”Besides infidelity, I am also... unfaithful.”

Ji Xiaoxi revealed her most painful point, ”I have a boyfriend, and our relationship has always been good. I betrayed him. Mr. Liu, you know, I never even really kissed Chen He...”

”...”

Mr. Liu fell silent again, and after a long pause, he spoke slowly, ”Have you ever seriously examined your own heart, who you truly want, or rather... what you truly want?”

Ji Xiaoxi raised her head in a daze, murmuring, ”Yes, what could it be?”

...

More than ten minutes later, when Ji Xiaoxi finally walked out of the chapel, two men and a woman taking pictures at the church entrance smiled and came over.

”Xixi, you’re so slow, come on, let’s take a group photo!”

The girl waving at Ji Xiaoxi was slightly older than her. Although not as beautiful as Ji Xiaoxi, her well-defined features and slightly mature outfit gave her a unique charm.

She was Ji Xiaoxi’s distant cousin, Cheng Xueqing. Next to her, a young man wearing a baseball jacket and glasses, looking quite honest, was her fiancé, Li Fei. The two had just gotten engaged a few days ago.

Due to Zhou Wang’s request, Ji Xiaoxi and the vice president of the company, Wu Yanqiu, were temporarily staying in Beidou. Although Zhou Wang hadn’t contacted them to this day, as long as Zhou Wang didn’t say anything, Wu Nala wouldn’t let her leave, and Zhang Shihao wouldn’t care about such a trivial matter. As a result, Ji Xiaoxi inexplicably had an extra ten-day vacation.

Although Wuyou Media also has branches in Beidou, Ji Xiaoxi still had some minor tasks, but overall, she had more leisure time.

It happened that her cousin Cheng Xueqing got engaged in Beidou, and Ji Xiaoxi helped with the arrangements. The two had a good relationship in their youth, and now they were becoming close again. Because of Cheng Xueqing’s presence, Ji Xiaoxi’s parents felt at ease leaving Beidou after the engagement banquet, leaving Cheng Xueqing to look after her.

Otherwise, following her parents’ usual approach, they would most likely have stayed in Beidou to accompany her...

This allowed Ji Xiaoxi to breathe a sigh of relief.

Such ”free time” was rather rare for her.

But it wasn’t all that ”free,” because standing beside her cousin Cheng Xueqing and soon-to-be brother-in-law Liu Fei was that middle-aged man.

”Middle-aged man” was Ji Xiaoxi’s own way of describing him. She didn’t dislike older men; in fact, like most girls, she could accept up to a ten-year age difference in romantic relationships.

The only thing she disliked about this man named Yue Junnan was that although he was not yet thirty, he dressed in an old-fashioned manner.

Simply put, he appeared gentlemanly and mature, but in reality, exuded an air of greasiness.
