City Gate

Martin and Orion saw the expression of everyone. It must be shocking to them. Both of them didn’t want the information to reach others.

But the situation is different right now. They had to find the Tier-9 Beast.

”Alright, don’t think too much about it. It’s just an investigation mission. Try to find as much of a clue as possible.”

”If anyone provides a good clue, the person will be rewarded. In fact, there is a reward for everyone who gets clues. Those who get a better clue will get a better reward,” Martin said all of a sudden.

Quiet!

Hearing that, there was pin-drop silence. They didn’t expect the governors to give rewards. Then, they forgot about the dangers.

Jeremy Night heard about the reward as well. But he knew the terror of Tier-7 and above beasts. Their coercion alone can turn them into mincemeat.

A few minutes later,

The gates were opened. The beast tamers entered the wilderness. In the blink of an eye, everyone left.

Martin and Orion watched them leave.

”What do you think?”

”Would they find any resources?” Orion asked.

He had been supportive of Martin’s decisions. But he didn’t have that much belief.

”I have told them that there will be rewards. I just hope one of them has the courage to use their talent to find some clues,” Martin said in a serious tone.

To be honest, he thought that most of them would return. Since he had mentioned the Tier-9 Beast, they won’t be reckless enough to go to the border.

So, he was betting on their beast taming talent.

Swoosh!

Then, both of them left the place.

...

Wilderness

Jeremy Night was going in a random direction. All other Beast Tamers went in random directions.

Fortunately, it was not a team mission. He could do things on his own.

He wanted to test the strength of his new starlight thread. He lacked the opportunity before. Now that he was in the wilderness, he would use it against the corrupted beasts.

Jeremy was walking towards the deeper area. There were no other Beast Tamers around him. He was using his eye power to scan the surroundings.

He didn’t want a Tier-6 or above beast to appear all of a sudden.

Hiss!

It didn’t take long for him to come across corrupted beasts. It was a low-Tier beast—a Tier-3 Green Snake.

He glanced at the beast and ignored it. His aim was to target Tier-4 and Tier-5 beasts. He didn’t attack the beast.

The Governors asked them to find clues. But he had still not made any decision. Yet, the rewards spoken of by the governors intrigued him.

He didn’t know what the reward would be.

Jeremy immediately thought of his lifeline beast. If his lifeline beast could get precious resources, it would be good.

If not, he could get a good breathing method for himself. He was currently using the inner healing method. It’s a common one. He had not changed his breathing method yet.

Head Harold had already promised him to look out for a suitable breathing method for him. But after that, a series of incidents happened.

He didn’t have the opportunity to ask him about it.

Jeremy was contemplating. He thought it was a good opportunity to get into the good side of the governors.

Initially, he had no chance to enter the top three zones. But if he truly got some clues, then he believed he could enter the top three zones with a governor’s recommendation.

Not only that, but he could get a good breathing method. His eyes flickered. He got selected because of the Supreme Combat Body. Then Head Harold wanted him to go.

But he didn’t know about his true ability. He could use his eye power to find some clues. Then, he collected his thoughts and went deeper.

Roar!

His eye power caught the silhouette of a Red Tiger an hour later. The Red Tiger, with a majestic posture, was looking at him.

He had entered the territory of the Red Tiger. He tried to probe the strength of the Red Tiger. He then realized the strength of the Red Tiger was Tier-5.

Right now, the beast was enraged. Its eyes were filled with bloodthirst. It wanted to kill the prey trespassing its territory.

Roar!

The Red Tiger corrupted beast let out a roar. Its body was covered in crimson energy all of a sudden. The next second, the beast charged at the human target.

Jeremy didn’t unsheather the katana blade. Instead, he was planning to use the starlight thread. Next, he controlled the starlight power.

In the blink of an eye, his index finger was wrapped with the starlight thread. The thread is thin and quite flexible.

Swoosh!

When the massive beast, over 4 meters in size, appeared, Jeremy remained calm. He used his second eye power. The beast’s internals became transparent.

”Explosive Steps!”

At the last second, he used the movement method. The force generated from his feet, and he side-stepped to avoid the attack.

Boom!

The beast missed the target. The massive claw struck the empty air. The beast’s body moved past before landing on the ground.

The impact created a huge noise.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night’s eyes flickered. He was about to use the starlight thread earlier. But he found that the beast’s speed was faster than he had imagined.

He looked at the beast. The crimson energy covering the beast’s body caught his eyes.

Jeremy frowned. He thought the crimson energy was aiding the beast. It could be a beast talent.

His expression became serious. He decided to act faster.

Roar!

The Red Tiger was further enraged. The crimson energy thickened around the beast’s body. The next moment, the beast charged again.

Swoosh!

Jeremy used the same movement again. This time, the beast slowed down a little bit to strike the target.

When the claw was about to land on him, he moved away from the spot. The next second, he raised his index finger and slashed at the beast.

Slash!

The starlight thread extended over 20 inches like a blade and cut through the side of the beast’s body. It happened in a flash.

Jeremy Night came out on the other side and saw the red line on the side of the beast’s body.

Pfff!

A torrent of blood gushed forth from the wound.
