Crafting an Immortal Race with Daily Hexagrams

Chapter 265: Chapter 185: Daying Immortal Mansion (Part 6)

...

The winter snow falls, dressing the world in silver, crystalline everywhere.

On the west side of Black Water Pool, in the courtyard with gray walls and blue tiles, a young man with a bare torso wields a white waxwood long spear, making it whistle as he practices in the martial arts arena.

The long spear sweeps across, a beam of spear energy lifts the pile of freshly swept snow nearby!

As the snowflakes fly through the sky, the young man suddenly thrusts forward!

Red spiritual power bursts forth from the spear shaft!

Instantly, the snowflakes turned into countless droplets, splashing everywhere!

The young man’s lips curve up in a satisfied grin.

But before he can retract his spear, the air behind him suddenly ripples, and a giant shadow of a ruler appears, striking his back!

Smack!

The young man grimaces in pain, hurriedly turns around and clasps his hands in respect: ”Master!”

Lu Zhiyuan stands under the distant corridor, sternly says: ”The disciples of the Clan Court worked hard to clean the courtyard, and now you’ve messed it up.”

Shen Chonghong turns to see the chaotic courtyard, sheepishly scratches his head and clasps his hands: ”Master, don’t be angry, don’t be angry, I’ll clean it up right away!”

With that, he tosses the long spear aside and runs to find a broom.

”Forget it.”

Lu Zhiyuan looks at him and shakes his head: ”Come with me.”

Shen Chonghong hears this, his face immediately falls.

He knows he’ll have to copy the clan rules again.

Who knows if it’s twenty times or more?

Ever since he returned from the mountain frontline, his father detained him, left him at the Clan Court.

Almost a year now, Master Lu forbids him from practicing martial arts, aside from daily cultivation, it’s all reading, playing chess, and calligraphy, saying he needs to hone his temperament.

But he is wild by nature, not one to sit still.

Truly, his bottom itches on the bench, and he gets drowsy at the sight of books.

Today, he finally seized the chance when Lu Zhiyuan left, sneaking in some spear practice for fun.

Of course, he was caught again.

”Master, please spare me.”

Chasing after Lu Zhiyuan, Shen Chonghong pleads desperately.

But Lu Zhiyuan ignores him, leads him into the Precepts Hall, pointing at the desk.

Shen Chonghong, with a bitter face, reluctantly sits on the bench.

Lu Zhiyuan waves his hand, and a robe flies over by itself.

”As part of the Shen Family’s direct lineage, baring your chest like this, where is the propriety?”

Shen Chonghong pouts and obediently dons the robe.

”Clan rules, thirty times.”

”Finish today or add fifty times tomorrow.”

Lu Zhiyuan says, then writes the word ”trapped” in the air, which transforms into a cage imprisoning him on the bench.

”Master, I need to pee!”

Seeing this, Shen Chonghong quickly shouts.

”Hold it in.”

Lu Zhiyuan walks slowly toward the room’s exit.

”I can’t hold it!” Shen Chonghong yells, but Lu Zhiyuan has already walked away.

He tries to use spiritual power to break the cage trapping him.

Yet clearly, he lacks the strength, the cage transformation by literary Qi is unusually sturdy, withstands all his attacks without budging.

After wasting his energy, Shen Chonghong slumps, bored, he doodles with the brush on the paper.

...

At the annual festival, on the official road outside Yunshui Town, carrying a silver long spear, a young man rides a reddish-brown steed galloping toward the distance.

”I’m free!”

Looking at the winding road ahead, feeling the free breeze around him, Shen Chonghong can’t help but shout loudly, drawing glances from passersby.

Among these passersby are some of the Shen Family clan members.

But none recognize him.

Because years ago, he was always in the manor with several direct lineage of the Shen Family, later went straight to the mountain frontline.

By name, these outsiders may know he’s a young master of the Shen Family, but by appearance, few could identify him.

”Leaving home like this, soon Ah Die and elder brother will discover, I must seize this chance to find a place they cannot...”

Galloping on the official road, Shen Chonghong secretly ponders this unique opportunity to wander freely.

”I’ve got it!”

After some thought, a smile spreads across his face.

He has a very interesting place in mind, unlikely spotted by family.

Three Mountains County, Seven Sages Mountain Secret Realm!

He heard from his big brother Shen Chongming about the Seven Sages Mountain Secret Realm, always curious about things within.

Seizing the pre-festival moment, tricking Master into saying he wants to accompany family, he made his escape.

Planning to take a good look at the Seven Sages Mountain Secret Realm.

With a decision made, Shen Chonghong firmly strikes the horse’s back, galloping toward Three Mountains County.

...

Evening.

Shen Family Manor, a disciple from the Clan Court rushes over, salutes Shen Chongming: ”Young Clan Leader, has Young Master Chonghong returned?”

Shen Chongming is stunned for a moment, then looks at two cultivators guarding the entrance.

The two exchange a glance and shake their heads: ”We’ve been guarding here, haven’t seen Young Master return.”

”Something’s wrong!”

The Clan Court disciple’s face changes: ”During the day, Young Master asked to leave, said with the approaching festival, he wants to spend time with family.”

”Master didn’t think much of it and allowed Young Master to leave.”

”Now fearing Young Master will run around, Master sent someone to check, but didn’t expect...”
