Nine Revolutions Star Transformation

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Cyan Frost Sword

Chu Lin absorbed a cold breath; this guy is really amazing. It seemed that back then it was indeed a life-and-death situation.

”What about the Iron Sword?”

The vendor chuckled, ”It’s strange, maybe my luck was just too good. When the cave collapsed, the giant serpent was severely harmed, same as being buried by the fallen rocks.

I was close to the cave’s entrance, the rocks that fell weren’t large or many, but it was different for the serpent. Several large stones landed on it, with one striking it at a critical point.

It took all my strength to crawl out from under the rocks, perhaps heaven pitied me, and that creature actually died. A Tier Five Magical Beast surely has a Demon Crystal, so, enduring the pain, I broke open its skull but found no crystal.

But I did discover something else, do you know what it is?”

It was the first time Chu Linfeng heard something so incredible, like the Sword Spirit appearing in his mind, leaving him stunned for quite a while.

”You wouldn’t guess, would you? I saw inside its skull there was actually a sword, an old rusty sword!” The vendor laughed at Chu Linfeng’s speechless expression.

”A sword? How could something like that appear inside its skull?” Chu Linfeng hurriedly questioned.

”I found it strange too but couldn’t explain it. Originally, I thought this sword was valuable, but later discovered it was just a broken sword, not even sharp.”

The vendor finished speaking and took out a three-foot-long sword from his Storage Belt.

Chu Linfeng noticed that, indeed, the sword was rusty, his heart slightly disappointed. Just then, the Sword Spirit’s voice sounded in his mind, ”Kid, no matter what, you must obtain this sword. This is the Cyan Frost Sword, one of the seven Ancient Divine Artifacts!”

The Sword Spirit’s voice left Chu Linfeng a bit bewildered. One of the seven Ancient Divine Artifacts, damn, what a story.

Chu Linfeng steadied his Heart Spirit, pretending not to know, he asked, ”I wonder how much this sword is selling for? I think it’s quite suitable for me!”

The vendor saw Chu Linfeng spoke sincerely, ”My name is Xue Jin Mountain, what’s yours?”

”Chu Linfeng!”

”You and I meeting here today is fate, so I’ll give you this sword. If I’m not mistaken, you should be from the Chu Family!” Xue Jin Mountain smiled.

”Then I thank Brother Xue. Let me use tea as wine to toast Brother Xue!” Chu Linfeng raised his teacup and drank it all.

Xue Jin Mountain, seeing Chu Linfeng’s enthusiasm, also raised his teacup and drank, ”Looks like my brother is straight and direct!”

After saying that, he handed the Iron Sword to Chu Linfeng, ”This sword may not be as simple as it appears, I hope my younger brother can uncover its secret, so all my efforts won’t be in vain.”

”Rest assured, Brother Xue, I surely will!” Chu Linfeng took the sword, his hands slightly trembling.

”Soon, it’s the time for recruits at Celestial Dragon Academy. What are your plans, my young brother?” Xue Jin Mountain suddenly changed the topic.

”I wish to enter Celestial Dragon Academy too, but the requirements are very demanding. I’ll do my best. What about you, Brother?” Chu Linfeng asked.

”I also plan to try my luck, see if I can get into the Swordsmith class...”

The two talked for most of the day, by the time Chu Linfeng reached home, it was already afternoon. Closing the door, he began to examine the Iron Sword carefully.

After a long time, he saw nothing of significance, aside from the rust. The only distinctive part was an unclear pattern at the hilt, which seemed to resemble the legendary Divine Dragon.

”Sword Spirit, is this the Ancient Divine Artifact you talked about? Why doesn’t it look like anything special? Are you trying to fool me?” Chu Linfeng said to himself.

He knew the Sword Spirit could clearly hear him, and the voice immediately came, ”You hillbilly, what do you know? This Cyan Frost Sword is ranked third among the Ancient Divine Artifacts, you’ve found a treasure without knowing it.”

Chu Linfeng had long been aware of the Sword Spirit’s vast knowledge and didn’t take the teasing to heart, ”Quickly tell me what’s going on. Why does this sword look this way?”

”From now on, don’t call me Sword Spirit, I have a name!” The Sword Spirit’s voice came.

”What should I call you then, Cat or Dog?”

”Get lost! My former master called me Yue’er, you can call me that too, but preferably add ’Sister’ afterward!”

”You’re female? Are Sword Spirits divided by gender?” Chu Linfeng almost choked on his saliva. The world truly is full of surprises.

Suddenly, a black line rose from Chu Linfeng’s forehead. That night with Lin Ruoxi, this creature must have seen it all. Oh, being seen by a woman is embarrassing to think about, who knows if she reacted.

”Kid, what nonsense are you thinking? I’m innocent and pure, don’t use your dirty thoughts to judge me. I know everything you think, so don’t try to fool me.” Sword Spirit Yue’er grew a little angry.

Chu Linfeng was greatly shocked, knowing even thoughts was terrifying, better treat her kindly, or there will be consequences.

”Strange? Back then, I and my master were incredibly glorious, alas...”

”Alas, what? Can you finish your sentences? I can’t stand people who keep others guessing. And why does your voice sound neither male nor female?” Chu Linfeng was getting frustrated.

”I’ll tell you later, many things you can’t grasp now. Just remember this; I’ve been searching for you for thousands of years; you have an extremely important mission.” Sword Spirit Yue’er slowly stated.

This time, the voice Chu Linfeng heard, like an oriole singing, was very pleasant, akin to the heavenly sound from a graceful maiden.

Chu Linfeng’s shock was indescribable, he was starting to accept that the Sword Spirit being female was a fact.

”Sister Yue’er, please quickly tell me why this Cyan Frost Sword has become this way now!” Chu Linfeng urgently desired the answer. A peerless Divine Weapon is a concept terrifying to think about.

”Since you called me Sister Yue’er, I will compassionately tell you. Ancient Divine Artifacts are heaven-defying existences, those who possess them were absolute powerhouses.

There are seven Ancient Divine Artifacts, ranked first is the Blood Emperor’s Demon Evil Sword, second is the Nether Venerable’s Netherworld Ghost Axe, third is this Cyan Frost Sword, the Green Frost Sect Master’s sword.” Sword Spirit Yue’er paused.

Chu Linfeng waited for a while without hearing what fourth was, he couldn’t help but ask, ”Why stop there? The Green Frost Sect Master sounds like it could be a woman, is she powerful?”

”Not particularly powerful, at most one swing can turn your current Liuyun City into ruins. And you’re mistaken, the Green Frost Sect Master is a man, a man whom all the powerhouses feared.”

It was the first time Chu Linfeng heard about the Ancient Times, feeling very excited, ”Tell me more specifically.”

”You’re not at that level yet; if you want to know, go to Canglan Ancient Land later. But now, the Cyan Frost Sword has obviously been sealed. Only by unlocking this seal can it reveal its true form, with power that can destroy heaven and earth!

But breaking the seal is too difficult. The Cyan Frost Sword has killed countless; the ferocity in its blade is strong, unless you find the Holy Jade Snow Lotus and Celestial Martial Divine Water, it’s nearly impossible.

Sword Spirit Yue’er’s words mentioned things Chu Linfeng had never heard of. Even the Library Pavilion’s books on rare treasures didn’t mention them, feeling truly like an ignorant child.
