Family Cultivation: I can see the prompts

238: Warning Notice, World Tao’s Feelings (2-in-1)Lin Shiming raised his head, and in the two candlelight flames, he vaguely saw a burly figure tapping iron.

He would sometimes smile, but mostly he was serious.

Occasionally, he would even joke with the younger generation.

Scene after scene flashed by, making Lin Shiming’s eyes well up.

The candles burned quickly, and Lin Shiming took two new candles from Fifth Uncle Lin Houyong’s hand, relighting the flames.

Lin Shiming suppressed the moisture in his eyes, his hands still trembling slightly.

He hadn’t expected that his last meeting with Lin Yutie would be a final farewell.

He learned from Lin Houyong.

Lin Yutie had passed away silently, unknown to anyone.

He chose an ordinary day, patrolled the entire Nanling Mountain as usual, gazed at Fangmu Mountain, and then looked at Shiling Cave; everything within his sight was Lin Family territory.

After smiling with satisfaction, he returned to his rocking chair while the sun was still out, continuing to examine the wooden sword and Jade Slip in his hand.

One moment, two moments!

No one knew when his spiritual power dissipated, nor when he sat in meditation and passed away on the spot.

It was just that at one point, crows landed on the treetops, making a commotion throughout Lingnan Mountain, and everyone pushed open their courtyards to look.

This Cultivator, who had dedicated most of his life to the Lin Family, reached his limit and passed away peacefully in the courtyard, in his rocking chair.

Unlike the Second Elder’s generous pursuit of the Dao, Fourth Elder Lin Yutie passed away silently.

He had spent most of his life refining artifacts for the Family, silently contributing, and in the end, he passed away alone, without any news spreading, unwilling to trouble the Family, and he didn’t even take that dragon blood pill... How could Lin Shiming not feel respect for such an Elder of the Family?

Especially that last meeting, Lin Yutie, trembling, gave the sword he had poured all his heart and soul into to Lin Shiming.

And not to his own son, Lin Houfei, nor to his closed-door Disciple, Lin Shizhong.

It was just Lin Shiming’s growth rate that left the latter feeling somewhat helpless, despite dedicating his entire life.

But for Lin Shiming, the latter had already helped him a lot, specially refining three High Grade Magical Artifacts for him, as well as the Azure Lotus Daoist Robe, which still greatly assists him to this day.

Beside him, Lin Shizhong was also teary-eyed at this moment; for him, Lin Yutie was not only the Lin Family’s Fourth Elder but also his biological Fourth Grandpa and his master. If not for Lin Yutie, let alone his current status as a second-tier High Grade Artifact Refiner, he might not even have reached the eighth level of Qi Refining cultivation.

”Shiming, this Jade Slip is what Fourth Uncle left for you all!” Lin Houyong walked out from the side and took out a Jade Slip.

Lin Shiming took the Jade Slip; a few clear lines of elegant script were written in the Jade Slip:

”Patriarch, by the time you see this Jade Slip, Fourth Grandpa should be gone. Fourth Grandpa broke his promise and couldn’t take that Medicinal Pill, but Fourth Grandpa is merely a withered body. How can he be worthy of wasting the Family’s Medicinal Pill? In this life, to be born into the Lin Family and to walk the path of Cultivation is already a great fortune!”

”It’s just a pity that even Fourth Grandpa’s most proud Artifact Refining couldn’t forge a suitable Magical Artifact for you. What a profound regret!”

”As for this Medicinal Pill, leave it for Shizhong. He only has Three Spiritual Roots. If he can’t Breakthrough, I hope the Patriarch can give him another chance. His Artifact Refining talent is above mine, and even above Houfei!”

”As for the Storage Pouch, I’ll have to trouble the Patriarch to bring it back to Fangmu Mountain for Houfei. If there are any talented individuals in my lineage, I hope the Patriarch can take good care of them!”

”By the way, I presume the Patriarch, at this moment, won’t mind Fourth Grandpa rambling a bit more!”

”Detailed Explanation of Array Instruments, use it as little as possible. This kind of high-intensity Artifact Refining and Alchemy not only overdraws a Cultivator’s Qi and blood but also aggravates the fire poison within the body!”

There weren’t many words in the Jade Slip, but it made Lin Shiming feel incredibly warm. This Cultivator of the Yu generation had dedicated his entire life to the Family.

Even after his passing, he was still concerned about these younger generations of the Lin Family.

The other contents in the Jade Slip were Lin Yutie’s final Artifact Refining insights left for Lin Shizhong and Lin Houfei.

These were his Artifact Refining insights before his death.

That’s right, even on the day before he passed away, this Fourth Elder of the Lin Family was still researching Artifact Refining.

The content of the Artifact Refining was to use the Family’s Gintetsu Crystal (Gold-Iron Crystal) and gold-iron stone to refine the Lin Family’s unique third-tier Flying Sword, the Golden Forest Sword.

Of course, the final warning also made Lin Shiming pause.

In fact, looking at Lin Yuqi, Lin Yutie, and even the current Lin Houxuan, they all correlate with this.

Although the Detailed Explanation of Array Instruments allows the Family to refine artifacts and pills beyond their normal tier, it also causes significant harm to the body.

Otherwise, Lin Houxuan would not have failed his Foundation Establishment, nor would he have been so dejected. Even Lin Shitao, with her Two Spiritual Roots, encountered considerable difficulties when attempting to Breakthrough to Foundation Establishment.

”Shizhong, this is Fourth Grandpa’s Artifact Refining insights for you, as well as the refining method for the third-tier High Grade Spiritual Artifact, the Iron Forest Sword. This is the Family’s future task for you. Of course, the Family will also prepare a Foundation Establishment Pill for you!” Lin Shiming handed the Jade Slip and the dragon blood pill to Lin Shizhong.

He had already given the dragon blood pill to Lin Yutie, who wanted to give it to Lin Shizhong.

He would naturally respect Lin Yutie’s last wish.

”I will not fail in this important task!” Lin Shizhong took a deep breath, rubbed his eyes, and spoke with extreme solemnity.

He opened the Jade Slip and looked at its contents, which were indeed the refining method for a third-tier High Grade Spiritual Sword named Golden Forest Sword.

The main materials were the Lin Family’s Gintetsu Crystal (Gold-Iron Crystal) and gold-iron stone!

The Jade Slip mentioned the Golden Forest Sword, not the Iron Forest Sword as Lin Shiming had said.

However, the name Iron Forest Sword really does sound better than Golden Forest Sword!

Lin Shiming mourned at Lingnan Mountain for a day. Early the next morning, Lin Shiming piloted a High Grade spirit boat, which expanded to its maximum size.

In front of the spirit boat was a coffin!

Lin Shiming was taking the Fourth Elder home!

The speed of the third-tier High Grade spirit boat was extremely fast, and in two days, they returned to the Lin Family’s Fangmu Mountain.

The vast clouds and mist dispersed, revealing an incredibly wide avenue.

And the full view of the entire Fangmu Mountain.

Almost all of the Lin Family, except for the Cultivators who were in seclusion to Breakthrough to Foundation Establishment, came out to greet them.

Lin Houfei, as the current head of the Weapon Crafting Hall, stood at the very front.

His face was covered in tears, yet he couldn’t help but smile, for the person before him was his father, and also the pride of the Lin Family.

A grand funeral was once again held on Fangmu Mountain.

At the same time, all the Cultivators on Fangmu Mountain mourned for the Fourth Elder.

Another wooden tablet was added to the Family’s ancestral hall.

That night, Lin Shiming stood alone in the pavilion by the Green Lotus Pond, sitting for the entire night.

The night was as cool as water, and the crescent moon hung like a hook.

Early the next morning, when the sun emerged from the mountains, a wisp of purple Qi shone upon Fangmu Mountain, and on that day, the clouds and mist dispersed.

And the Lin Family welcomed a new day.

In the Family’s deliberation hall, Lin Shiming, Lin Shitao, Lin Houyuan, Lin Yuzheng, and Lin Houfei gathered together.

Lin Shiming also shared his entire trip to Shuangmu Island with the other four.

Upon hearing about the Sea Cloud Bird and water spirit coconut, as well as the Mystic Water Turtle and Azure Armor Crab, everyone’s faces lit up with joy.

This Shuangmu Island not only provided the Lin Family with new development opportunities but also greatly alleviated the Family’s impending shortage of third-tier Magical Artifacts.

With the Azure Armor Crab’s shell, Gintetsu Crystal, and Sea Cloud Birds.

The Lin Family’s Foundation Establishment Cultivators will, in the future, not only lack third-tier defensive Spiritual Armor, third-tier offensive Magical Artifacts, but also third-tier Spirit Beasts.

The Beast Nurturing Pill of the Lin Family, as everyone present now knew, could greatly accelerate the growth of Spirit Beasts.

However, it consumed a large amount of resources, but for the now wealthy Lin Family, that amount of resources could still be afforded.

”Father, all these water spirit coconuts will be mixed with mingxin tea and placed in the Family’s Treasure Pavilion for Family Disciples to exchange. Half of the third-tier water spirit coconuts will be distributed among Foundation Establishment Cultivators; every Foundation Establishment Cultivator in the Family needs to be allocated some, as this can increase cultivation speed!”

”As for the remaining half, your son needs to prepare for the Mysterious Grade Secret Realm trip five years from now!” Lin Shiming said.

”We only need two-tenths; eight-tenths will go to you. Also, Seventh Grand Uncle has already sent a message; now, your Cultivation is the priority. The entire Family will focus on you for these five years!” Lin Houyuan immediately replied, though his eyes still showed concern.

The Lin Family sent Lin Shijie to guard Shuangmu Island, and Lin Xianzhi to oversee Shiling Cave and the Teleportation Array there. How could this not be to preserve Lin Shijie, after all, the latter has Two Spiritual Roots and is also a Sword Cultivator.

Upon hearing this, Lin Shiming pondered for a moment and then agreed, adding:

”Father, next, your son needs the Family to fully acquire the Bloodline of spirit monkey-type essence and mantis-type essence, as well as various Body Tempering spiritual liquids!”

The former three items will aid Lin Shiming’s two Spirit Beasts, while the latter will aid his own Body Cultivator cultivation.

Five years is too short for a Cultivator, and he had just Broken Through to the Foundation Establishment Middle Stage not long ago. To Breakthrough to the Late Foundation Establishment Stage, he would need at least twenty to thirty more years. Even daily consumption of Spirit Pills would be useless in five years.

”Additionally, I also need a third-tier Heavenly Wood Heart!” Lin Shiming spoke again.

This time he was also speaking to Lin Yuzheng, who was in charge of the Family’s Commerce Hall.

He was more informed about various Auction news.

If Yao Beast Bloodline essence was relatively easy to find, a third-tier Heavenly Wood Heart was even rarer.

And Lin Shiming was precisely refining the second Heavenly Wood Spirit Planting Secret Method.

The Heavenly Wood Spirit Planting Secret Method can refine two Heavenly Wood Hearts. His initial choice was the Wood Demon of the Mingxin Tea Tree. After it advanced to the third tier, he would extract its Wood Core.

However, it seems that the third-tier Mingxin Tea Tree has not fully formed yet, not to mention its immense potential, so he naturally cannot extract its Heavenly Wood Heart.

”Shitao, your Alchemy Hall no longer needs to refine third-tier Mianyang Pills. For the next few years, focus on mass-producing Beast Nurturing Pills. Also, the Alchemy Hall needs to greatly increase its refining, but it must be kept secret. This matter cannot be known by the Spirit Beast Sect!” Lin Shiming spoke again.

He now had three Spirit Beasts and eighty-one Spirit Devouring Ants.

The Jin Chi (Golden Wings) Mantis and the Red-haired Demon Monkey could both consume Beast Nurturing Pills in large quantities, especially after undergoing their second Bloodline Restoration, their need for Beast Nurturing Pills would also increase. At the same time, Lin Shiming would not be stingy with the water spirit coconut and Dragon Blood Grass he had obtained over the years.

These treasures could all enhance the strength of the two beasts.

As for those Spirit Devouring Ants, they naturally also needed a large quantity of Beast Nurturing Pills. If they had enough Beast Nurturing Pills, they would refine all the Wind Fire Star Sand and successfully mutate.

Even if the zijin gourd lost its function at that time, they could still provide him with tremendous help at critical moments.

On the other hand, he didn’t hold out much hope for the Snake Egg with the half-dragon Bloodline. Even if it hatched and even with Beast Nurturing Pills, it would probably take at least several decades to fully grow into a fighting force!

”Alright!” Lin Shitao also nodded in agreement.

”Eighth Uncle!” Lin Shiming looked at Lin Houfei again, the newly appointed head of the Lin Family’s Weapon Crafting Hall.

”Patriarch, you say, the Weapon Crafting Hall will absolutely exert its utmost effort!”

”Eighth Uncle, when Grand Uncle returns, he will bring back a large amount of yuan magnetic stone. yuan magnetic stone is different from ordinary spiritual materials. Even refining it into a simple Magical Artifact prototype will take at least three to four years, and the Family’s earth fire might not be able to support refining other Magical Artifacts!”

”Patriarch, this matter is fine. It’s only three years. As for not being able to refine other Magical Artifacts, the Lin Family has stored quite a few Magical Artifacts over the years, and Artifact Refiners have also become more numerous with support. Even if we don’t refine for three years, there will be no problem!” Lin Houfei replied with full confidence, without any hesitation!

”That’s good. Shiming thanks all the Elders here!” Lin Shiming breathed a sigh of relief, and at the same time, he remembered Lin Yutie’s words:

”By the way, Shitao, Eighth Uncle, in the future, the Detailed Explanation of Array Instruments must be used sparingly. Also, any Cultivator who wishes to learn the Detailed Explanation of Array Instruments in the future must undergo scrutiny by all the Foundation Establishment Elders!”

Lin Houfei and Lin Shitao, who had both used the Detailed Explanation of Array Instruments, naturally knew its dangers and nodded their heads.

After all the instructions were given, Lin Shiming also breathed a sigh of relief. The advantage of having a Family was right here.

He would also have ample resources and time to Cultivate next.

Lin Shiming then handed the Spirit Splitting Art and the Bloodline Ancestral Return Secret Method to Lin Houyuan, asking him to place them in the Family’s Treasure Pavilion.

The Family’s Foundation Establishment Cultivators could also Cultivate them.

And for the next five years, he would not manage any of the Lin Family’s miscellaneous affairs, focusing solely on improving himself.

As for all the necessary resources and spiritual items, they would be delivered to Lin Shiming one by one by the Family’s Cultivators.

After the meeting, everyone dispersed.

Finally, only Lin Houyuan and Lin Shitao remained. Lin Houyuan naturally wanted to say a few words to his son.

But upon seeing Lin Shitao, he smiled and walked out, leaving only Lin Shiming and Lin Shitao:

”Seventh Brother, these are the third-tier Mianyang Pills and Beast Nurturing Pills refined during this period!” Lin Shitao handed all the Medicinal Pills to Lin Shiming.

Lin Shiming also thanked him one by one.

Then Lin Shitao took a deep breath:

”Seventh Brother, please Cultivate with peace of mind. Whether Seventh Brother is willing or not, Shitao is willing to explore the Dao with you and be your Alchemist alone!”

”The supply of Mianyang Pills will not be interrupted, and the quantity of Beast Nurturing Pills will also be guaranteed. The Alchemy Hall is much more powerful than Seventh Brother imagines!”

”And please, Seventh Brother, after your Secret Realm trip, be sure to come back!”

Lin Shitao’s words, surprisingly, did not cause her to blush. She spoke with resolute determination, clearly having made a great decision!

And she was praying wholeheartedly!

Lin Shiming was momentarily stunned, and a wave of emotion surged through him again.

He was not a wooden person; how could he not understand Lin Shitao’s feelings?

His previous ambiguity was also due to his concerns about the Great Dao.

But at this moment, Lin Shiming was also deeply moved.

And if he had a large quantity of Mianyang Pills, although five years would not be enough to Breakthrough to the Late Foundation Establishment Stage, it was still possible to make a significant leap forward on the path of Foundation Establishment Middle Stage!

--- --- Digression --- ---

Emotional scenes are very difficult to write. The humble author is truly afraid of not being able to write the Fourth Grandpa in my heart. I’ve been writing for a whole day and am only posting it now. Looking back, I’m quite satisfied with myself. This is my first time writing a book, and I hope everyone can give more support and some monthly votes.
