I Seek Immortality Through Serendipity

Chapter 24: Chapter 22: Daoist Academy Decree

”Accursed!”

In the air, there seemed to be the sharp cry of a falcon, the brilliant Dharma Seal stirred the Spiritual Qi between heaven and earth, blue lightning emerged out of nowhere within the Void, tearing through, roaring towards Gu Yuan.

Gu Yuan’s form remained unmoved, and the mana within him surged out, invoking a dirt-yellow Dharma Seal nurtured within his Dantian.

In the Void, a hazy shadow appeared, moisture spread, a heavy Profound Turtle rose from the water, shielding Gu Yuan.

”Boom!”

Water and electricity intertwined, and instantly, it was damp in front of the Cave Mansion, as if a small rain had fallen.

”Buzz buzz!”

But the blue lightning was particularly fierce, it seemed to have drained the Spiritual Qi within a few meters area, the blazing Thunder surged incessantly, though the Profound Turtle resisted with all its might, it still couldn’t withstand, being shattered.

The dim Dharma Seal fell back into Gu Yuan’s Dantian, the residual power of the lightning continued, again striking towards Gu Yuan.

”As expected of a noble disciple of Cyan Peak Daoist School, this ’Falcon Thunder Seal’ is truly extraordinary.”

Seeing his Profound Turtle Seal falter within mere breaths, Gu Yuan couldn’t help but sigh.

Yet, he was not the least bit panicked, just with a flick of his wide sleeve, an icy-blue Dharma Seal once again flew out from his Dantian, invoking the Spiritual Qi of heaven and earth, transforming into a chain of chilling intent, crashing towards the incoming lightning.

”Crack!!”

The lightning was already somewhat exhausted, and upon being touched by the icy chain, it instantly turned into pieces of ice-blue ”debris,” scattered on the ground, freezing the grass and trees before dispersing as Spiritual Qi into the heavens and earth.

Gu Yuan fended off this strike, yet Lan Tianlu’s assault had already arrived like a tidal wave.

Magical combat isn’t a stiff, turn-based game.

After a simple probe, three brilliant Dharma Seals flew simultaneously from Lan Tianlu’s Dantian, invoking Spiritual Qi, bringing awe-inspiring might, simultaneously pressing forward.

Not only that, the Cloud Boots beneath his feet surged with Spiritual Light, as he flipped over and mounted a Celestial Horse with wings sprouting from its back, a red spear appeared in his hand, its tip carried raging lightning, charging towards Gu Yuan with Thunder Momentum.

The Lan Family has alien bloodlines, hence the silver hair and blue eyes, apart from the added benefits in cultivating Thunder Element Seals, their spear techniques are also exceptional.

At this moment, Lan Tianlu mounted a horse with spear in hand, and the Dharma Seals all appearing, it was indeed a life and death struggle.

”Earth-Sinking Seal!”

”Net Seal!”

”One Qi Purple Light Seal!”

The brown Earth-Sinking Seal invoked Spiritual Qi, transforming into a thick layer of gravity, like a small mountain pressing down, restricting Gu Yuan’s freedom.

The Net Seal shimmered silver, seeming like a spider spinning webs, creating layer upon layer, wrapping towards Gu Yuan’s limbs.

One Qi Purple Light Seal thundered with electricity, truly like Thunderfall, the power most formidable.

Moreover, Lan Tianlu rides a Celestial Horse, wielding a high-grade Dharma Artifact, spear striking like a dragon.

This set of combined attacks showcased Lan Tianlu’s intent to win.

Gu Yuan couldn’t help but sigh deeply, knowing it was difficult for him to win.

However, his purpose for this trip was already achieved.

It was time to temporarily end this farce.

”Restrain!”

Gu Yuan spoke lightly, yet with a heavy authority, as if holding an imperial decree.

”Boom!”

The heavy Spiritual Qi stirred endlessly, lighting up upon Gu Yuan’s Cave Mansion, dazzling Array Patterns floated, like Golden Swords, like Great Sun, emanating a resonant sound, invoking the most terrifying power of Cyan Peak Daoist School.

Cyan Peak Daoist School’s Mountain Protection Array, Melting Sun Golden Array.

Though only a trace of power, it was extremely fearsome.

”Bang!”

The sharp sword light descended from the heavens, directly suppressing the three Dharma Seals in front of Lan Tianlu, not only that, the surging power buzzed like a mountain descending.

”Plop!”

Lan Tianlu had no power to resist, directly suppressed and fell from the Celestial Horse, his handsome face seemed to be stepped on by someone, firmly pressed into the muddy ground.

”Gu Yuan!”

”This is an absolute struggle!”

”You actually invoked the Grand Array, despicable, despicable!”

”Quickly release me, or when the Law Enforcement Hall arrives, you will surely face Thunder Punishment!”

Lan Tianlu never expected, in an absolute struggle, Gu Yuan would even invoke the Cave Mansion’s Grand Array, this was simply too despicable!

He tried hard to raise his head, cursing Gu Yuan, but with his head pressed in the soil, he could only let out muffled sounds, extremely embarrassed.

”Who is it!”

”To invoke the Grand Array, could there be an alien invasion?”

At this moment, a swift Escape Light arrived rapidly from afar, an elder in a white robe stood midair, in an instant reached Bailu Island, coldly looking at Gu Yuan and Lan Tianlu.

In his hand, a golden Token, dazzling and bright, emitted radiant light, with powerful forces swirling within.

With the appearance of the Token, the dazzling Array Patterns upon Gu Yuan’s Cave Mansion instantly stabilized, no longer humming chaotically, yet the fearsome power continued to firmly suppress Lan Tianlu.

”Which lineage’s disciple, what happened? To invoke the Mountain Protection Array?”

The elder, his cultivation deep and unfathomable, clad in a white robe, clearly no longer a Qi Refining stage disciple, but a Foundation Establishment stage elder.

At this moment, he coldly faced down, questioning Gu Yuan.

”Reporting to Martial Uncle, this person intruded my Cave Mansion, attempted to harm fellow disciples, left with no choice, I activated the Grand Array for self-protection, hoping Martial Uncle discerns it rightly!”

Gu Yuan bowed in reply.

Daoist School of Cyan Peak is a major sect, with its own laws and sect rules, prohibiting private battles within the sect, forcing oppression.

The Hidden Flood Dragon Institute being the core island, even the Cave Mansion of a Qi Refining disciple is sheltered by the Grand Array, if encountering alien threats, the master of the Mansion can invoke a trace of the Grand Array’s power to suppress the invader.

Although Gu Yuan was only at Qi Refining Fourth Layer, once utilizing the Grand Array, even Foundation Establishment couldn’t harm him.

Just now, Gu Yuan used the Array to easily suppress Lan Tianlu.

”Nonsense!”

”It was you who proposed an absolute struggle! Only then did I make a move!”

Lan Tianlu’s low, angry voice came from the soil.

”Absolute struggle?”

The elder was slightly stunned.

There are many disciples in Cyan Peak Daoist School, inevitably there is complex conflict and strife, besides, cultivators often have a chest of grievances, decisive in actions.

If constantly suppressed, it won’t be beneficial, it would instead incite endless schemes and entanglements.

Thus, the Daoist Academy prescribed three modes of contention: one is a Dao struggle, Magical Combat determine victory, causing no fatalities, the loser apologizes, offers Spirit Stones, and the matter is resolved.

The second is a Dao struggle, when both parties’ ideologies differ totally, leaving no room for reconciliation, the loser leaves Cyan Peak Daoist School, heads to South Sea Villa, to guard the sea domain, and not return to Cyan Peak Mountain in life.

The third is an absolute struggle, staking life, Cave Mansion, Spirit Stones, wagering everything, the loser gains nothing, the winner takes all.

Generally, disciples in the Daoist Academy strive mostly in Dao struggles and Dao struggles, absolute struggles are rare, as it leads to non-stop deadly stalemates.

”An absolute struggle requires a plea to the Law Enforcement Hall, a Golden Book Decree is submitted, both parties draw blood to seal, only then it can begin.”

”You have neither a Golden Book nor a Blood Seal, how is it an absolute struggle? Just relying on the power of the noble family, oppressing new disciples!”

”I invoked the sect’s laws, using the Grand Array to suppress you, why not?”

Gu Yuan replied coldly, while tossing out a book, hitting Lan Tianlu’s face.

The book was thick, of a grayish-blue color, with four cold, indifferent words on it.

”Daoist Academy Decree!”
