Chapter 1019 JI YUNʼS BIRTHDAY (IV)

1019  JI YUNʼS BIRTHDAY (IV)

ZHAO CHENG picked a huge chicken leg and bit it without caring for his image. Aside from the fact that he really didnʼt care, the people here wouldnʼt really judge him, no matter how bad his table manner was.

”Ah Cheng, do you want a drink? Tea or soda?”

Zhao Cheng turned to the person who had just spoke. The other still had that gentle kind of handsomeness that he remembered from years back. Especially since the other seemed to hardly age at all. Now standing side by side with him, who would believe that the other was actually the older one between them?

”Itʼs fine, Brother Yue. Iʼll just get it later,” he said, his voice a bit muffled by chewing the chicken leg heʼs eating.

Jiang Yue chuckled. He was glad that Zhao Cheng was still the same, still a very ʼmy paceʼ kind of guy. It made him think that nothing had really changed. But then he remembered Yuan Xing and was reminded that there were things that did change.

When he left, Zhao Cheng and Yuan Xing were still together. But when he returned, the two had already separated. And not in a very amiable manner. Thatʼs what he found out when he unexpectedly met Yuan Xing at Guizhu Academy.

He had wondered if he should tell Zhao Cheng about Yuan Xingʼs whereabouts. Especially after he and Brother Mu had gotten back tomorrow. But then he thought against it, since itʼs not exactly his place to do that. Itʼs Yuan Xing. As long as the other hadnʼt decided to meet Zhao Cheng himself, then he couldnʼt really say anything.

Zhao Cheng, who had no idea what Jiang Yue was thinking at that moment, continued to nibble on the chicken leg heʼs eating. He looked at the young people playing at the arcade machines. Particularly at the kid wearing rabbit ears.

He knew about this kid way before because of how the other luckily became a moon elf when he first played the game. It was a newly created race at that time, so their department monitored his activities at the start. Not just him, but also other players who had newly created races.

At that time, he had never thought that the kid would end up being part of team Yunyue. The same thing could be said for the chaos gnome kid, who actually turned out to be quite tall. He thought as he gave a quick glance to the tall kid playing with the only girl here.

But the most surprising thing of all was Ji Yun being in a romantic relationship with the Luo Yan kid. How did he know about it? Itʼs not that Ji Yun told him about it himself, he just noticed. Just today, in fact. Itʼs really not that hard, considering that the two were not exactly hiding it.

From how Luo Yan led this surprise birthday party, even wearing those rabbit ears, to how touchy-feely the two had been since. Look, the two were almost hugging each other right now. The way they looked at each other was also a good indication of how they felt about each other.

Itʼs like he was looking at himself in the mirror. At least the him who was staring at Ah Xing. He shook his head and just finished eating his chicken leg. He didnʼt really want to think of... him at this moment.

Zhao Cheng looked again at the two lovebirds. Shen Ji Yun had his arm around Luo Yanʼs shoulders, while the latter was leaning on Shen Ji Yun.

Ah, to be young and in love.

For some reason, a twinge of envy suddenly hit him in the chest at the sight of the two.

---------

After playing all morning, they just ate lunch, and continued on until afternoon. Then the guests left one by one. Except Luo Yan. Which Luo Jin was not very happy about. But couldnʼt really do anything about at the end.

Luo Yan was able to stay longer because, when he asked for permission to stay overnight, he told his aunt and uncle that he might return the night after. With his impeccable acting skill and convincing power, the two agreed. Of course, them knowing Shen Ji Yun and his uncle also helped.

Because of this, he could prepare for another surprise for Shen Ji Yun.

And this one, he definitely saved the best for last.

”Brother Ji Yun, letʼs go. Letʼs eat dinner out,” he said, as he hugged the otherʼs arm.

The corner of Shen Ji Yunʼs lips tilted upwards. ”Is this still part of the surprise?”

”Yes,” Luo Yan didnʼt deny it. ”I already asked Uncle Yi Mu for permission. So we can just go right after you change your clothes.”

After hearing that, Shen Ji Yun didnʼt waste time and went to his room to wear something appropriate for a date. Because this was exactly what it was, a date. He was feeling both excited and curious. But at the core of it all, he was simply happy.

He was happy that he could spend almost the entirety of this day with Luo Yan.

Shen Ji Yun picked something that was casual but still looked fashionable. Then he also fixed his hair and used a bit of pomade to style it. Then, finally, he sprayed a bit of the perfume that Bai Ze gave him.

He only went down once heʼs satisfied with his reflection in the mirror.

He was in the middle of climbing down the stairs when he almost missed his steps. It was because his gaze landed on a figure standing near the door.

Luo Yan was wearing a dark blue winter clothes over light purple parka, paired with slim fit jeans and a pair of stylish boots. If that was all, he wouldnʼt react this violently.

It was because Luo Yanʼs short hair had now suddenly reached his waist. Adding more feminity to his already pretty face.

Luo Yan turned to him and a smiled bloomed on the otherʼs face. Shen Ji Yunʼs heart skipped a beat. Just with that, he felt that he was once again hit by cupidʼs arrow.
