Cultivation is just so scientific!

Chapter 643: Chapter 368 Conspiracy

Jieshan Mountain Pass experienced several trade interruptions, with the Senluo Sect sometimes using the excuse of problems with the goods to detain what should have been normal passage of merchandise.

At other times, it was the Righteous Path that detained goods, causing the relationship between the two sides to reach a freezing point in a short time.

Especially the businesses associated with Qianye Temple, their goods were scrutinized extremely rigorously.

While not every shipment related to Qianye Temple was detained by the Senluo Sect, the passing of their goods was no longer as smooth as before.

For Qianye Temple, this was a loss.

Of course, the goods of the other major sects encountered trouble as well, just not as frequently as Qianye Temple.

As a result, the tense relationship between the Righteous Path’s Golden Core cultivators Mr. Ying, Xin Tong, and the Wisdom Light Arhat eased slightly due to a shared enemy.

Eventually, this mutually harmful behavior led to dissent within both the Senluo Sect and the three major Righteous Path sects, with several major sects sending orders requesting negotiations.

It naturally fell upon the Golden Core Elders stationed here to undertake this negotiation.

One day, Li Yuanba received the notification early and made his way to Jieshan Mountain Pass. He met with Jiang Pu and three other Golden Core Elders, leaving the pass to enter the buffer zone.

“Junior Li, this time we’ll hold back Mr. Ying and Xin Tong, and you’ll take out the Wisdom Light Arhat with utmost speed!” Jiang Pu communicated to Li Yuanba using spiritual power.

This was a plan that had already been agreed upon, so Li Yuanba had no objections.

As for Qianye Temple’s actions this time, he had also seen through their schemes.

Just last night, nine Arhats had quietly entered the Righteous Gate without the knowledge of neither Mr. Ying nor Xin Tong, who were guarding it.

The reason Li Yuanba knew this was because the unmanned satellite system had been monitoring the situation.

Although it was night, the nine Arhats had been tracked by Li Shiming’s unmanned satellite system from the moment they left Qianye Temple.

After learning of this, Li Yuanba was not particularly worried.

Although the nine Arhats were numerous, with his combat power, if he could not defeat them, he could certainly escape. Besides, the large formation was very close; as long as he wasn’t subdued instantly, he would have time to return to the range of the large formation, using its power to protect himself.

“I will make my move with all my effort!” Li Yuanba used spiritual power to communicate his response.

They reached the midpoint of the buffer zone first, waiting for the arrival of the cultivators from the Righteous Path.

Li Yuanba couldn’t help but be surprised by Qianye Temple’s tactics. He knew that the nine Arhats were already nearby, but the unmanned satellite system couldn’t detect any trace of them.

“They’re here!” Jiang Pu warned in a low voice.

From the Righteous Gate, Mr. Ying led the way, with Xin Tong and the Wisdom Light Arhat following behind.

The Wisdom Light Arhat, despite showing no change in expression upon seeing Li Yuanba, had a flash of surprise in his eyes.

Qianye Temple had paid a significant price for this operation.

By coming to Jieshan Mountain Pass, he had almost offended all the forces there.

He had cut off all the local forces’ revenue streams; if not for the support of Qianye Temple, he would probably have been killed by now.

Even so, that wouldn’t make his troubles any less significant, as each force would continue to cause him issues in the days to come.

However, it would all be worth it if they could capture Li Yuanba.

Li Yuanba possessed two Divine Skills inheritances from Qianye Temple: the Divine Foot Skill and Telepathy. Moreover, there were suspicions that Li Yuanba was a reincarnation of a great Buddhist figure, all reasons why Qianye Temple would never let him go.

As part of the Buddhist Sect, Qianye Temple would not allow the reincarnation of a Buddhist figure to join the Demon Sect.

Currently, Li Yuanba had not awakened his past life’s memories, making it the most susceptible period for influence; Qianye Temple needed to bring Li Yuanba back to the temple and use Buddhist teachings to return him to the Buddhist path.

In order to avoid alarming Li Yuanba, they had waited a long time since their last action against him.

“Mr. Ying, we meet again!” Jiang Pu greeted Mr. Ying.

Although it had already been privately agreed to take out the problematic Wisdom Light Arhat, they still had to go through the formalities.

“Jiang, your actions were a bit excessive, causing us great losses!” Mr. Ying said gravely.

“Same goes for both sides. Considering how many of our goods you’ve intercepted, we’re just returning the favor!” Jiang Pu replied with a smile.

“Then let’s follow the rules, the one with the bigger fist is right. But you’ve brought four people, which is against the rules!” Mr. Ying pointed out, referring to Li Yuanba.

“Shi won’t take action, we’re only three!” Jiang Pu waved his hand.

“Wisdom Light Arhat, what do you say?” Mr. Ying turned to ask the Wisdom Light Arhat.

Their relationship had eased, but it wasn’t one of mutual trust.

“My temple has some unresolved issues with Mr. Li. How about I deal with Mr. Li?” The Wisdom Light Arhat, as if unaware of the conspiracy at hand, looked indifferently at Li Yuanba.

With one step, Li Yuanba lunged toward the Wisdom Light Arhat.

This move surprised all the cultivators present; they hadn’t expected him to strike so suddenly, without wasting a single word.

But Mr. Ying and Xin Tong, the two Golden Core Elders of the Righteous Path, did not intervene. This was something they had agreed upon. Besides, since the Wisdom Light Arhat had actively requested to fight Li Yuanba, Li Yuanba’s actions were completely justified.

The Wisdom Light Arhat’s eyes flashed with doubt, aware that Li Yuanba was a Sword Cultivator, so he had always been on guard against Li Yuanba’s flying sword.
