Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Level 2 authority didn’t grant access to many materials.

Some of the available materials also came with astonishing shipping fees.

For example, Lin Moyu found a material called Black Turtle Stone, priced at 1 point per piece.

Each piece weighed 10 catties, yet the shipping fee alone was 10 points—ten times the material’s actual cost.

Only after reading the details did he understand why.

The Black Turtle Stone wasn’t sourced from a nearby star system, or even the Vermilion Bird Starfield. It originated in the Black Turtle Starfield.

Transporting materials across starfields through teleportation consumed an enormous amount of energy, making the hefty shipping fee perfectly reasonable.

Lin Moyu found nothing strange about it.

Everything came at a cost. The Trading Center wasn’t a charity, nor would it operate at a loss.

After browsing the materials for a while, he found nothing he currently needed.

The truth was, he didn’t even know what he needed yet.

Although he had completed two missions, his understanding of the greater world remained shallow.

Everything he had experienced so far was merely the tip of the iceberg.

Leaving the materials section, Lin Moyu moved on to treasures and pills.

After a brief look, he quickly lost interest.

The problem lay with his level 2 authority. His authority was simply too low, leaving only a small selection available for purchase.

Whether treasures or pills, everything on offer was intended for Transcendent God realm cultivators—items that held no appeal for him.

”Information...” Lin Moyu murmured to himself as he opened the final category, curious about what it contained.

Within the Human Emperor Network, most information was freely accessible as long as it matched one’s authority level.

The Trading Center, however, was different.

Here, knowledge had a price.

[How to Use Star Force to Increase Cultivation Speed]

[The Ten Major Applications of the Human Race’s Power of Faith]

[An Analysis of Hidden Weaknesses Across the Various Races]

…

None of the documents were cheap, costing anywhere from 10 to 100 points each.

Moreover, purchased documents were strictly for personal use. Sharing them with others was prohibited.

A single document could be sold to countless buyers, generating an enormous amount of points.

Compared to the painstaking process of completing missions, gathering materials, or clearing secret realms, selling knowledge was vastly more profitable.

Only then did Lin Moyu truly appreciate that knowledge was priceless.

He selected several documents from the catalogue:

[An Overview of the Human Race—10 points]

[Secret Method for Refining Soul Armor—30 points]

[Various Uses of the Power of Faith—20 points]

With a wave of his hand, he spent 200 points to purchase ten documents.

Some covered general knowledge about the human race, while others explored subjects that particularly interested him.

Among them, Secret Method for Refining Soul Armor and Various Uses of the Power of Faith attracted his attention the most.

According to the description, soul armor was an exceptionally practical technique for protecting the soul.

It could resist attacks targeting the soul while greatly enhancing the soul’s defences.

The soul was the foundation of all existence.

Even the slightest improvement to its defense was worthwhile.

As for the power of faith, Lin Moyu was eager to learn more about it for a while now.

Even after entering the greater world, the power of faith continued to function without the slightest change.

It ignored the limitations of distance and transcended the barriers between worlds.

Once again, Lin Moyu couldn’t help but marvel at its mysterious nature.

As one of the human race’s fundamental powers, the power of faith was far more profound than he had ever imagined.

After purchasing the documents, Lin Moyu noticed a new option had appeared on his Human Emperor Network profile: My Library.

All the documents he had purchased were stored there.

Rather than examining them immediately, he turned his attention to the final option in the Trading Center: special category.

When focusing his attention on it, he found it completely empty.

He quickly realized it was because his level of authority was still too low.

With level 2 authority, his activities were limited to a sphere with a radius of only twenty light-years around his current location.

Compared to the vast greater world, it was an unimaginably tiny area.

Naturally, the things he could access were equally limited.

In other words, he was still in the beginner’s village, not yet qualified to venture into the wider world.

After browsing through everything, Lin Moyu selected the sell option.

He planned to sell all the Starfire Metal he had acquired.

More than 70,000 catties of Starfire Metal would earn him over 7,000 points.

Selling it through a market stall might fetch around 8,000 points instead.

However, that would consume far too much time.

To Lin Moyu, time was far more valuable than a few extra points.

Besides, he simply couldn’t be bothered.

He chose to bundle the Starfire Metal together and sell it directly to the Trading Center.

To his surprise, the trading platform rejected the transaction.

His consciousness returned to his body as the terminal automatically disconnected.

”Senior Lin...” A clear voice called out.

Lin Moyu turned to see a staff member standing nearby.

His name was Qiu Yan.

The young man looked energetic and handsome, appearing to be about twenty-five or twenty-six years old.

He had already reached level 92—a remarkable achievement even in the greater world.

Lin Moyu guessed he was likely a disciple from some great family, sent here in advance to gain practical experience.

Seeing that Lin Moyu remained silent, Qiu Yan spoke first, ”Senior Lin, regarding the materials you attempted to sell just now; because the transaction exceeds the trading terminal’s processing limit, it has been transferred to manual handling.”

Lin Moyu immediately understood.

More than 70,000 catties of Starfire Metal occupied a considerable amount of space.

Moreover, for a Transcendent God realm cultivator with only level 2 authority, a transaction worth over 7,000 points was already considered substantial.

Qiu Yan continued, ”Please follow me, Senior Lin. A dedicated trading room has already been prepared.”

Lin Moyu nodded, ”Lead the way.”

As they walked, he asked, ”What kinds of transactions require manual handling?”

Qiu Yan replied, ”Generally, any transaction worth more than 1,000 points may be transferred to manual processing. This is only a standard low-tier inhabited planet, so our authority is relatively limited.”

”Of course, if a senior prefers not to use the trading terminal, they may also request manual processing. That said, very few people do.”

His explanation was clear and thorough.

Before long, they arrived at a row of trading rooms.

There were exactly nine of them, numbered one through nine.

Qiu Yan led him to Trading Room No. 3.

The door was tightly sealed, making it impossible to sense whether anyone was inside.

”The trading specialist is already waiting for you.” Qiu Yan said, ”Please go in, Senior Lin.”

Lin Moyu nodded and walked forward.

As he approached, the door slid open automatically.

The moment he stepped inside, it closed silently behind him.

The trading room was modest in size.

A tea table occupied the center, with a man seated behind it: trading specialist.

In one corner stood a small teleportation formation.

Lin Moyu immediately understood its purpose.

Once the transaction was complete, customers could leave through the formation and be sent to an undisclosed location, ensuring complete privacy throughout the trading process.

”Greetings, Senior Lin. My name is Lin Xiaoyu, and I will be handling your transaction today.”
