Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 130: Chapter 116: Respect the Old and Love the Young, Knight VS Wizard

Just as the orange-red Fireball was about to hit him, he casually took half a step to the right.

He had thought that would be enough to dodge the orange-red Fireball.

However, it turned out he had somewhat underestimated the Fireball Technique.

After he moved, the orange-red Fireball, which had been flying straight, changed its trajectory into an arc and continued to bear down on him.

’It has a locking function?’

’Interesting!’

Although he hadn’t expected the Fireball Technique to have an auto-locking feature, Roy wasn’t flustered at all. In fact, he was even more delighted.

Without any hesitation, he abruptly circulated his Fighting Qi and, in the blink of an eye, reappeared ten to twenty meters away.

At the same time, the orange-red Fireball changed its trajectory again, continuing its pursuit.

Before the orange-red Fireball could get close, Roy vanished once more.

This time, he reappeared over a hundred meters away.

Just as he was expecting the orange-red Fireball to keep tracking him like a missile, it suddenly burst in midair like a firework, dissolving into a shower of large and small sparks before disappearing.

’Did I get out of its tracking range?’

Seeing the orange-red Fireball explode, Roy’s first thought was that he had moved beyond the Fireball Technique’s tracking range, so Thomas had detonated it intentionally.

He was half right.

Thomas had indeed detonated the Fireball intentionally.

However, it wasn’t because he had exceeded the Fireball Technique’s tracking range, but because he had exceeded Thomas’s *locking* range.

The Fireball Technique didn’t possess an automatic enemy tracking ability.

The reason it had continuously changed its flight path was purely because Thomas was controlling it.

After Thomas detonated the orange-red Fireball, Roy calmly walked back to his Fighting Qi Destruction Sword, raised his right hand, and gestured for Thomas to continue.

Unsurprisingly, his condescending ”courtesy” was once again taken by Thomas as a humiliation.

Suppressing the rage in his heart, Thomas began constructing a Magic Model.

Time trickled by.

Five or six minutes passed in a flash.

During those five or six minutes, Roy kept his promise, giving Thomas enough time to construct his Magic Models.

Thomas did not disappoint, casting every spell he knew one by one.

Acid Rain Technique, Scorching Beam, Vine Whip Technique.

In addition to the five Magic techniques that had appeared in his Spiritual Warning visions, Thomas also cast two spells Roy had never seen before.

Spiritual Shock!

And Elemental Missile!

Although Thomas cast quite a few spells, none of them managed to harm Roy.

The only one that had a chance of hurting him, Spiritual Shock, was easily blocked thanks to his Dragon Mighty.

After even the Spiritual Shock failed, Thomas knew he had no way to deal with Roy.

When Thomas began to repeat the same spells, Roy, holding his Fighting Qi Destruction Sword, stopped wasting time and instantly appeared in front of him.

CHKK!

The Fighting Qi Destruction Sword sliced off Thomas’s right hand as if it were cutting through a cream cake.

The second Semi-Transparent Shield Thomas had used to protect himself had already been shattered by Roy in their previous exchange.

Realizing that casting the Shield Technique was just a waste of Spiritual Power and Mana, Thomas didn’t cast it again to protect himself.

Although Thomas looked like he didn’t have much Spiritual Power or Mana left to cast Magic, Roy still cut off his right hand to be safe.

’Intense pain can effectively reduce a Wizard Apprentice’s control over their Spiritual Power and Mana!’

”The ’respecting your elders’ part is over!”

”If you don’t want to experience unnecessary torture before you die, you know what to do next.”

Roy said to Thomas.

”What do you want to know?”

Thomas clutched the stump of his right arm and said quickly.

”What was your payment from the Ironblood Duke?”

Roy watched Thomas with a calm expression.

”Twenty thousand Gold Coins and a promise.”

Thomas replied.

”What promise?”

Roy continued to ask.

”Once he establishes his Duchy, he will make me the Duchy’s Guardian...”

At this point, Thomas paused. A thought occurred to him, and he continued, ”The twenty thousand Gold Coins and the promise of being the Duchy’s Guardian were both payment for assassinating the Dark Night Knight. You were just a bonus.”

”To put it simply, assassinating you was free. You don’t—”

Before Thomas could finish, an expression of immense pain appeared on his face.

Without any hesitation, Roy cut off his left hand.

”I ask, you answer!”

”Understood?”

Roy said coldly, looking at Thomas.
