At ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍this moment, True Lord Feixue seemed to have gained a firm foothold on a rank transcending that of ordinary True Lords. Her late-stage Golden Core cultivation was now unstoppable.

Moreover, ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍unlike the Sword Pavilion’s 【Sturdy Path-Preaching True Lord】, the three Fruit Positions chosen by True Lord Feixue did not conflict with one another. In fact, they even bore complementary meanings—【Mulberry-Cudrania Wood】 was most auspicious upon seeing 【Overturning Lamp Fire】, could rely upon 【Water Beneath the Ravine】, and 【Overturning Lamp Fire】 meeting 【Water Beneath the Ravine】 also brought noble energy.

“Rumble—!”

In that instant, even with the Supreme rank of 【Heavenly Flame Above】, Lü Yang still felt an indescribably immense pressure in front of True Lord Feixue.

Immediately afterward, he saw True Lord Feixue open her eyes once more.

“Phew!”

A vast aura retracted, and she once again appeared in the elegant form of a classical lady. Yet compared to before, she now exuded an even more transcendent and ethereal air.

Lü Yang rose on his own and cupped his hands. “Congratulations to Senior for your success.”

True Lord Feixue returned the gesture, then examined Lü Yang carefully before smiling. “It seems Fellow Daoist has already gained some insight into your future path.”

“I must thank Senior for the guidance.”

With that, Lü Yang took a deep breath and continued, “Besides inquiring about the Great Tribulation, this time I also wish to propose a trade with Senior.”

“You want the Myriad Martial Realm, don’t you.”

True Lord Feixue showed a look of complete expectation—it was clear she wasn’t one to act brashly. Although she specialized in combat, her comprehension of the Dao of Karma was equally profound.

“Chong Guang once gathered qi from the Myriad Martial Realm. Later, you helped him attain the Fruit Position of 【Overturning Lamp Fire】, so he gave all the qi he had collected to you, assisting you in cultivating the 『Heaven-Ruling Unified Divine Law of Qiantian』, which corresponds to the Myriad Martial Realm. Now that your technique is complete, it wouldn’t be impossible for you to attempt refining it as your own.”

At those words, Lü Yang’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Only attempt?”

“Correct. Only an attempt. It may not succeed!”

True Lord Feixue laughed. “If it were that easy to refine, our Saint Sect would have produced an External Dao True Lord long ago. How could it be allowed to drift outside for so long?”

“After all, the outer heavens are vast. Realms of this kind exist in abundance.”

“External Dao Fruit Positions differ from Fruit Position Prototypes. They’re not so easy to refine. Normally, only native cultivators who resonate with the Fruit Position can refine them.”

“Forcible refinement often results in mutual destruction.”

“There are many intricacies involved... However, correspondingly, if you succeed, you can indeed rapidly bolster your Dao cultivation.”

True Lord Feixue’s words served as a reminder to Lü Yang.

‘Come to think of it, in my previous life, it took nearly all True Lords of the world to subdue the External Dao Fruit Position of that minor Xuanling Realm.’

‘Yet this time, only the Sword Pavilion has made a move. It’s unlikely they can devour the Fruit Position as quickly as in my previous life. At most, they’ll raise it like the Myriad Martial Realm and slowly consume it bit by bit... In other words, the Fruit Position of the Xuanling Realm might still be in the hands of the Sword Pavilion!’

That was actually good news.

Collecting his thoughts, Lü Yang’s expression turned serious. “I ask Senior for your help. I am willing to give it a try. If you need anything in return, I shall do my utmost to fulfill it.”

“Really?”

Upon hearing this, True Lord Feixue chuckled lightly. “The Great Tribulation draws near. I must reach my peak as soon as possible. Soon, I will attempt to modify my Supreme Position.”

“At that time, I want you to aid my cultivation.”

“This—” Lü Yang looked troubled.

After pondering for a moment, he revealed a look as if willing to die alongside a lunatic and gritted his teeth. “If Senior helps me, I shall also give you my all!”

Only then did True Lord Feixue smile with satisfaction.

“Good!”

Sacred Fire Cliff, Tongtian Hall.

Lü Yang had been here before during his Foundation Establishment. It was said to be a supreme treasure refined by the Saint Sect’s Patriarch. As its name implied, it possessed the power to pierce through realms and connect to all heavens.

“Greetings, True Lord Qingcheng Feixue!”

No sooner had Lü Yang and True Lord Feixue arrived before Tongtian Hall than a cute little Dao child with rosy lips and white teeth came skipping out in small steps.

Immediately, without a word, the Dao child knelt to the ground—not at all as arrogant as in previous lives. Instead, he wore a flattering and fawning smile: “Congratulations to the True Lord on your breakthrough. Surely, you shall soon alter your Supreme Position, receive the decree of Heaven, attain Nascent Soul, and preserve your true nature...”

After this barrage of flattery, the Dao child finally looked toward Lü Yang.

Then, with a turn of his eyes—it was clear he had never seen Lü Yang in the Saint Sect and had no impression of him—he promptly rose with a flick of his sleeve and said coldly:

“And this is?”

Seeing this, Lü Yang cupped his hands. “I am Lü Yang.”

As he spoke, he released his karma. Almost instantly, the previously indifferent Dao child felt as if a blazing sun had suddenly appeared before him.

‘That’s 【Heavenly Flame Above】... huh!?’

In the next second, the Dao child, who had just stood up, knelt down again with a thump. The cold look on his face vanished, replaced by a fawning and passionate smile:

“Greetings, True Lord of Imperial Fate Command!”

Then came another wave of flattery: “Congratulations to the True Lord on attaining the Golden Position. May you seek the Dao with gold in hand, elevate immortal arts to the utmost, entrust your thoughts to Heaven and Earth, and ascend to boundlessness!”

Wow, not a single repeated word!

Lü Yang remembered—when he had traveled to the Myriad Martial Realm, this Dao child had even tried to extort a bribe from him. Yet now, he was acting like this—truly a bully to the weak and a bootlicker to the strong.

No wonder it was a treasure refined by the Patriarch!

True Lord Feixue chuckled softly. “Send Fellow Daoist Lü on a trip to the 【Myriad Martial Realm】. I’ve just broken through and need time to stabilize my cultivation, so I won’t be accompanying him.”

“This humble one obeys!”

The Dao child immediately nodded and then pulled out a brush to begin drawing. In the next moment, Lü Yang felt a familiar power descend upon him.

Lü Yang immediately suppressed his aura and offered no resistance.

“Boom!”

In a flash, Lü Yang felt as if he had plunged into a void. After a long while, he regained clarity and was surrounded by boundless resplendent light.

【Yin-Yang Genesis Light of Life and Death】!

The Outer Heavens Sea of Light!

Lü Yang lowered his gaze and spotted a profound cave amidst the sea of light. Though not as vast as some abyssal place, its scale was still tremendous.

‘Last time I entered the Myriad Martial Realm, I was sent directly into the inner realm. This time, I landed in the Outer Heavens Sea of Light. Is it because the True Lord’s mass is too great?’

Lü Yang pondered inwardly.

But just then, his brow twitched. “This is...”

Where his gaze fell, a melodious chant suddenly echoed from within the Myriad Martial Realm, accompanied by rings of blazing Buddhist light!

‘Buddhist cultivators? Are they attaining the External Dao!?’

For a moment, Lü Yang was dumbfounded.

Could it be that his fate truly clashed with that of the Pure Land Buddhist cultivators?

How could he run into this too?

‘Now that I think about it, the 【Myriad Martial Realm】 isn’t solely controlled by the Saint Sect. The Pure Land had also gotten involved. But even so... to encounter me right at this moment?’

With this thought, Lü Yang’s eyes sharpened.

Not only that—he had arrived precisely at the moment they were attempting to attain the External Dao Fruit Position of the Myriad Martial Realm. This coincidence was already bordering on contrivance.

Was it truly just that he happened to arrive?

Or were they waiting for his arrival to begin the attempt?

Something felt... off!
