Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Lin Moyu entered the city, strolling among the ordinary people.

He was still dressed in the attire from the small world, a style that stood out completely from the clothing worn in the greater world.

Yet no one paid him any special attention. The people here seemed long accustomed to seeing Transcendent Gods.

Many ordinary people even aspired to become Transcendent Gods themselves, hoping to cast off their ordinary status.

Although access to information in the greater world remained somewhat restricted, anything meant to be public was freely available.

The city possessed every facility one could expect—schools, libraries, marketplaces, and more.

Ordinary people could receive an education, find employment, and earn points to support themselves.

What intrigued Lin Moyu most was that, despite being unable to connect directly to the Human Emperor Network, ordinary people still used points as currency.

Through specialized devices, they could access the network to deposit and withdraw points.

While they couldn’t enter the network with their consciousness as Transcendent Gods did, the system was more than sufficient for everyday life.

The Human Emperor Network was truly omnipresent. Rather than excluding anyone, it simply assigned different levels of authority. Each level granted access to different functions and information.

Immersed in the city’s lively atmosphere, Lin Moyu entered a teahouse.

He asked for a private room and ordered the finest tea on the menu, which only cost 1 point.

Sipping his tea at a leisurely pace, Lin Moyu began reviewing the information he had purchased.

In addition to the documents he’d spent points on, he carefully browsed every piece of publicly available information.

Cup after cup, he remained seated in the teahouse, his consciousness linked to the Human Emperor Network as he sorted through the information.

The sun rose and set, and then rose again.

Lin Moyu spent two full days and nights in the teahouse.

During that time, he ordered one additional pot of tea, spending another point.

To ordinary people, however, even 1 point represented a considerable amount of money.

After two days of study, Lin Moyu finally gained a broad understanding of the greater world.

The confusion he had felt upon arriving had all but disappeared.

His mind settled completely.

There was no longer any need to rush.

Now that he had arrived in the greater world and joined the human race, he would simply follow its rules and advance one step at a time.

His entire body seemed to grow lighter.

”The greater world is far more complex than I imagined.”

”It’s not merely divided into different tiers—the hierarchy is exceptionally rigid.”

”There are four great starfields: the Vermilion Bird, Black Turtle, Green Dragon, and White Tiger Starfields. Each contains its own clearly defined hierarchy of star systems.”

”Even the numbering of star systems follows strict rules.”

”The closer a star system lies to the center of its starfield, the richer its cultivation resources, the clearer its laws, and the higher its rank.”

”The Vermilion Bird Star System No. 98, where I am now, is considered only a low-level star system.”

Across the four great starfields, Star Systems No. 1 through No. 10 were classified as high-level. No. 11 through No. 50 were mid-level, while those numbered No. 51 through No. 1,000 belonged to the low-level category.

Any star system numbered above No. 1,000 did not even qualify as low-level.

Cultivation resources in such places were desperately scarce, making it extraordinarily difficult to reach the Transcendent God realm.

Without exceptional talent and extraordinary fortune, achieving that realm was little more than a fantasy.

The same held true not only for those unranked star systems, but also for the small worlds.

Consequently, anyone who managed to cultivate to the Transcendent God realm within a small world was regarded as a rare prodigy—a golden phoenix rising from a humble ditch.

Yet no one could say whether that golden phoenix would ultimately soar into the heavens or fall midway through its journey.

Whether they could even adapt to life in the greater world remained unknown.

No one could predict the outcome. They could only take things one step at a time.

From everything he had learned, however, Lin Moyu could tell that the upper echelons of the human race were desperately in need of top-tier powerhouses.

After reading through all the documents, Lin Moyu finally gained a genuine understanding of the human race.

It was a race that had survived the collapse of its civilization, narrowly escaped extinction, and rebuilt itself from the ruins.

That was no easy accomplishment.

A sense of clarity settled in Lin Moyu’s heart.

He now knew what path he needed to walk.

His personal aspirations aligned perfectly with the needs of the human race.

There was no conflict between the two.

Setting down his teacup, Lin Moyu turned his gaze towards the bustling streets outside the teahouse.

People flowed endlessly through the streets, including many young men and women.

Dressed in the traditional robes of the human race, they created a harmonious scene.

Each of them radiated the vitality of youth.

Lin Moyu couldn’t help but reflect. By the time he was twenty, he had already been clearing dungeons, fighting Demons on battlefields, and venturing through one secret realm after another...

The humans of the greater world lived under remarkable protection.

Leaving the teahouse, Lin Moyu departed the city and returned to the district reserved exclusively for cultivators.

Ordinary people never entered this area.

Apart from the staff, everyone here was a cultivator, each at least at the Transcendent God realm.

As he walked, Lin Moyu contemplated the power of faith.

The information he had gathered only covered its most basic applications: enhancing law comprehension, improving soul grade, elevating soul rank, and even amplifying the might of law arts.

However, none of the records explained how these were actually accomplished.

As one of the human race’s most fundamental powers, the power of faith remained an exceptionally profound force.

Even Transcendent Gods could scarcely come into contact with it, while among True Gods, those capable of wielding it were exceedingly rare.

According to the records, anyone wishing to truly comprehend the power of faith would most likely have to travel to God City.

The remaining subject was equipment forging.

The various forging techniques could generally be divided into two major categories: law forging and soul forging.

Law forging encompassed numerous specialized methods, including fire forging, water forging, wind forging, and many others.

The entire process was intricate, diverse, and extraordinarily complex.

Soul forging, by comparison, was far more straightforward. It relied solely on using soul force to forge equipment.

Its greatest requirement was possessing an exceptionally powerful soul, and that happened to be Lin Moyu’s greatest strength.

As such, soul forging was unquestionably the method best suited to him.

He had already used soul forging to refine the Coffin of Slumber. Throughout the month-long refinement process, his soul force had never once shown signs of depletion.

Lin Moyu reviewed the methods for refining soul armor.

Although several techniques could be used, soul forging remained the most effective.

After all, since soul armor was designed specifically for the soul, refining it with soul force naturally produced the finest results.

There were also numerous materials suitable for refining soul armor.

The higher the grade of the material, the stronger the finished product.

Coincidentally, Lin Moyu possessed exactly what he needed: Starfire Metal Essence.

Starfire Metal Essence was a True God-grade material. If forged into soul armor, it could greatly enhance the soul’s defensive capabilities.

Combined with Lin Moyu’s soul grade, it would be enough to withstand even a soul attack launched by a God King.

No matter what he did, survival always came first.

Lin Moyu arrived at the Forging Centre, where numerous large forging chambers were available.

Whatever forging environment a cultivator required, it could be found here.

Forging equipment within these specialized chambers significantly improved the chances of success.

Naturally, the cost was equally impressive.

A rental fee of 10 points per day alone was enough to discourage many cultivators.
