A New Life in Fairy Tail

The moment the doors opened, Gray’s irritable voice rang out. ”Who are you calling a pervert, you squinty-eyed freak!”

”I’m talking about you, you droopy-eyed bastard!”

”What did you say?!”

Then came the sound of crashing and banging. Noah looked closely and saw a boy with short, cherry-pink hair and a scaly scarf fighting fiercely with Gray, trading punches in a wild brawl.

The surrounding guild members were cheering them on.

”So much energy!”

”This is pretty good!”

”Go on, go on! Punch him in the face!”

”Hit him back! Get him in the face!”

Lyon, standing nearby, watched Gray fighting and sneered, ”Gray forgot his clothes again. What a loser!”

Ultear, standing next to him, couldn’t help but punch him. ”You’re one to talk, you bastard! Get your clothes on!”

Sorano was excitedly shouting encouragement, while Yukino was pulling on her over-excited sister’s clothes, trying to stop her.

Noah also saw Kagura, Simon, Laxus, and Cana watching from a short distance away. It was truly a lively scene.

Wendy was clearly terrified by the sight and quickly hid behind Noah, peeking out with half her head to watch.

Just then, Noah saw Erza walk up. She stepped between the two boys and pushed the pink-haired boy and Gray apart.

”That’s enough!”

The two of them were pushed back several steps. After barely steadying himself, the pink-haired boy shouted at Erza, ”You lookin’ for a fight?!”

Gray, who was being glared at by Erza, couldn’t help but mutter, ”Ah, you idiot!”

In the next instant, both the pink-haired boy and Gray were sent flying into a wall by Erza’s fists. Stuck to the wall, Gray said weakly, ”Why me too...?”

”No fighting. Got it?” Erza’s eyes flashed menacingly.

Gray quickly replied, ”Y-yes, ma’am!”

”So strong... and scary!” the pink-haired boy said, his voice trembling as he sat on the floor, rubbing the large lump on his head.

Noah couldn’t help but cover his forehead. Has Erza been getting more and more violent? Or is it my imagination?

Just then, Erza saw Noah at the door and said in a happy tone, ”You’re back, Noah.”

”Mhm, I’m back.”

Ultear’s sharp eyes spotted Wendy hiding behind Noah. ”Who’s the little sister behind you?”

”You mean Wendy? Someone asked me to look after her. She wanted to join the guild, so I brought her back. Speaking of which, who brought back this lively young man?” Noah asked, looking at the pink-haired boy with a smile.

”The Master brought him back. By the way, what’s your name?” Erza asked, looking at the boy.

He blushed and turned his head away. ”Na... Natsu.”

”Natsu, is it? Listen up. Now that you’ve come to Fairy Tail, everyone here is your comrade, and this is everyone’s home. A home is not a place for fighting. Understand?”

Natsu looked at her, completely confused.

”My name is Erza. Nice to meet you.”

”Erza... so scary.”

”Right?” Natsu and Gray looked at each other, sharing a smile for an instant before they both froze, simultaneously snorted ”Hmph!”, and turned their heads away from each other.

Wendy, hiding behind Noah, looked at Erza and said with admiration, ”That red-haired big sister is so cool!”

Noah looked at Erza and saw that she was indeed radiating confidence and generosity, looking both cool and gallant. Having lived in Fairy Tail for two or three years without the trauma of the ”Tower of Heaven,” the strong and gentle parts of her personality were able to shine through, giving her a powerful aura. And after she started taking on requests and dealing with different clients, she had developed an even bolder personality.

Noah patted Wendy’s head. ”You can be like that too.”

”I can?” Wendy’s voice was full of self-doubt.

”After you’ve registered with the guild, you can just go and ask her for advice. But for now, let’s go with me and get you registered,” Noah said with a smile.

He took her small hand and walked to Makarov. ”Gramps, this is Wendy. She wants to join the guild.”

”Wendy, is it? Do you want to join Fairy Tail?”

”I want to join!”

”Do you know any magic?”

”I can use Sky Magic. I’m a Sky Dragon Slayer.”

Natsu, who had been thinking about something ever since he saw Wendy, immediately rushed over when he heard her words. ”You’re a Dragon Slayer too? Where did you learn your magic?!”

Wendy was frightened by his excited tone and shrank behind Noah.

Noah put a hand on Natsu’s head. ”You don’t have to be so excited. Talk slowly.”

Natsu calmed down a little and asked again, ”Who taught you your Dragon Slayer magic?”

”Grandeeney taught me. The Sky Dragon, Grandeeney,” Wendy replied in a small voice.

Natsu got excited again and was about to say something, but Noah slapped him on the head, and he immediately calmed down. ”My magic is Dragon Slayer magic too! The Fire Dragon, Igneel, taught me. How’s your dragon now?”

Hearing his question, tears began to fill Wendy’s eyes. ”Grandeeney is gone. I can’t find her anywhere.”

”She’s gone too? My Igneel is gone too. He disappeared on July 7th.”

Wendy looked up, her eyes blurry with tears. ”Grandeeney also disappeared on July 7th.”

”Two dragons disappeared on July 7th?” Erza, who had walked over, said in a low voice.

Noah said directly to Natsu and Wendy, ”Since they both disappeared on the same day, and you’ve both looked for them, you’ll just have to search for them slowly in the future. After all, with the strength of a dragon, they couldn’t have just vanished without a trace. They must have left on their own. For now, let’s get Wendy registered. Natsu, have you joined the guild yet?”

”Not yet.”

”Then do you want to join?”

”Yes! This place is interesting!”

”Then let’s do it together. Natsu and Wendy will join the guild together.”

Noah helped them both get registered and stamped their guild marks. The members of the guild all began to cheer.

”Welcome to the guild, little Wendy!”

”And I guess welcome to Natsu too!”

Natsu jumped up and down in a rage at that.

Makarov leaped onto the counter. ”To celebrate Wendy and Natsu joining the guild, let’s have a feast!”

”YEAHHH!!!”

Everyone cheered excitedly, and the atmosphere immediately became lively. Wendy was a little scared of the boisterous atmosphere. Noah patted her head, knelt down, and said to her, ”Don’t be afraid. Everyone is just happy. You can go over there. You admire Erza, don’t you? Then just go and talk to her. The big sisters over there will be happy to help you.”
