She Used Me for a Dare… Now I Own Her Mother

Chapter 464: The Wall at 93%

The underground training hall was thick with tension.

Alex stood in the center of the sparring area, shirtless and calm. Opposite him, the four men — Damien, Dimitri, Andre, and Pavel — had surrounded him in a loose but coordinated formation.

They attacked together.

Damien came from the front with a sharp combination. Pavel swept low from the left. Dimitri rushed in from the right with a powerful knee strike. Andre waited for the perfect opening from behind.

It was a flawless, multi-angle assault.

But Alex moved like he had already seen it all.

He slipped Damien’s punches with minimal movement, stepped over Pavel’s sweep, deflected Dimitri’s knee with his forearm, and spun just in time to meet Andre’s incoming strike with a precise counter-elbow that sent him stumbling back.

In less than three seconds, he had neutralized all four attacks without taking a single hit.

The four men’s eyes widened.

They tried again — faster, more aggressive, switching positions seamlessly. But Alex was always one step ahead. His movements were economical, almost lazy.

Every block, every counter, every step was perfectly timed. He read their rhythm like an open book.

Within a minute, the fight had turned one-sided.

Damien was thrown over Alex’s shoulder and slammed into the mat. Pavel was caught mid-kick and flipped hard onto his back.

Dimitri tried a desperate tackle and ended up eating a sharp knee to the stomach that left him gasping on the ground. Andre lasted the longest, but a clean palm strike to the chest sent him crashing backward.

All four men lay on the floor, breathing heavily, gasping for air like they had just run a marathon.

Alex stood in the center, completely spotless. Not even a drop of sweat on his face. His breathing was steady, his posture relaxed.

Damien pushed himself up on one elbow, staring at Alex in disbelief.

”...We surrender,” he said between heavy breaths. ”There’s no point continuing. You’re on another level now.”

The others nodded weakly, still trying to catch their breath.

Pavel let out a tired laugh. ”How the hell did you improve this much in such a short time? A few days ago we could at least pressure you... now it feels like we’re fighting a completely different person.”

Dimitri wiped sweat from his forehead, still gasping. ”It’s scary, man. You’re reading every move before we even make it.”

Alex looked at the four men sprawled on the training mats and couldn’t help but smile... a calm, genuine smile that didn’t carry even a hint of arrogance, only quiet satisfaction.

’How could I not overpower them?’ he thought. ’In my realm... I am already invincible.’

A faint blue system window flickered across his vision for a brief moment, visible only to him.

The number brought a surge of pride. Twenty-two days had passed since that explosive moment with Natalia Steele. And fifteen days since he had walked out of the examination hall, leaving behind the ordinary world of exams and pretense.

In those weeks, he had pushed himself without mercy.

While others rested, he trained. While others celebrated the end of exams, he sparred until his muscles screamed and his bones felt like they would shatter.

He refined every movement, every instinct, every micro-decision in combat. The Adaptive Body did the rest... turning pain into fuel, turning experience into exponential growth.

Dimitri let out a wheezing laugh, still lying flat on his back. ”We used to be able to give you a decent fight. Now it feels like we’re throwing ourselves at a damn wall.”

Alex’s smile softened as he offered a hand to help him up. The others slowly got to their feet, chests still heaving, legs shaky.

”It’s just hard work,” Alex said quietly, though the system window still glowed softly in the corner of his mind. ”A lot of it.”

Damien dusted himself off, still catching his breath, and looked at Alex with a mix of exhaustion and respect.

”You know, man... these past weeks sparring with you? We’ve benefited a lot. All of us. The way you move, the pressure you put on us... it’s forced us to get sharper too. I don’t think we’d have improved this fast without you as our benchmark.”

The others nodded in agreement, Pavel clapping Alex on the shoulder. ”Yeah. Feels like we’re all leveling up together.”

Alex gave them a relaxed smile, shrugging lightly as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

”It’s nothing,” he said casually. ”I’m glad you guys are improving too. The stronger you all get, the better our training becomes. Keep pushing... we’ll only get sharper together.”

His tone was humble and easygoing, but the quiet confidence behind it made the four men exchange glances. There was no bragging, no superiority... just simple acknowledgment. It somehow made Alex’s overwhelming dominance feel even more intimidating.

Viktor, who had been watching silently from the sidelines, finally stepped forward. His arms were still crossed, but his eyes shone with unmistakable approval.

”Hard work is one thing,” Viktor said, voice low and measured. ”But this... this is something else entirely. You’ve really shocked us again and again, Alex. Every single day you come back stronger. It’s almost unnatural.”

Alex gave a small nod, but before he could respond, Viktor stepped fully into the sparring area. The atmosphere in the underground hall shifted instantly.

”Enough talk,” Viktor said, rolling his shoulders. His eyes locked onto Alex with a fierce, challenging glint. ”Let’s see how far you’ve really come.”

The four men immediately moved back, forming a wide circle around the central mat. Their fatigue vanished, replaced by pure excitement.

”This is gonna be good,” Dimitri muttered, grinning.

”Boss versus the monster. I’ve been waiting for this,” Andre added, practically bouncing on his toes.

Pavel whistled. ”Place your bets. I say it ends in a draw.”

Alex didn’t reply. He simply clenched and unclenched his fist, feeling the perfect harmony between body and mind.

At 93% Battle Sense, every twitch of muscle, every shift in weight, every flicker of intent from his opponents felt like it was moving in slow motion.

He was far from his limit.

And the weeks of relentless training had only proven one thing:

He was only getting started.

Alex met Viktor’s gaze and stepped forward. A spark of anticipation ran through him. This was what he had been waiting for... the real test.

To finally see if he could really beat Viktor.

Both men dropped into ready stances. No weapons. Pure hand-to-hand.

The fight began.

Viktor exploded forward with terrifying speed, throwing a barrage of heavy, precise strikes.

Alex met him head-on. Their fists collided in a blur of motion, the impact echoing through the hall like thunder.

Alex countered with sharp, adaptive angles, slipping inside Viktor’s guard and landing clean body shots that made the older man grunt.

They traded blows at a blistering pace.

Neither gave ground. Viktor’s experience and raw power clashed perfectly against Alex’s overwhelming battle sense and Adaptive Body.

Every punch, every kick, every feint was answered instantly. When Viktor feinted low and went high, Alex was already there. When Alex tried a spinning elbow, Viktor flowed around it like water and returned fire.

Minutes stretched into what felt like an eternity. The hall shook as missed punches and slips landed on the reinforced walls and floor.

Cracks spiderwebbed across the ultra-durable training material... concrete specially engineered for awakened fighters... but it held firm, absorbing the devastating force without collapsing.

Sweat finally began to pour down Alex’s face. Viktor’s breathing grew ragged.

Still, neither could push the other back decisively.

After what felt like fifteen grueling minutes of pure, high-level combat, both men finally separated. They stood a few paces apart, chests heaving, lungs burning for air. Blood trickled from a split lip on Viktor’s face.

Alex had a forming bruise on his ribs and knuckles that were raw and red.

Viktor straightened slowly, wiping blood from his mouth. A wide, proud smile broke across his weathered face as he walked forward and placed a heavy hand on Alex’s shoulder.

”I have nothing left to teach you, Alex,” he said, voice thick with genuine emotion.

”You’ve absorbed everything perfectly. Every lesson, every technique... you’ve made it your own. I’m proud of you.”

The others burst into applause and cheers, surrounding them.

”Insane fight!” Damien shouted.

”You two were on another planet,” Pavel laughed. ”That was the best spar I’ve ever seen.”

Dimitri grinned. ”Alex, you’re a damn monster now.”

Alex forced a smile, accepting their praise and clapping hands with each of them. But inside, a quiet dissatisfaction gnawed at him.

He glanced at the invisible system window only he could see.

’No change.’

Even after pushing himself to the absolute limit against Viktor... the strongest opponent he had faced in this realm... the percentage hadn’t budged. Not even a single point.

’What now?’ Alex thought, the excitement of the fight draining away. ’If fighting Viktor at full strength can’t push it further... what the hell do I do next?’

The weeks of relentless growth had suddenly hit a wall.

And Alex hated it.
