A Sect from a Spirit Vein

Chapter 252: Chapter 213: Personnel Adjustments

When Lu Qian awoke again, he was already back on his familiar bed. A burner in the corner of the room emitted a fragrance that was refreshing and elegant, clearing one’s mind.

The brilliant sunshine spilled in from outside; judging from the direction of the light, it must be morning. He sat up, shook his head, feeling utterly refreshed without any trace of drowsiness. Most importantly, his spiritual power circulated several times, feeling smooth and comfortable throughout.

This feeling even led to a slight increase in cultivation, which was a pleasant surprise; it’s true that the spirit wine brewed by the Golden Core Master of Danxia Sect is exceptional.

Lu Qian had just gotten off the bed and put on the neatly hung clothes on the hanger when he heard a light creak from the door, and a lovely lady walked in.

Their eyes met; surprise flickered in the lady’s eyes: ”Junior Brother, you’re finally awake.”

Lu Qian laughed and said, ”What are you saying? Have I been sleeping a long time?”

Jiang Qingfeng stepped forward a few steps and said reproachfully, ”You’ve been sleeping for seven days!”

Lu Qian was taken aback; no wonder his body felt a little stiff at first. These three bowls of spirit wine were astonishingly potent, making one’s tongue tingle.

He couldn’t help but ask, ”Has Elder Guh awoken yet?”

Jiang Qingfeng said with a half-smile, ”Elder Guh has deep cultivation, so naturally she woke earlier than you; she only slept for three days.”

The senior sister cast a scrutinizing look: ”What were you two doing? With the celebratory banquet going on, you two snuck away and got dead drunk.”

Lu Qian felt his heart pounding; this moment the senior sister seemed so imposing that he could only utter a half-truth: ”Elder Guh doesn’t like such occasions, so I had a few drinks with her alone. She took out spirit wine brewed by the Golden Core Master... I didn’t expect the wine to be so strong.”

Jiang Qingfeng looked at him suspiciously, and Lu Qian blinked innocently.

Suddenly, the senior sister sighed softly, her voice gentle: ”You are the Sect Leader, but you cannot act so casually. You’ve slept for seven days; we were all very worried and had no idea what to do. Fortunately, everything around is quite stable, and everything in the sect is normal.”

Seeing she did not pursue further, Lu Qian breathed a sigh of relief and smiled lightly: ”It’s precisely because you are taking care of things for me that I can feel so at ease to indulge in a celebration for the Foundation Establishment. It was a rare relaxation, and it won’t happen again next time.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Qingfeng felt sweet inside, glared at Lu Qian, then reached out to smooth the wrinkles on his clothes before calling a servant to prepare washing tools.

Lu Qian quietly watched the senior sister bustling around, feeling a sense of profound peace and warmth.

After tidying up, the two of them moved to the sitting room, where Jiang Qingfeng briefly explained the situation of the past few days.

Since Lu Qian was in a drunken stupor and didn’t wake, she discussed with several elders and temporarily did not arrange for the returning disciples. They just assigned a few disciples to act as guides, first helping them familiarize themselves with the mountain environment and understand the surrounding geography and the situation in Chongming County. Meanwhile, they provided them with a copy of the new sect rules, various systems, and ideological readings established by the Yunshan Sect.

These senior and junior brothers had longed day and night to return to the mountain gate, and now they naturally cherish this moment. They hurriedly began flipping through the rules, eager to integrate into the sect quickly.

Although these sect rules and various systems have greatly differed from the former Yunshan Sect, they learned that these were personally presided over by Lu Qian, so they naturally obeyed, and after careful reading, they also discovered the brilliance within them.

Over these past few days, they have become familiar with the revisions and have gained a basic understanding of the sect’s situation, feeling delighted by the flourishing and vibrant Yunshan Sect.

”Furthermore, the spoils you handed over to me before the banquet have all been inventoried.” Jiang Qingfeng’s eyes shone slightly, ”This time, it’s really remarkable. I was shocked by the tally. For the past three years, the production of various sect supplies has gone from nothing to barely achieving a balanced budget recently, with many items nearly depleted. All of a sudden, our resources have significantly increased, eliminating the need for external purchases.”

Lu Qian nodded: ”Alright, thank you for your hard work, Senior Sister. Now, gather all the elders, stewards, and returning senior and junior brothers; let’s have an expanded Elder Council meeting. We’ll settle the current affairs.”

On July 12th, the Yunshan Sect held a full (expanded) meeting of the Elder Council to arrange and prioritize current key tasks.

The most important agenda was to adjust the roles of existing elders and stewards and appoint new elders and stewards.

After discussions, Jiang Qingfeng will no longer serve as the Reward Elder, nor will Tan Hong serve as the Transmission Elder; the related positions will be filled by Yang Jiye and Wang Yu. Lin Le will no longer serve as the Internal Affairs Steward.

Also, from the returning disciples, five stewards were selected and assigned to various elders.

After adjustments, the Yunshan Sect now has five elders and seven stewards.

Yang Jiye serves as the Transmission Elder, with one steward.

Jiang Qingfeng serves as the Internal Affairs Elder, also the Business Elder, with an Internal Affairs Steward and Business Steward Lin Le.

Wang Yu serves as the Reward Elder, with one steward.

Tan Hong serves as the Punishment Elder, with one steward.

Zhang Lemei serves as the Security Elder, with one steward.

The responsibilities of Inspector Elder, Foreign Affairs Elder, and Conquest Elder are temporarily managed by Lu Qian. The Foreign Affairs Steward remains Zheng Duan.

Additionally, Junior Brother Hao and four other returning disciples do not hold steward positions but enjoy True Disciple treatment.

All cultivation affairs of the returning disciples are managed by Transmission Elder Yang Jiye and Sect Leader Lu Qian.

As this topic ended, everyone had varying expressions. The original elders and stewards were pleased with the more scientific and rational management responsibilities, especially Jiang Qingfeng and Tan Hong, who could finally breathe a little easier.

Among the returning disciples, Yang Jiye, Wang Yu, and others knew the related arrangement in advance, so they remained calm. The five disciples chosen as stewards were also informed earlier, and upon receiving the appointment, they naturally rejoiced.

The other four disciples looked somewhat dissatisfied, but understanding their capacities and realizing that the True Disciple treatment in the sect’s system was much better than before as Inner Sect disciples in Yunshan, they accepted it as well.

Lu Qian offered some encouragement before asking each steward and other disciples to leave, leaving the elders to continue the meeting.

Next, Jiang Qingfeng reported to the Elder Council about the spoils obtained from breaking Xiangshou Mountain Marketplace and Ziluo Mountain.

That included the core goods of a nearly medium-sized marketplace and the three hundred fifty years’ worth of cache from Ziluo Mountain!

With that in mind, everyone’s hearts raced with excitement, all ears attentively as they listened to her inventory.

The first item, concerning Spiritual Artifacts and Magical Artifacts, surprised and delighted everyone.

This time, they obtained eleven Spiritual Artifacts, of which nine were for sale at Xiangshou Mountain Marketplace and two were from Ziluo Mountain’s cache.

Apart from the Cold Star Sword and Three Flowers Shield already given to Yang Jiye, there are five Attack Spiritual Artifacts, including two low-tier, two mid-tier, and one high-tier. There are two Defensive Spiritual Artifacts: one low-tier and one mid-tier. Additionally, there are two Support Spiritual Artifacts: one mid-tier and one high-tier.

Along with the previous four Spiritual Artifacts stored by Yunshan Sect, there are currently fifteen Spiritual Artifacts in total.

However, Guh Niqiang uses nothing but her Flowing Cloud Immortal Robe, and Lu Qian doesn’t really need them, and Senior Brother Yang already has his, leaving these Spiritual Artifacts temporarily without use.

The Magical Artifacts are even more impressive, totaling over five hundred! Combined with the previous cache of over four hundred Magical Artifacts, Yunshan Sect now has close to a thousand Magical Artifacts stored!

By the standard disciple growth rate, even if the sect produces no Artifact Refining, merely consuming them, Yunshan Sect won’t need to purchase any Magical Artifacts externally for decades, or even a century.
