She Used Me for a Dare… Now I Own Her Mother

Chapter 141: Through Her Eyes

On screen, Lila moved through the apartment like a ghost. Each step slow, heavy, as if her legs could barely carry her weight.

She dropped her purse on the floor... didn’t even bother to pick it up. Just stood there in the entryway, staring at nothing.

Sophia cranked the audio feed to maximum.

Silence. Just Lila’s ragged breathing and a soft, broken sound that might have been a whimper.

Then Lila’s face crumpled.

Her hand came up to cover her mouth, shoulders shaking. She stumbled forward, collapsed onto the couch, and buried her face in her hands.

And started sobbing.

Not delicate tears. Full, body-wracking sobs that made her whole frame shake.

The sounds came through the speakers... raw, ugly, desperate. The kind of crying that came from the deepest well of failure and fear.

Sophia’s jaw clenched so tight her teeth ached.

This bitch.

The thought burned through her mind like acid.

This fucking useless bitch just invited me to watch her cry? What the fuck is going on?

Her eyes darted between screens, searching for answers that weren’t there.

Then the realization crashed over her like ice water.

He fucking left?

He’d been there. She’d confirmed it herself. And still, he’d walked away... rejected her.

Now this useless girl was crying like a broken doll, for failing the one task I had made absolutely clear was everything.

Heat flashed through Sophia’s chest, spreading like wildfire.

Her fingers trembled... not from fear, but from barely contained rage.

She’d spent a lot on Lila... on her grooming, her training... testing her through smaller assignments before finally placing her in Alex’s orbit, orchestrating every touch, every manufactured vulnerability, every calculated moment designed to trap him exactly where Sophia wanted.

And this girl... this useless girl... had let him slip through her fingers.

Sophia stood abruptly, chair scraping back. The wine glass hit the desk hard enough that red liquid splashed over the rim, staining the mahogany.

She didn’t notice.

Her vision tunneled on the screens. On Lila’s pitiful form curled on that couch, sobbing into her hands like the world had ended.

You stupid, incompetent bitch.

Every carefully laid plan. Every resource poured into this operation. Every moment of anticipation building to this crescendo...

All of it crashing down because she couldn’t seal the deal with one man.

Sophia’s hands curled into fists at her sides, nails biting into her palms hard enough to leave crescents. Her breathing came faster, sharper.

The fury coiled in her chest like a living thing, hot and vicious and demanding release.

On screen, Lila lifted her head. Mascara and tears painted her face.

She looked directly at one of the cameras... the one in the smoke detector above the TV, and her expression shifted.

Fear.

Raw, animal fear.

”She knows I’m here. Knows she’s failed. And she knows exactly what’s waiting for her.”

Sophia reached for her phone, fingers moving with cold precision despite the rage burning through her veins.

Five minutes. She’d give Lila exactly five more minutes to pull herself together.

Because then Sophia was calling.

And when she did, there would be consequences.

She stood there, rigid, watching Lila drag herself off the couch and stumble toward the bathroom. Watching her strip off her clothes with shaking hands.

Sophia’s fingers tightened around her phone as Lila disappeared into the bathroom on the center monitor. The shower turned on... steam beginning to fog the camera lens.

The rage didn’t cool. It settled... deep and cold and patient.

Five minutes.

Then she’d remind Lila exactly who held the leash.

She switched the audio to the bedroom feed, cranking the volume. Water running. Soft sounds of Lila moving around. But no masculine voice. No second presence.

Minutes ticked by. Ten. Fifteen. Twenty.

Lila emerged from the bathroom... towel wrapped around her body, hair wet, movements slow and mechanical. Like she was going through motions without purpose.

Sophia’s nostrils flared. She reached for her phone, thumb hovering over Lila’s contact, ready to demand answers, when—

Movement on the screen.

The apartment door burst open.

Alex.

Sophia’s breath caught. Her anger evaporated like smoke.

He was back.

And the look on his face... jaw set, shoulders tense, every line of his body radiating barely controlled anger... made her pulse spike.

Her fingers released the phone. It clattered onto the desk, forgotten.

Oh, this is going to be good.

The disappointment, the rage, the crushing weight of failure... all of it dissolved in an instant, replaced by something sharper. Hungrier.

She leaned forward, pulse quickening, eyes locked on the center monitor.

He came back.

Not just came back. He returned. Sought her out. Couldn’t stay away.

A slow smile curved Sophia’s lips.

Maybe Lila wasn’t so useless after all.

The bathroom door flew open. Lila’s startled gasp crackled through the speakers, and then...

His hands on her. Rough. Possessive. Backing her against the wall.

Their mouths crashed together.

Sophia’s breath hitched.

The kiss was brutal... all teeth and dominance, his hand fisting in Lila’s wet hair, yanking her head back to expose her throat.

He took her mouth like a beast claiming prey, and Lila melted under the onslaught, whimpering, clinging to him.

Sophia’s hand drifted to her own lips, fingertips brushing the curve unconsciously.

She imagined it. Herself in Lila’s place. Trapped between Alex and that wall, feeling the raw power in his grip, the heat of his body pressing her into submission.

The thought sent a shiver down her spine, settling low in her belly.

God.

Her breathing quickened.

On screen, Alex’s hands moved over Lila’s body... gripping, bruising, claiming.

Sophia tracked every movement, every mark blooming under his fingers, every gasp Lila made.

The control he had. The way he dominated her so effortlessly, reducing her to nothing but need and submission.

Sophia couldn’t look away.

Her fingers moved without conscious thought... unbuttoning her silk blouse, shrugging it off her shoulders. The cool air hit her skin, but she barely registered it. Her eyes stayed glued to the monitors.

Alex’s shirt came off. Sophia’s gaze traced the lines of his chest, the flex of muscle as he gripped Lila’s thighs and lifted her.

Her skirt followed... pooling at her feet. Then her bra, unhooked and discarded.

She stood there in only black lace panties and heels, chest heaving, skin flushed.

His hands moved lower. His belt came undone.

Sophia’s thighs clenched involuntarily, heat pooling between her legs.

And then... his pants dropped. Underwear followed.

Sophia went still.

Even through the screen, the size of him made her breath catch. Thick. Long. Already hard.

Her mouth went dry.

She’d seen it before. But watching it again now, frame by frame, Sophia took in everything... the fear, the surrender, the pleasure.

Seeing the way Lila’s eyes widened, the way her mouth stayed slightly open, made something flicker in her chest... a strange, quiet pride she couldn’t quite explain.

The vein running along his shaft. The way it jutted forward, heavy and demanding. The sheer masculine power it represented.

A low sound escaped her throat... half-sigh, half-whimper.

On screen, Just as Alex positioned himself. Lila looked up... straight into the camera.

Their eyes met through the lens.

And Lila smiled. Just slightly. A knowing, victorious curve of her lips before Alex thrust into her and her face contorted with pleasure.

Sophia’s vision went red.

That bitch.

She was mocking her. Flaunting it. Throwing it in Sophia’s face that she was the one pinned against the wall, that she was the one being taken, claimed, filled by him.

Sophia’s nails bit into her palms, jaw clenched so tight her teeth ached.

I’ll teach you a lesson you’ll never forget, she swore silently, eyes burning into the screen. You think you’ve won? You have no idea what’s coming.

But even through the rage, she couldn’t stop watching.

Couldn’t stop feeling the phantom press of his body against hers.

Couldn’t stop imagining what it would feel like to have him take her like that... rough, merciless, stripping away every layer of control until there was nothing left but raw, animal need.

And for the first time, the anger cracked. Beneath it was something uglier.

Disappointment.

In herself.

Why had she walked away? Why had she let him go before she’d even had the chance to feel that kind of ruin?

Why?

Her breath hitched, fingers trembling against the edge of the desk.

And then, almost unconsciously, the thought slipped through... unbidden, possessive, quiet but absolute:

He’ll be mine again.

Her hand slid lower, fingertips tracing the lace edge of her panties.

On screen, Alex pounded into Lila with brutal precision, each thrust making her scream, making the wall shake.

Sophia’s breath came in ragged gasps, fingers slipping beneath lace.

She hated her. God, she hated her.

But she couldn’t look away.
