The Game of a Legendary Genius Dark Mage

The way the backup team charged toward the gigantic foot was so urgent that it went beyond fierce and even bordered on desperate.

Among them, the fastest was Luna, the Barbarian Lord who bore the primordial might, and as she rushed in, on full alert, she thrust out a fist filled with that gigantic power.

The gigantic foot sprang up into the air without any warning.

It was so fast that even Luna failed to grasp the movement in that instant and went up, her fist slicing through empty air.

And that fist that had extended into emptiness whipped up a massive wind pressure as it swept through, and the gigantic foot came crashing down over Luna’s head, the aura of despair tightening around in all directions.

Ruuuumble———!!!

In the insane pressure that made it feel as if the air pressure had risen hundreds of times, Luna in that brief moment realized that darkness was cutting through that pressure and slipped out of that spot. ℯℯ𝘭.

Those who had been belatedly chasing after Luna toward the Lord of Despair’s foot also backed away.

When Luna likewise quickly retreated backward, there was nothing near the Lord of Despair’s foot, and then, from midair, the Lord of Despair’s foot slammed down into the ground.

Booooom———!!!

A vast ash-gray despair spread along the ground and across the entire cavern.

Then stone-shaped golems emerged from the ground imbued with ash-gray despair, and when the backup team saw that, they quickly launched attacks at the despair golems.

About half of them were swept up in the attacks and destroyed the moment they were born, while the remaining half that had not been struck had the aura of despair condense, their bodies hardening even further as they became ash-gray despair golems and rushed at them.

And among them, three particularly gigantic golems stepped forward as if to guard the Lord of Despair’s foot.

The backup team frowned at the sight and moved quickly.

With Luna, Kyou, and Embris, who could each be called a team leader, at the forefront, the team members took down the golems blocking their leaders, and each leader was advancing toward the three golems guarding the Lord of Despair’s foot.

“Aaaah!!! Up until now, Embris’s party has the highest contribution!!!”

“Ah, I think it’s because everyone can do ranged attacks, so their coverage has been huge!”

“That’s right. This is where the role of the team leaders is important! Of the three leaders, the fastest is Luna of Luna’s team! Luna charges the guardian golem first!!!”

As Mihael and Lowell’s commentary was added on, it really turned into something like a tension-filled match.

Seong was also watching with what looked like satisfaction, but the viewers’ reactions were no joke.

-Wow, this really has my palms sweating.

-At first I thought Luna was going to retire there... 😱😱😱😱

-She barely dodged that 😂😂

-I can’t clear that despair debuff stiffness that fast. How did they do it?

-They only cleared the pressure-like part.

-Seriously, clearing that that fast is legendary.

-Exactly.

Everyone kept watching like that, with the commentary getting quite detailed, and they were watching, completely engrossed.

Expecting this, after yesterday’s stream ended, Lowell and Mihael had frantically looked up commentary lectures and commentary videos, and thinking it had been a good idea to watch them, they continued their commentary.

As the battle went on, the commentary could have gotten tired or a little loose, but

thanks to Mihael’s gift of gab and the backup team’s innate combat sense, there wasn’t a single moment you could just throw away, and the whole thing was turning into an awesome video being served up to the viewers.

“Aaah! Player Luna finally takes down the guardian golem first!”

“In fact, Luna’s contribution is the highest right now!”

“Will Luna’s team reclaim first place like this!!!”

“Embris follows up and destroys one!”

“And at the same time, Kyou also destroys a golem!!! It was slower than Luna, but there’s almost no difference! Their contribution scores are practically tied right now!”

After taking out the guarding golems, Luna charged toward the Lord of Despair’s foot.

However, the claws attached to the Lord of Despair’s foot suddenly grew, stretching out toward Luna as if they had been fired like swords.

Luna clenched the primordial might in her hand and swung her fist toward the claws.

And then.

Kraaaash———!!!

Clangclangclangclangclang————!!!

Because of the gigantic power packed into her fist, the claws shattered with a crash and broke into pieces, and using that momentum she rushed even faster toward the Lord of Despair’s foot, but this time Kyou was faster.

Even though they were underground, the thunder dragon that flashed as it fell from the sky filled the entire cavern with light in an instant, and even in that flickering field of vision Luna swung her fist to strike at the Lord of Despair’s foot, while Embris, who was gripping a blood-colored greatsword, also sent her sword flying in an attack.

The flickering field of view was the same for Mihael and the viewers as well, but because they were already allies, Mihael, watching from afar, could faintly make out the scene.

Because of that,

“Aaah!!! The moment Luna breaks through the rising claws and closes in, Kyou’s thunder dragon falls and wraps the surroundings in light!!! Even though they ★ ★ can’t see anything in the middle of that, Luna and Embris are still attacking!!! Their contribution scores are skyrocketing!!!”

“When Kyou makes a single attack, Luna is breaking claws and attacking on top of that, so out of the three whose contribution had been even, Luna’s has gone up!”

“Ah, that’s exactly as Lowell says!!!”

Luna’s consecutively brilliant combat sense.

Naturally, the viewers watching that were in a frenzy of excitement.

-Wow, big sis Luna!

-Big sis, I’m dying here!!!

-She’s seriously killing it!!!

-Wow 😂😂😂 Luna is seriously crazy good at fighting;;;

-I thought she’d be at a disadvantage since you can’t take a gigantic foot to the ground, but she’s fighting insanely well;;;

-For real, Kyou and Embris both have insane sense too, but Luna’s on another level;;;

-But it’s still only a razor-thin difference!!!

-Embris, win!!!

-Kyou, hang in there!!!

At the very moment Luna’s contribution score spiked in an instant like that, along with the cheers for Luna, the number of people cheering for Kyou and Embris also increased.

Buoyed by that support, Kyou and Embris also tried to attack even more.

However, at that moment, darkness surged up, wrapped around the three of them, and forced them back, and in the instant when all three were puzzled by Seong’s sudden interference,

Kwahhhhh———!!

a quake erupted near the Lord of Despair’s foot, where they had been about to charge, along with a wave of despair that dyed everything in despair.

As the aura of despair billowed up in an instant, all three of them realized they’d been too hasty, and Seong spoke.

“Competition is fine, but don’t forget this is a raid.”

Seong had stepped in out of nowhere.

And with that line, the viewers couldn’t help but feel their hearts flutter.

-Oh my?

-Wow, he just saves them like that right away 😂😂😂

-I almost fell for him too lol

-Demon King bro!!! I’m dying here!!!!

-Seriously 😂😂😂 he’s so damn cool.

-He’s so sexy lol

-I’m a guy, but I almost fell for him;;; 😂

-Seriously 😂 he’s a man with demonic charm.

Because of Seong’s intervention, all three nodded, and as they looked at one another, they exchanged glances with the mindset that while competition was competition, for now they should prioritize a perfect raid.

Of course, raising their contribution scores was something they naturally had to do, but a raid was still a raid.

After that, the team members who had finished taking out the golems all joined up with their leaders.

Then, through the gaps in the thickly billowing aura of despair, the Lord of Despair’s foot revealed itself.

The Lord of Despair’s foot, which was transforming into something more grotesque than before, had the hairs on its instep clump together like blades, forming ash-gray blades, and similar blades sprouted from its ankle as well.

The sight was not just disgusting but downright hideous, and the female users winced,

but right now, they had to endure at least that much revulsion.

And so the Lord of Despair’s foot began to move.

“Aaah! Now the Lord of Despair’s foot is getting fully involved!!!”

Just as Mihael described, the Lord of Despair’s foot, which had formed blades, truly began to fight.

Despite having no leg or body, it suddenly floated up into the air, and even made blades on the soles of its foot, slamming down and slashing as it did so.

It couldn’t help but be a highly tricky and difficult opponent.

Even so, the Demon King’s backup team fought against the ever more rampaging Lord of Despair’s foot as if they were going nowhere, and even without Seong stepping in like on the previous floor, the Lord of Despair’s foot was steadily losing strength.

As its strength gradually drained away, the blades also lost their sharpness, and the blades broke or huge wounds began to appear one by one on the foot itself.

“It’s gradually losing steam! Is the Lord of Despair’s foot getting worn out? I think we can see the end now! Currently, first place in contribution is—huh? The Demon King? I mean, just how much covering fire did he give for it to be over twenty-six percent?”

By some turn of events, Seong had ended up in first place in contribution.

All along the way, he had blocked the Lord of Despair’s Authorities and let them avoid unavoidable attacks.

When you factored things like that in, his contribution score couldn’t help but be quite high.

It couldn’t be helped that Seong was first in contribution.

Anyway, excluding Seong, the one in first place in contribution after that was, unexpectedly, Kyou.

Because of repeatedly fighting hard with the thought that this time Kyou would win no matter what, Kyou used thunderbolts and various other attacks, fully showing the class of a Storm Lord.

Of course, even so, Luna and Embris were right on Kyou’s heels, so no one could let their guard down.

While they were attacking the Lord of Despair’s foot, seesawing back and forth like that, in the end, when the Lord of Despair’s foot finally fell and turned ash-gray, disappearing as if burning away, everyone, starting with Seong, struck a victory pose.

“Ah!!! At last, the Lord of Despair’s foot has fallen!!! We’re only at the ninety-seventh floor now, so these rankings aren’t final! But you know how the first button is important!!! Mr. Lowell? Who’s in first place?”

“The Demon King.”

“Ah, come on! Excluding the Demon King! No, I’ll announce it! Interim tally announcement! Up to now, number one in contribution is Kyou’s party!!! Second is Luna’s team, and third is Embris’s party!!!”

-Wow, Kyou passed Luna’s team?!!??

-Feels like the big thing was handling all those golems popping up everywhere with ranged attacks?

-If Embris’s party had focused a bit more on ranged, it might have been different.

-Wow, it’s really a close match.

-There’s only about a one percent difference between them;;;;

-For real, I’m hyped for the next floor too.

The viewers fired off chat messages like that and fully savored the mood.

Looking at those viewers, Seong spoke.

“Today, we’re going straight to the hundredth floor.”
