Cultivation is just so scientific!

Chapter 1947: Chapter 1020: Artifact Refining

The Ten Thousand Beast Sect has recovered from the state of war, and the mountain gate is decorated with lanterns and streamers, with smiles on every cultivator’s face.

Because the ancestor of Ten Thousand Beast Sect, Li Shiming, has returned, and he has returned as a great ability. From today onwards, the Ten Thousand Beast Sect becomes a super-power.

Some of the elder cultivators had tears in their eyes. After so many years, the Ten Thousand Beast Sect has finally leaped to become a super-power. So many years of effort from the cultivators have not been in vain.

The healed Grandmaster Hu has returned to the mountain gate of Ten Thousand Beast Sect and will preside over the grand ascension ceremony of the Ten Thousand Beast Sect to become a super sect.

By then, representatives from all the super-powers in the Cultivation World will be present, making it a grand gathering.

However, none of this concerns Li Shiming. After reaching the Mahayana Realm, he no longer needs to worry about such ordinary affairs.

As long as no great ability comes to visit, other cultivators are not worth his attention.

Li Shiming has his matters to attend to. He is currently preparing, with the help of IBMz15, to refine his own Fifth Grade Spiritual Treasure.

His mastery of the Five Elements Rules, Thunder Rules, Space Rules, and Sword Intent Rules has all reached the level of great ability, giving him the capability to refine a Fifth Grade Spiritual Treasure.

He does not wish to use Fifth Grade Refining Materials with the old refining techniques, which although would result in a Spiritual Treasure, would not be at the level of a great ability’s Spiritual Treasure.

Just like some of the Spiritual Treasures he is currently using, they will gradually be phased out once better replacements are found.

The Spiritual Treasures refined from fourth-grade materials have powers that are almost the weakest among Spiritual Treasures, and they are gradually unable to keep up with his strength.

If he still lived in this Cultivation World, then the original Spiritual Treasures would be sufficient.

But his ambitions have long surpassed this place. He plans to leave the Ten Thousand Beast Sect to seek his own opportunities after nurturing an inheritor great ability for the sect.

The first Spiritual Treasure Li Shiming wants to refine is the ‘Heavenly Strike Thunder Hammer.’

The refining of the ‘Heavenly Strike Thunder Hammer’ is extremely familiar to him.

His lifebound treasure, the ‘Heavenly Strike Thunder Hammer’, has been replaced twice, from a fourth-grade material refined ‘Heavenly Strike Thunder Hammer’ to a lifebound Spiritual Treasure ‘Heavenly Strike Thunder Hammer’ seized from a great ability of the Yuqing Sect, plus he also practiced the ‘Yuqing Thunder Scripture’, making the ‘Heavenly Strike Thunder Hammer’ his most familiar treasure.

In the chamber space, the fifth-grade Pill Furnace ‘Hundred Herbs Furnace’ is placed at the center of the chamber.

Due to the needs of artifact refining, the size of the ‘Hundred Herbs Furnace’ has to be enlarged to a certain degree, taking up most of the chamber space.

He releases a flame, which is exactly the fifth-grade ‘Infinite Immortal Fire’, his strongest flame.

A tiny flame rises from the ‘Hundred Herbs Furnace’, appearing extremely weak, as if it could extinguish at any moment.

But do not underestimate this ‘Infinite Immortal Fire’; the fifth-grade Immortal Fire possesses terrifying might.

Li Shiming takes a long breath, mobilizing Cave Heaven Energy, which he transforms into Fire Energy and channels into the ‘Infinite Immortal Fire’ in the ‘Hundred Herbs Furnace’.

Almost instantly, as the Fire Energy enters the ‘Infinite Immortal Fire’, it surges up from a flame state.

Li Shiming retrieves the ‘Banana Treasure Fan’ into the chamber space. His mind controls the ‘Banana Treasure Fan’ to fan the ‘Hundred Herbs Furnace’.

The quality of the ‘Infinite Immortal Fire’ is forcibly elevated by a sub-grade due to the influence of the ‘Banana Treasure Fan’ and becomes easier to control.

Only then does he take out the fifth-grade Thunder Refining Material and sends it into the ‘Hundred Herbs Furnace’.

The ‘Infinite Immortal Fire’ scorches the fifth-grade Thunder Refining Material, and he maintains the injection of Fire Energy into the ‘Infinite Immortal Fire’.

Thus, day after day passes, with the fifth-grade Thunder Refining Material softening at an extremely slow pace.

There is no alternative; fifth-grade materials are the strongest in this world, needing the essence of a world to nurture them, and each small world can produce only one piece of fifth-grade material.

Fifth-grade materials are extremely precious because each great ability can only nurture one piece of fifth-grade material.

And most great abilities will use this piece of fifth-grade material to refine their lifebound Spiritual Treasure and will not leave the fifth-grade material behind.

Only very few pieces of fifth-grade material flow out into the outside world, left behind by inheritor great abilities with inheritance Spiritual Treasures, allowing their cultivated fifth-grade materials to be available.

However, truly powerful great abilities definitely would not do this.

Only the fifth-grade materials they cultivate themselves can one hundred percent match with their owner, with a stronger power when refined into a lifebound Spiritual Treasure.

Moreover, a lifebound Spiritual Treasure can, to a certain extent, increase cultivation speed, with more powerful lifebound Spiritual Treasures having better effects.

Using the obtained fifth-grade Thunder Refining Material to refine the ‘Heavenly Strike Thunder Hammer’ is actually a waste for Li Shiming.

He has plans to cultivate his own fifth-grade materials; he just doesn’t want to wait such a long time.

But to a normal great ability, a few hundred years are not long.

To know that to refine a Fifth Grade Spiritual Treasure, without mentioning the time to cultivate fifth-grade materials, just the refinement of a Fifth Grade Spiritual Treasure also requires an extremely long time.

For a lifebound Spiritual Treasure, it’s normal for a great ability to take hundreds of years to accomplish it.

Li Shiming, using the acquired fifth-grade Thunder Refining Material to create a temporary ‘Heavenly Strike Thunder Hammer’, took half a year just to soften the fifth-grade Thunder Material.

This is considered an extremely fast speed, with the top-grade dual-use furnace ‘Hundred Herbs Furnace’, alongside the fifth-grade ‘Infinite Immortal Fire’, aided by the ‘Banana Treasure Fan’ elevating the ‘Infinite Immortal Fire’ by a sub-grade.
