The Return Of The God Level Assassin

WHEN Luo Yan opened his eyes, what he first saw was a bunch of white flowers. He couldnʼt be anymore familiar with these flowers. These were the ones scattered all around the Origin Village.Seeing the garden they were in and the flat rock with a circular symbol they were standing in, he knew they were at the back garden located behind the Elderʼs yurt. So, heʼs definitely back at the moon elvesʼ Origin Village.

He turned to the person beside him and noticed that Shen Ji Yun was looking around. Then his gaze focused on the huge moon on the night sky.It seemed that one could easily catch it if they just raised their hands.

”Itʼs always night time in this place,” he said because Shen Ji Yun looked like he was wondering why it suddenly turned dark when itʼs obviously just early afternoon when they left the floating island.”Probably because moon elves live here thatʼs why itʼs a prerequisite that the moon should always be seen. The way Moonlight Mediaʼs programmers think was really quite unique.”

”Itʼs probably Brother Zhaoʼs idea,” Shen Ji Yun said.

”Brother Zhao?”

”Heʼs the head of the programming department.Heʼs kind of an eccentric guy who doesnʼt easily conform to society.”

And for the past year, he also became kind of sloppy.Itʼs like the words ʼbathingʼ and ʼcleaning upʼ were completely wiped off from his vocabulary.Shen Ji Yun still wondered why that was the case though. His uncle only told him that it was because Brother Zhaoʼs wife ran away from home.Which was a bit weird since, as far as he knew, Brother Zhao was still unmarried.

But if that was really the case, then he could understand. He glanced at Luo Yan.If his rabbit also ran away from him, he might not only become an unhygienic mess, he probably also wouldnʼt be able to function properly.

Shen Ji Yun looked down at their hands that were still connected together. The soft touch of Luo Yanʼs palm and the warmth that travelled from his hand straight to his heart, made it even more unbearable for him to let go.Thatʼs why he hadnʼt said anything about it.So, he could hold his hand a little bit longer.

”Isnʼt that the case for most geniuses?” Luo Yan commented, talking about the head programmer Shen Ji Yun mentioned.”Anyway, shall we go?”

Shen Ji Yun nodded.

Luo Yan was about to walk when he finally noticed that he was still holding Shen Ji Yunʼs hand.He quickly let go.”Sorry, I forgot to let go of your hand.”

Disappointment and loss briefly flashed in Shen Ji Yunʼs eyes but he quickly covered it up.”Itʼs okay.”

[Mashter, Captain is totally disappointed that you let go of his hand.] – Eclipse commented on the side.

Luo Yan glanced sideways at his pet who was currently sitting prettily on his shoulder.[Stop making trouble.]

But he couldnʼt exactly deny what the little fox said.Because he also saw the disappointment in Shen Ji Yunʼs eyes.Although he managed to hide it pretty quickly. He turned and looked at the guy with barely any expression on his face.Seriously, who would have thought that this guy was actually quite the clingy one.Not that he hated it though.

They walked out of the garden, passing-by the Elderʼs yurt.Luo Yan was thinking if he should say ʼhelloʼ to the Elder first but he changed his mind.Itʼs not as if heʼs a real moon elf and the other was really his village elder.

When they finally passed by the yurt, Luo Yan saw the familiar village. The tall and lush trees, the vines with white flowers, the floating lights, and the simple cottages. The magical feeling he felt when he first went out of his own hut was still there.

[Wow, this place is so pretty, Mashter! Is there where you were born?] – Eclipse asked while looking around.

[In a way, yes.Anyway, the place where I found you is near here.]

[Really?Eclipse want to go there now!] – the little fox said excitedly.

Luo Yan rumpled Eclipseʼs furry head.[Be patient.]

”This is a well-designed place,” Shen Ji Yun commented while also looking around.

”I think so too,” Luo Yan agreed.

As they walked towards the gate, many moon elves that they passed-by greeted Luo Yan.Asking him while he was back so soon and what were the things he learned while he was away. When he was about to answer them, their focus would suddenly turn to Shen Ji Yun.And then, he would be suddenly forgotten.

”A Qilin! This is the first time I saw one.”

”Are you a friend of Noctis?Heʼs truly blessed to have a friend such as you!”

”What business could an exalted one such as yourself have in our humble village?”

”We should tell this to the Elder!”

Luo Yans face was slowly filled with black lines when such a scene continued to happen. Were these NPCs programmed to have fanboy or fangirl attitude when someone with a Legendary race appeared before them?In his annoyance, he pulled Shen Ji Yun away from this group and hastened his pace towards the gate.

Shen Ji Yun glanced down at their hands that was once again connected and he couldnʼt help but smile.

[Mashter, Captain is smiling!Heʼs probably happy that the two of you are holding hands again.]

Luo Yanʼs face had even more black lines when he heard that.He ignored Eclipseʼs little commentary. And when they reached the gate, he immediately let go of Shen Ji Yunʼs hand.

[Aww… Mashter, Captain is sad again.Mashter should really just hold Captainʼs hand.]

[Eclipse, if you donʼt shut up right now, Iʼll turn you into a squeezed ball.] – he said, smiling sweetly at his pet.

Eclipse shuddered but still said, [T-thatʼs domestic violence, Mashter! You canʼt do that to Eclipse.]

Luo Yanʼs lips twitched when he heard such nonsense and chose to just ignore this little thing on his shoulder.
