The Game of a Legendary Genius Dark Mage

Just as the sound of impact rang out and Luna was about to be slammed into the wall—

She twisted her posture in midair, turned her feet toward the wall as if to land instead of crash, and the moment her feet touched the surface, she kicked off the wall with both legs.

Kwooooooooong.

Forcing the power of Destruction to flow into the wall as she kicked off, the wall was completely obliterated and collapsed.

Luna ignored the flying debris, shot out like a bullet, and once again thrust her fist forward, launching an attack at the Destruction Lord.

He hadn’t expected Luna to rebound so quickly and briefly left an opening, but even with that opening, it was as if Luna’s movements didn’t matter—he tilted his head back and lifted his leg, aiming to send a kick straight into Luna’s stomach as she flew in.

But the moment he tried to raise his leg, thick, sticky blood appeared and halted the Destruction Lord’s movement for an instant, and in that gap Luna brushed past him.

It was just a scratch, but there was a wound, and as he looked at it and severed the blood restraining him, lightning fell from the sky in that brief opening.

Kkajijijijijik———!!!

The thunderbolt that crashed down like a single spear was carrying a spear of light inside it, and together with the lightning, the spear of light pierced into the Destruction Lord’s shoulder-blade area—but the depth of the blade was barely even the length of a finger joint.

Even though it was a spear of light that had fallen together with the thunder—

They had only managed that much of an injury, and everyone trembled.

In that moment, Longfeng, who had stacked up his failure count, flew in with a shadowy wind—

But the Destruction Lord’s fist swept out, and the storm of shadows cracked and shattered in an instant, exposing Longfeng, who had been hiding within.

To survive, Longfeng chose not to stack any more failures and launched an attack toward the Destruction Lord’s driving fist.

But the Destruction Lord’s fist did not stop for even a moment, shattered Longfeng’s attack to pieces, and roared straight toward Longfeng.

Realizing that getting hit would mean being reduced to fragments, Longfeng tried everything he could to dodge, and at that moment Kim Che-geon appeared and kicked Longfeng away, letting the Destruction Lord’s fist slice through empty air.

Kim Che-geon swung his sword at the Destruction Lord’s arm as it cut through the air—however, the arm, saturated from head to toe in destructive energy, didn’t even react to the sword strike.

Chyaeeeeeeeeeng———!!!

A sharp metallic screech rang out, and Kim Che-geon’s expression twisted.

At the very least, he’d thought he’d leave a scratch.

Feeling as if he’d swung at a chunk of metal, that stinging vibration running through his grip, Kim Che-geon muttered:

“My humble blade...”

“Move!”

The Destruction Lord flicked Kim Che-geon’s sword away, turned his body, and used that rotation as an axis to launch a kick.

The power of that kick looked like it wouldn’t just shatter you, but grind you to powder.

So Usagi from Embris’s team raised a wall of blood, Menma tried to bind the Destruction Lord’s body with thick, sticky blood, and Chako used blood to yank Kim Che-geon out of the way so he could evade on the spot.

But all the blood that touched the Destruction Lord’s body exploded, unable to hold him for even an instant, and just as the kick was about to fly toward Kim Che-geon—

Hwa-Wol stepped in, snatching Kim Che-geon away along with the blood, and at the same time raised her bow, nocked an arrow, and fired it at the Destruction Lord.

Boooooooom———!!!

A massive explosion went off, and the recoil pushed Hwa-Wol and Kim Che-geon backward. At the same time, Elzahar’s ice attack swept toward the Destruction Lord, but it was not enough.

Watching as the sound of shattering filled the air and even the black explosion cloud itself was destroyed and erased made despair blossom in their chests.

It hadn’t taken long to get this far.

Everyone had moved at once and launched attacks all together.

Yet the only marks on that body were the scratch Luna had made and the spots where Kyou and Mayrin’s spears had pierced.

There was, at least, one hopeful thing.

“...His regeneration doesn’t seem that impressive.”

Everyone agreed with Luna’s words.

The injuries Luna had made and the areas pierced by the spears were still leaking blue blood, as if his regeneration wasn’t especially strong.

The Destruction Lord also scratched at his neck as he looked at that.

Were the humans stronger than he’d expected?

At the unexpected result, the Destruction Lord charged in again, and Luna, who could at least trade blows in close combat, went out to block him once more.

Of course, this time she wrapped herself in blood together with Embris and launched her attack toward the Destruction Lord.

“Ahhh, a combination technique from Lady Luna and Lady Embris! But as long as the Destruction Lord is cloaked in the power of Destruction, even landing a proper hit looks difficult!!!”

Just as Mihael said, the power of Destruction shattered and destroyed even the incoming attacks.

Even if they did attack, it was hard to deal full damage.

The viewers, too, could not help but be appalled at that outrageous Destruction Lord.

They’d seen many videos up to now, but they had never seen a boss like this in their lives.

A boss that strong using nothing but raw aura, with no skills or attack techniques.

There was a reason he had “Lord” attached to his name.

-Why is a boss... this strong???

-He’s basically ranker-tier, no???

-At the very least he’s double-ranker tier, and one with a Lord-type class;;;

-He looks like he’s top-tier even among double rankers?????

-That means he’s at least level 300;;;

-I’d estimate around 330;;;

-And they’re fighting that when they’re only around level 275???

-That makes no sense;;;;

-The higher your level, the more insane the gap gets, and they’re somehow managing to hold that off?

The might the Destruction Lord was displaying was power you would only see from the upper ranks of double rankers at minimum.

It was impossible not to be shocked.

And then, some of the viewers started to realize the core of the issue.

If those lord-type bosses were at least high-ranking double rankers in the 330 range—

-Then what does that make the Demon King and his vassal, each taking on a Lord alone???

-??????????????

-Li????ke??????tha????t??????

-What even is this???????

-LMAO Seong, stop messing around here and go up to the higher region already lololol

-lolololol Didn’t they say he already got his passage permit???

-lolol I’m losing it, stop smurfing down here.

This was the moment the viewers finally felt the full weight of Seong’s power.

Of course, the backup teams holding their own with just twelve people against a boss like that without even hitting level 300 yet was incredible too.

And some viewers began revising their evaluations as they watched.

They had been assuming this Destruction Lord was in the 330 range.

But the strength and ferocity of his visible attacks, and his judgment, were all far beyond that.

-????? I don’t [N O V E L I G H T] think he’s in the 330s.

-It only looks that way because the backup teams are doing so well. If you really look closely, his power isn’t at that level.

-Yeah, think about it. All the map objects are getting destroyed. A long time ago, a top-10 double ranker did object-destruction tests.

-I saw that one too. He couldn’t destroy them, right?

-But didn’t rank 6 single ranker Kang Hoon do the exact same test?

-Yeah, Kang Hoon said once you hit around the 350s, lord-type skills get strong enough to destroy objects.

-??????

-So you’re saying this boss is in the 350s???

-That’s insane;;;;;;;

While people’s assessment of the Destruction Lord was shifting in real time—

Some viewers, watching the backup teams running a twelve-man raid against that same Destruction Lord, had another realization.

-Even if you bring twelve double rankers, you can’t take down a single single ranker, right...?

-Yeah...???

-Then what are those guys???

-Seriously though...

Realizing the power of both the backup teams and the Destruction Lord, the viewers could only fall silent.

In other words, they had realized that each and every member of the backup teams possessed at least double-ranker-tier skill, and that they were engaged in a fierce battle against a boss who could be called single-ranker tier.

The state of the backup teams fighting the Destruction Lord was anything but ordinary.

Luna, along with Kyou and Embris as team leaders, were doing everything they could to fight the Destruction Lord.

It hadn’t even been ten minutes.

The surroundings were completely devastated, and in the midst of that, the backup teams were merely coated in layers of dust, without any of them having sustained truly critical injuries.

The Destruction Lord was much the same.

Aside from the initial scratch and the wounds from the spears, there were no new injuries.

“Huff, huff.”

“Let’s stay focused.”

“He’s coming.”

With the three team leaders doing everything they could to block and counter all of the Destruction Lord’s attacks, it wasn’t easy for them to launch their own counterattacks.

So the team members slipped in their attacks whenever they could find an opening—but that wasn’t enough.

Their attacks couldn’t penetrate the destructive aura.

At this rate, Luna judged, even if they fought like this all day, they still wouldn’t be able to win.

She glanced around.

The three team leaders were still holding the Destruction Lord back together.

They had just a little bit of spare capacity.

In that case, it would be better to—

“Have Embris’s party members, my team members, Kyou’s team members, and me all focus on restricting his movements, and let Sir Kyou and Lady Embris handle the attacking.”

Luna spoke at length as she stood in front of the Destruction Lord, blocking his path.

To be honest, if Luna stepped back, there would be no one left who could trade blows head-on with the Destruction Lord.

No matter how Almighty-tier Kyou and Embris’s classes were, they had no means of physically stopping the Destruction Lord’s body.

But Luna, by directly using Primordial Might, could somehow hold out against the power of Destruction.

Given the current situation, this was the best possible method.

The moment Luna made her decision and shouted—

Now that she had given the order, Luna stepped up first to carry it out, and the other teams followed after her.

Luna’s movements as she did everything she could to take down the Destruction Lord were almost majestic, and at that sight, the remaining team members all pooled their strength into her, blocking the Destruction Lord.

First, all three of Embris’s party members wrapped Luna in blood.

The blood became a single layer of shielding, blocking the power of Destruction, and as that layer was peeled away from the Destruction Lord’s fist, Luna hurled her own fist straight at it.
