Almighty Sweet Queen is Really Rich!

The next day was already Friday, and Su Li was directly taken away and locked in by Feng Huaijin on the grounds that she was ”still in ovulation.”

She didn’t even catch the first broadcast of the documentary series The Final Journey at 20:00 on Friday night on CCTV’s Education Channel.

Tuanzi sat alone in his children’s room, looking at Aunt Su Yun on the TV with a face full of respect. In a solemn yet gentle atmosphere, she was putting makeup on the deceased, letting them leave on the final journey of life with dignity.

Tuanzi remembered that the year his dad and mom died, Aunt Su Yun had already been promoted from the funeral home in Jiangzhou Prefecture to An City. It seemed that it was Aunt Su Yun who did his mom’s makeup, right?

The documentary was educational, and it was also Tuanzi’s first time seeing such a documentary, so he was truly shocked.

Let alone a little kid like Tuanzi being shocked, even a whole bunch of adults watched in utter shock.

In their eyes, funeral homes were very mysterious, and anyone who dared to work there had to be rough-and-tumble macho guys with nerves of steel. But... there were actually pretty young ladies! And quite a few of them!

In their eyes, this job was extraordinarily meaningful, sending each deceased person off on their final journey with a sense of solemnity—no horror, only a faint, gentle warmth.

After the first episode of the documentary aired, it triggered heated discussion online. Funeral homes didn’t seem as scary as they’d imagined, and it felt like they’d really been looking at them through tinted glasses...

The next day, Su Li got out of bed with an aching waist and a sore back, and only then belatedly realized... the whole internet was full of netizens talking about this documentary!

In just one night, this documentary had actually become the number one CCTV documentary in ratings this year!

Damn, documentaries can go viral too?

This was beyond everyone’s expectations, totally jaw-dropping!

No one knew whether it was because netizens were curious, or because it just so happened to ride the heat from the Star Sky Entertainment investigation, but anyway, the online views for the first episode’s premiere were shooting up like crazy!

The documentary’s director even gave an interview, saying, ”If you make a film seriously, the audience will see your sincerity.”

When Director Qin Tai saw this interview, he directly smashed the coffee cup in his hand to the ground with a slap, spat, and started cursing: ”Sincerity my ass! Isn’t it just riding on a gimmick? He really thinks a damn documentary can blow up?”

Ever since his niche variety show got steamrolled by Star Sky Entertainment’s The Most Beautiful Voice last time, he’d been getting mocked by netizens nonstop.

A few days ago he’d gone on Weibo to throw shade at Star Sky Entertainment for having connections, and in less than a few hours, CCTV personally stepped out, slapping him hard in the face.

Qin Tai had no choice but to delete that Weibo post, and got mocked by a swarm of rubbernecking netizens for several days.

And now the documentary they produced had a pretty good premiere too? Who knew if it was even real!

Qin Tai felt a little stifled. IMC Entertainment had sent people to investigate Star Sky Entertainment, and in the end they didn’t get a single benefit out of it, while those guys managed to launch their documentary smoothly?

Otherwise, their documentary could forget about making even the tiniest splash!

Could this be considered as secretly helping them out?

Just as Qin Tai was feeling heartbroken, the door was suddenly yanked open from the outside with a crash.

Qin Tai’s expression instantly darkened. ”What the hell are you pulling? Don’t you know to knock before coming in?”

The young assistant’s face was as white as a sheet, and he stammered, ”Director Qin, Director Qin, there’s a massive earthquake in the entertainment circle! The inspection authorities from above have gone to major entertainment companies for surprise inspections, you... you...”

Qin Tai’s face changed in a flash, his voice rising to a sharp pitch: ”Surprise inspections???”

Holy shit!
