Wilderness

Jeremy Night is watching the battle silently. Then he sees that the Tier-6 Worm Beast is getting frustrated. It reminds him of the same scene.

The beast had suffered multiple wounds. Like he had expected, the beast released the coercion of Tier-6.

Boom!

The pressure caught the other lifeline beasts off guard. They fell backward. All the lifeline beasts were down to the ground.

The Beast Tamers who were standing at a safe distance were terrified. They were afraid that the worm beast would target them.

They are commanding the lifeline beasts to get up.

Swoosh!

The Tier-6 Worm Beast set its gaze on the humans. It moved toward them with fast speed.

The speed was so fast that it reached them before they could turn around to flee.

Seeing that, Jeremy Night was shocked. He moved his body forward to help them. But he saw a terrifying scene unfold the next second.

Pfff!

The massive body of the beast fell on three beast tamers. They were crushed directly under the massive body.

The remaining two were thrown away by the impact force. They crashed into the ground.

Screech!

At the same time, the three lifeline beasts wailed before losing their lives. Jeremy Night’s eyes flashed with a glint.

He knew what happened. It was contract backlash. The contractor dies. The mental zone was destroyed. The lifeline beast which was receiving the support died as well.

He doesn’t know much about the contracts. It was developed by pioneers. He doesn’t know whether there is a way to set the lifeline beasts free once a Beast Tamer dies.

Because it was a tragedy. Already their numbers were fewer than the Corrupted beasts. If they lost fighting lifeline beasts just like this, it would be a really huge loss.

The remaining two tried to flee. But they were killed by the massive body of the worm beast. Their lifeline beasts died as well.

All ten lives were killed by the Tier-6 beast. The worm beast didn’t go anywhere. It stayed there.

Jeremy Night walked out of the bushes. He goes closer toward the scene. He unsheathed the blade. He added the starlight power to the blade’s edge.

Facing a Tier-6 Worm Beast, he needed to be careful. On the other hand, the worm beast sensed another human.

It turned its massive body again. It saw a weak human without a lifeline beast. The beast didn’t feel any threat. But still, the beast hated humans.

Because of them, it was injured to this extent.

Swoosh!

The Tier-6 Worm Beast charged at the weak human.

Jeremy was already ready. He began to calculate the distance. The coercion from the Tier-6 Beast was bringing a crisis as well.

His senses kicked in. All of a sudden, he felt clear-headed. His awareness increased. He became enlightened that this was the inspiration he needed.

Next, he adapted to the situation. He moved forward.

Swoosh!

At the same time, the massive body of the Tier-6 beast reached him. He side-stepped effortlessly before attacking the beast.

Cut!

The blade moves fast. It split open the flesh. Jeremy followed the inspiration. He withdrew the blade before swinging it at the beast again.

Slash!

The blade strike came fast before going through the flesh of the beast again. The flesh layers were cut open, creating a massive gash.

Slash!

He didn’t stop there. As time passed, his blade moved faster. It came like a lightning strike. The speed was faster than before.

Not only could he calculate with more speed, but his eyes also gathered more details and processed them immediately.

By using the information, he adapted to the environment before the beast could move its body toward him.

Thud!

His brain gathered the information. His blade attacks increased further. From drawing the blade to landing a strike on the body, the time interval was reduced.

Jeremy’s heart rose with excitement. His blade skill had entered the advanced stage. It was no time to relax. He should increase the following attacks.

Swoosh!

The next second, he jumped high. He landed on the beast. He used the blade to stab the beast.

Next, he used the blade to climb to the top of the beast. In a few steps, he reached the top of the worm beast’s body.

He sees the ground. It’s almost 15 ft in height from the ground. He didn’t wait and attacked the beast.

Boom!

The Tier-6 Beast used its movement ability. It goes into the dense vegetation. It razes down everything in its way.

It wanted the human on its back to be gone. So its body kept colliding with massive trees and boulders.

Pfff!

Jeremy Night’s blade was stabbed into the flesh. He is using the blade handle for grip. He didn’t expect the beast to take this route.

When a boulder was about to hit him, he used the Star Fist. The rock exploded into pieces.

Jeremy then gripped the handle tightly.

As time passed, he sensed the beast was getting tired. It’s because the bleeding is a lot. Even the worm beast won’t survive if there’s nothing left in its body.

After going through the dense forest for half an hour, the beast gave up. Its vitality is ending faster.

The Tier-6 Worm Beast sensed death. Finally, it started digging up. But before the beast could disappear into the ground.

The Tier-6 Worm Beast lost its life. Its corpse fell down to the ground. Finally, the beast died.

Thud!

Jeremy then landed on the ground. He had a wide smile on his face. His blade skill had entered the advanced stage.

Even without starlight power and techniques, he can cause injury to the beast. He then looks around and finds a small rock to sit down on.

He sits on the rock. He heaved a sigh of relief.

Then he used the inner healing method. The natural energy from the surroundings entered his body. He didn’t suffer any serious injuries.

But he felt his arms were tired. Because he didn’t know how many strikes he used on the beast. He lost count.

But it must be more than 50. Each strike caused a massive gash. Then he sheathed the blade and began to recover.
