The Return Of The God Level Assassin

Chapter 1265: BREAKFAST FOR TWO

LUO YAN walked down to the first floor after his quick shower. He felt refreshed and truly happy. Who would have thought that waking up and starting the day like that would leave him feeling so light and energized? It was as if he were floating, making every step feel light and his mood bright. His sleep last night was even much more peaceful than normal.

If he had known how good it felt, he would have started playing with his little junior every night and morning a long time ago. But he knew he only felt this good because he did it with Shen Ji Yun.

He was not someone who usually thought much about sex. In his past life, he had been too busy with studying and working part-time jobs for such things to even enter his mind. Even now, in this new body, those kinds of thoughts rarely occurred to him. He only ever felt that kind of desire when he was with Shen Ji Yun. It just showed how strongly he was drawn to the other man.

And he wanted to believe it was the same for Shen Ji Yun. It felt like the two of them were just meant for each other. That might sound a little cringy, but he truly believed it.

He reached the first floor and walked straight to the kitchen. The air was filled with the warm, savory smell of cooking congee and the distinct aroma of fried dough sticks. There was also a hint of soy sauce and ginger in the air. When he entered the kitchen, he saw Shen Ji Yunʼs back turned to him, busy preparing food at the stove.

Luo Yan smiled and walked over to Shen Ji Yun, wrapping his arms around him from behind.

Shen Ji Yun jumped slightly at the sudden touch before looking over his shoulder at Luo Yan. A helpless smile crossed his face. ”That could have been dangerous, Yan Yan.”

Luo Yan just grinned before letting go. ”What can I say? Seeing your broad back just made me want to hug you.”

Shen Ji Yunʼs face grew warm as he looked at Luo Yan. Memories of what they had done last night and again this morning flashed through his mind. That was why he quickly turned his gaze away, worried that looking any longer would only make his blush worse.

Seeing this, Luo Yan raised an eyebrow. Knowing Shen Ji Yun, he must be remembering what they had done and was now feeling awkward and embarrassed. A small, knowing smile curved Luo Yanʼs lips. He found his boyfriendʼs shyness endlessly charming.

”Whatʼs on your mind, Brother Ji Yun?” Luo Yan asked, his voice soft and full of amusement. ”You look a little flustered.”

Shen Ji Yun felt his face grow even warmer. But when he saw the playful look on Luo Yanʼs face, he felt a sudden urge to tease him back. Before he lost his nerve, he leaned close to Luo Yan and whispered into his ear.

”Iʼm imagining you naked, offering your cherry-like nipples for me to lick and bite.”

This time, it was Luo Yanʼs turn to blush. Satisfied with the reaction, Shen Ji Yun hid a small smile and gently pinched the otherʼs cheek.

”Go sit down. Iʼll be done here soon.”

Luo Yan, still feeling a bit warm, sat down on one of the stools at the kitchen counter. Since it was just the two of them eating, it made sense to have breakfast there instead of setting the dining table.

Shen Ji Yun finished cooking and brought the food to the counter. He set down a large bowl of warm congee and a plate of golden fried dough sticks. He returned to get two spoons for the congee and two cups of warm soy milk. After placing everything on the counter, he sat down next to Luo Yan.

Luo Yan studied the dishes in front of him. The congee was steaming hot, with small pieces of chicken and chopped green onions visible on top. The fried dough sticks looked crispy and golden. A gentle steam rose from the cups of soy milk. Everything seemed so delicious. He could not wait to eat.

He picked up his spoon and took a mouthful of the congee. It was warm and smooth with a gentle savory flavor from the chicken. He then broke off a piece of the fried dough stick. It was crispy on the outside and soft inside, perfect for dipping into the congee. He took a sip of the soy milk, which was slightly sweet and warm. Each bite was simply delicious.

He turned to Shen Ji Yun. ”Brother Ji Yun, your cooking is truly the best.”

Shen Ji Yun smiled gently. ”Iʼm happy you enjoy it.”

”Waking up together and eating like this, it feels like we are newlyweds,” Luo Yan said with a smile. ”Do you think this is how we will be after we get married?”

Shen Ji Yun, who had just taken a spoonful of congee, nearly choked at Luo Yanʼs words. He quickly poured himself a glass of water and drank it down. He looked at Luo Yan and saw that the other was still eating cheerfully. It seemed Luo Yan had said it without much thought. But it showed that the other had been considering their future together, including the possibility of marriage.

The thought made his heart beat faster. Marriage. How wonderful it would be if they could really do that. He was already imagining what their married life would be like. Then he realized, why couldnʼt they get married? They could simply go to another country where same-sex marriage was legal and have their wedding there. With that idea, countless images of him and Luo Yan together as a married couple flashed through his mind.

By the time they finished breakfast, Shen Ji Yun had already imagined their entire future together. He pictured them traveling to different countries, adopting a pet, maybe even a child if they were so lucky, celebrating holidays with both their families, and growing old side by side. He saw lazy Sunday mornings in bed and quiet evenings reading together.

How wonderful it would be if that future actually came true.
