Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 137: Chapter 118: Golden Deer’s Ear, Iron Armor Turtle Marquis

Not only that, but he also caught the eye of the Ironblood Duke and was transferred from the City Guard to the Duke’s Personal Guard.

To anyone else, being moved from an officer in the City Guard to a mere member of the Personal Guard would have been seen as a demotion.

But for George Banks, it meant a chance to advance to Great Knight.

Thanks to his meticulous approach, he received a life-changing opportunity within a few years of joining the Personal Guard.

At the behest of the Ironblood Duke, he completed a mission that would have been a death sentence for a Peak Knight.

The rest was simple.

Upon completing the mission and returning to Iron Blood Castle, he was rewarded by the Ironblood Duke. He received an Excellent Level Universal Breathing Technique: the Blood Bat Breathing Method.

After switching to the Blood Bat Breathing Method, he successfully advanced to Great Knight. He went from being a member of the Personal Guard to becoming the Cold-blooded Executioner who did the Ironblood Duke’s dirty work.

Eight years ago, when he was already a Bronze Great Knight, the Ironblood Duke granted him the title of Count. The day before his forty-fifth birthday, this commoner became a noble.

Most people, upon becoming a Count, would have started to enjoy life. But not George Banks.

After becoming the Blood Bat Count, he used various methods, both overt and covert, to annex the territories of many Royal Nobles.

When the territory under his control reached the standard for a Marquis Domain, the Ironblood Duke elevated his rank from Count to Marquis.

Although he had only been a Marquis for three short years, he had already shattered the Iron Armor Turtle Marquis’s sole dominance over Noson Province, creating a stalemate where the two were evenly matched.

After the four Dukes launched their rebellion, George Banks, on the Ironblood Duke’s orders, began a campaign to eradicate all the Royal Nobles in Noson Province.

Initially, the campaign went smoothly; noble families loyal to the Royal Family were wiped out one after another.

However, when the Royal Army arrived in Noson Province, the tables began to turn.

The vassal families loyal to the Ironblood Duke and the Blood Bat Marquis came under a relentless assault from the Royal Army.

To make matters worse, the Iron Armor Turtle Marquis had his troops join the Royal Army. He spared no effort in providing them with necessary supplies, assisting the Eldest Prince in taking control of the entire Noson Province.

After deciding to get his hands on the Inheritance Map for the Iron Armor Turtle Breathing Method, Roy had Tony gather intelligence on the situation in Noson Province. He now understood the current balance of power and had already decided what he would offer in trade.

Killing was what he did best.

And as it happened, the Blood Bat Marquis was the very person the Iron Armor Turtle Marquis most wanted dead.

If the Iron Armor Turtle Marquis was willing to hand over the Inheritance Map for the Iron Armor Turtle Breathing Method, Roy wouldn’t hesitate to trade the Blood Bat Marquis’s life for it.

About twenty minutes later, Iron Armor Turtle Castle came into view.

He did not enter Iron Armor Turtle Castle immediately, instead heading into Chaos Square.

Only after donning the armor and mask of the Dark Night Knight did he emerge from Chaos Square and head straight for the main gate of Iron Armor Turtle Castle.

Soon, he arrived before the main gate of Iron Armor Turtle Castle.

Before the Knights guarding the gate could speak, he announced, ”I am here to see the Iron Armor Turtle Marquis.”

”If the Lord Marquis is in the castle, please inform him of my arrival.”

Although he had never been to Iron Armor Turtle Castle before, the Official Knights and soldiers near the gate quickly recognized him as the Dark Night Knight.

After sizing him up, an Official Knight who was likely a squad leader replied, ”The Lord Marquis is in the castle. Please wait here for a moment.”

With that, the Official Knight sent a man to the main keep to announce the visitor.

Roy said nothing, simply standing calmly before the gate to wait.

Before long, the Iron Armor Turtle Marquis, a man in his early fifties, arrived at the castle gate with an entourage.

Upon seeing the Iron Armor Turtle Marquis and his party, Roy immediately furrowed his brow.

’What is she doing here?’
