Almighty Sweet Queen is Really Rich!

Chapter 496: Chapter 496: Aren’t You Afraid of Bragging Too Much?

Tuanzi told her, during the filming of ”Phoenix Perching on the Phoenix Tree”, a scandal suddenly broke out accusing renowned screenwriter Yan Huan of plagiarizing her younger sister Yan Le’s works.

From previous works like ”Peaceful Mountains and Rivers” and ”Brocade World,” all were Yan Le’s creations. Later, Yan Le was driven to death, slitting her wrists and committing suicide in her apartment. An anonymous investor went against all odds and insisted on filming ”Phoenix Perching on the Phoenix Tree” based on the solitary content found in Yan Le’s apartment.

Thus, this unexpectedly popular drama saw the supporting actress Liu Ying become the lead overnight, becoming a hot topic among the public.

Yan Huan was so furious that smoke seemed to rise from her head, but before she could leap up and refute, a gray figure abruptly stood and grasped Yan Le’s wrist, eyes filled with disdain: ”Yan Le, haven’t you had enough? Do you still want to take away the script your sister cares about most?”

Su Li was astonished inside, hearing Zhao Xiaoyan say, ”That’s Mu Shian from Chenguang Entertainment, President Mu, and he’s Yan Huan’s screenwriter boyfriend.”

Yan Le, her face pale as a ghost, looked up at the handsome man before her: ”I wrote that, I...”

Yan Huan suddenly stepped down from the stage, took Yan Le’s hand, and said sadly to the crowd: ”I’m sorry, my sister used to have a dream of literature, but her mental state gradually deteriorated after her legs became disabled.”

The crowd had an epiphany, rumors had been circulating — Yan Huan lived a tough life, having lost both parents, she also had to care for a disabled sister with mental illness.

A reporter began to sneer lightly: ”It definitely seems like mental illness, isn’t this delusion?”

Zhao Xiaoyan derisively said, ”Heh, having a mental illness really allows someone to do whatever they want, I’d say, Yan Huan should just cut off her sister’s livelihood!”

Yan Huan held the desolate-faced Yan Le’s hand and spoke fondly: ”Lele, if saying ’Phoenix Perching on the Phoenix Tree’ was written by you makes you happy, then sister will give it to you, ’Phoenix Perching on the Phoenix Tree’ is yours.”

The journalists around started whispering with sympathy, feeling increasingly sorry for Yan Huan, casting disdainful glances at Yan Le.

Eating what her sister provides, drinking what her sister gives, and now even wanting to seize her sister’s works, is this still a human?

How can statements made by a mentally ill person be believed?

The suited-up Mu Shian grimly stared, forcefully wheeling Yan Le out of the opening ceremony.

Whispering cries of Yan Le pleading could still be heard: ”I really wrote it, all of it, I’m not crazy, Shi An, believe me, you all believe me...”

Yan Huan’s lips curled with a glint of triumph. Lele, who would believe the words of someone mentally ill?

A moment suddenly arose where Yan Huan’s gaze collided with Su Li’s profound eyes, as if attempting to see right through her. Yan Huan felt a chill run down her spine, subconsciously averting her gaze.

Yan Huan cursed inwardly, vowing to take action if she encountered Su Li again.

The incident with Yan Huan’s younger sister causing trouble was merely a small occurrence at the opening ceremony and soon forgotten.

He Jiaren was rather regretful; this had to come out of it.

Brother Hao approached, ready to carry out Mo Si Huang’s instructions and escort them.

Su Li suddenly asked: ”Brother Hao, can I meet with Mo Si Huang alone?”

He Jiaren’s eyes widened, saying disdainfully: ”You? Why you?”

”Because I know him.”

He Jiaren exchanged a glance with Ling Chenyu, then burst into laughter.

”You know Mo Si Huang? You’re bluffing!”

If she really knew him, why didn’t Mo Si Huang’s expression change at all earlier?

He Jiaren mockingly said: ”Some people, they’re not afraid of bragging till it bursts out.”

The next instant, Brother Hao said: ”Alright, Miss Su, please follow me.”
