Chapter 1048: Chapter 1048: The Jade Pendant Breaks, No Longer Suppressed

With a secret plan in mind, Sikong Jing said to Fan Kui, ”Vice Captain Fan, divide the Sky Wolf Team into ten groups to operate in the back mountain. I want the Shiyu Commerce people to expand their encirclement of us, forcing them to scatter their forces.”

Hearing Sikong Jing’s words, Fan Kui blinked but immediately organized the ten groups and identified their leaders.

At the same time, Sikong Jing also drew a topographic map of the back mountain of Wuming Manor, which he had sketched based on investigations by various Little Demon Beasts. Now, he had a complete grasp of the terrain of the back mountain.

Then, using the map, he assigned and directed the interim leaders of the ten groups on their strategic directions.

Finally, the members of the Sky Wolf Team moved into various directions of the mountain according to Sikong Jing’s orders.

Only after the ten groups had entirely vanished into the mountains did Fan Kui ask dumbfoundedly, ”Brother Sikong, what is the purpose of your actions? Are you trying to ensure at least a few groups survive?”

In Fan Kui’s view, their numbers compared to Pei Fenqing’s forces were still too significantly outmatched; victory seemed impossible.

Thus, this plan might only aim to safeguard a portion of their lives and hold out until the reinforcements from the East Dominator Branch arrived.

”No, I intend... to annihilate the enemy entirely!” Sikong Jing replied with explosive battle intent.

Hearing this, Fan Kui couldn’t help but widen his eyes. How could that be possible?

”There’s nothing impossible about it. In this battle, we will achieve remarkable feats for the East Dominator Branch,” Sikong Jing said heavily.

If they could eliminate the people sent by Shiyu Commerce, it would indeed be a notable triumph.

By then, the name of Sky Wolf would make significant waves in Hanluan City.

”Believe me, even if we cannot win this battle, we won’t suffer too many casualties,” Sikong Jing emphasized strongly again as he noticed Fan Kui still looked incredulous.

Sikong Jing then waited in place while occasionally sending communications and instructions to the ten groups.

An hour later, the ten groups reached the positions arranged by Sikong Jing.

Then... Awooo!

A group howled like wolves, immediately catching the attention of Chaser Pei Fenqing and others. He then sent people with doubts in the direction of the howls to investigate...

The response they received was: the Sky Wolf Team was there.

Upon hearing this, Pei Fenqing’s eyes flashed with a cold gleam as he said, ”What is East Dominator Sky Wolf up to, deliberately attracting our attention? Is it a trap?”

He did not immediately order to advance, feeling there must be deception involved...

Subsequently, as he expected, another wolf-like howl sounded from a different direction.

Suddenly, Pei Fenqing was a bit confused and sent people to investigate again.

After sending people back and forth, he discovered that the Sky Wolf Team had split into several groups, with unclear intentions.

They continually howled as if it was all traps.

Grandpa Wan San, observing this situation, murmured, ”They’re definitely trying to confuse our senses while ensuring the survival of several groups. More importantly, they want to ensure the safety of East Plain’s Little Beast and Hua Meixi’s mother-daughter pair...”

”Then, they intend to find the chance to sneak out of the back mountain and communicate with the East Dominator Branch.”

This analysis immediately received Pei Fenqing’s approval.

Though it might be a trap, the force gap was several times more; East Dominator Sky Wolf could only think of ways to preserve their lives.

Or rather, find ways to communicate with the East Dominator Branch for support...

Neither Pei Fenqing nor Grandpa Wan San considered that Sikong Jing might have plans to counter-attack them.

Therefore, Pei Fenqing sneered, ”With the intelligence provided by Little Demon Beast, they now need to spread their forces to attempt an escape... Unfortunately, East Plain’s Little Beast underestimates my military strength and my Soldier Killing Array capability.”

With that said, Pei Fenqing seriously ordered, ”Pass my command, scatter all troops.”

”Surround every range where East Dominator Sky Wolf groups are located and press them hard.”

”Don’t let a single fly escape...”

With a vast number of troops, Pei Fenqing intended to enclose and encircle all ten groups of East Dominator Sky Wolf, forcing them to continually retreat, crushing them from a large circle into a small one...

Finally, annihilate them, leaving none behind!

Upon hearing this order, Grandpa Wan San felt something was off, yet couldn’t pinpoint the issue... Still, the belief was that East Dominator Sky Wolf had no intention to counter-attack.

Thus, he had no choice but to comply.

In the afternoon, Sikong Jing received intelligence that Pei Fenqing, as he expected, dispersed his forces, intending to encircle the Sky Wolf Team in the mountains, pushing them hard to shrink their area continually...

With a slight curl at the corner of his mouth, Sikong Jing said, ”The time for a counter-attack should be in two hours.”

He stood silently in place, waiting, while secretly gathering many Little Demon Beasts from the back mountain.

Then Sikong Jing ordered the ten groups to retreat while the enemy pressured them.

At this moment, Fan Kui stood beside Sikong Jing yet still couldn’t discern what Sikong Jing planned to do.

He always felt the latter was intriguingly unfathomable.

Time passed bit by bit, an hour later dusk fell, and Fan Kui left Sikong Jing’s side to command elsewhere, while Sikong Jing remained at the original spot with a calm expression, counting the time.

But at that moment, his body suddenly trembled, instinctively looking back at Hua Meixi, who was still unconscious.

He saw that her condition suddenly appeared abnormal...

The next moment, Jiang Wanyou couldn’t help but exclaim, ”The Evil Charm has awakened again; it wasn’t fully suppressed earlier.”

After saying this, Jiang Wanyou quickly took out the Jade Pendant and placed it on Hua Meixi’s forehead.

The Jade Pendant emitted a faint blood light again, but the light faded more and more until it was almost invisible.

When Sikong Jing swiftly came to them, his mother and daughter... With a crack, the Jade Pendant suddenly broke in two!

Instantly, the Evil Charm aura on Hua Meixi’s body began to surge wildly.

With a plop, Jiang Wanyou fell heavily to the ground, her face turning utterly pale as she cried out, ”The formation in the Jade Pendant is damaged, and the Fierce Beast Blood inside is indeed exhausted.”

Then, lifting her head sharply, she looked blankly at Sikong Jing, saying, ”It’s over; we can’t suppress Meixi’s Evil Charm aura anymore.”

”Young Master Sikong, what should I do?”

Despite asking this, Jiang Wanyou knew that Young Master Sikong likely had no solution either.

Then she hurriedly sat up and examined Hua Meixi’s body, then said tremblingly, ”It’s about to erupt. The suppressed Evil Charm aura is rebelliously counter-attacking; it’s going to completely erupt.”

Hearing this, Sikong Jing’s eyes flashed with intense coldness.

Now, the day hadn’t passed since Yao Yulou’s Demon Rat conveyed the message. He was probably still delaying Qianwang Holy Tower people, and if Hua Meixi’s Evil Charm Sacred Body completely erupted, Qianwang Holy Tower people would surely sense it and rush here.

And even if they managed to hold out for a day, Hua Meixi’s complete eruption would lead to endless troubles.

Thinking of this, Sikong Jing immediately said, ”Aunt Jiang, open the formation on the two broken pieces of Jade Pendant, let me see.”
