Struggling to Survive with Regression Power in the Primordial Saint Sect

Vast waves of Buddhist light surged forth from the heaven-filling and earth-shattering sword qi, flooding like a dam bursting, brimming through the sea of clouds, splitting heaven and earth into two halves, rendering all of creation void and dim.

In that instant, all fell silent.

Even in the skies above, the battle between the Jia You Emperor and the Old Dragon Lord came to a halt, both casting shocked glances toward Lü Yang.

‘She was actually killed.’

‘No matter what, the Essence-Holding Treasure Lotus Bodhisattva is still the nominal sect master of the Pure Land Buddhist Cultivators. Moreover, she even cultivated a Dao-seeking Immortal Method—yet even so, she could still be killed.’

Inconceivable!

But the next second, with the reverberation of a solemn ching! of a bell and chime, in an ordinary household in Jiangxi, a newborn baby girl opened her eyes.

“Amitabha.”

The Buddhist proclamation echoed like thunder. The shattered Buddhist light instantly reformed. The infant girl landed and matured, regaining the form of the 【Essence-Holding Treasure Lotus Bodhisattva】. Her aura remained at its peak—aside from the ashen expression on her alluring face, not even a single thread of her cultivation or Fruit Position was lost!

Seeing this, Lü Yang could not help but sigh.

‘Mid-Golden Core stage, with an intact Cave Heaven—it’s still too difficult to kill.’

That earth-shaking strike had drained nearly sixty percent of his mana. And at his level, his mana was already bound to his soul and metallic essence.

Given time, recovery would only take a moment.

But in a duel of magical might, with clashing auras, how could there be time to calmly regulate one’s breath and restore mana? Striking while one’s opponent is weak is only natural!

—He couldn’t win.

At that moment, Lü Yang clearly realized the truth: even though he had attained the Supreme Fruit Position, his strength capable of contending with a mid-Golden Core True Lord…

Even managing to gain the upper hand, or kill the opponent once…

Ultimately, it was still a fleeting victory. So long as the opponent’s Cave Heaven remained intact, death—even multiple deaths—meant nothing.

‘And I can’t even interfere with her Cave Heaven!’

The Cave Heaven of a mid-Golden Core cultivator was completely hidden within their Fruit Position. Even the 【Heavenly Inscription Seal】 couldn’t touch it, let alone forcefully tear it down.

Unless—

‘…Unless I had the cultivation of 【Ang Xiao】, the Fruit Position and Dao attainment of a late-Golden Core expert—only then might I be able to forcibly rip open her Fruit Position and slay her.’

At this thought, Lü Yang couldn’t help but recall True Lord Feixue’s absurd battle records: just a hundred years after attaining the Dao, she had fought a mid-Golden Core True Lord to the death—and killed her opponent over fifty times… She didn’t even have a Supreme Fruit Position, yet achieved such feats. No wonder she shook the world in her time.

How was that even possible?

Lü Yang furrowed his brow, the answer already forming:

‘Something’s off. Back then, I was simply shocked. But now that I think about it, this isn’t strength a mere early-Golden Core cultivator should have. True Lord Feixue definitely cheated!’

Also facing a mid-Golden Core opponent.

I, with a glorious Supreme Fruit Position, killed her once and was drained dry. Yet you, a mere 【Waters Below the Ravine】, managed to kill over fifty times—this clearly defies common sense!

While Lü Yang pondered…

On the other side, the newly reincarnated 【Essence-Holding Treasure Lotus Bodhisattva】 had a dark expression, twitching at the corners of her eyes, her face flushing from blue to red.

‘I… actually died once!’

Even for one with a Supreme Fruit Position, to be killed once was an utter humiliation for the 【Essence-Holding Treasure Lotus Bodhisattva】—surely she would become a laughingstock from now on.

At that thought, her gaze turned icy as she looked at the now-weakened Lü Yang, ready to strike again—

But as soon as she had the thought, a heavenly river surged across the sky, cutting between her and Lü Yang, severing the space between them.

“Xue Feihong, you!?” 【Essence-Holding Treasure Lotus Bodhisattva】’s face changed slightly.

“A loss is a loss. Still standing there for what?”

Within the roaring river, a domineering voice reverberated, as though one could see a woman standing with hands on her hips, full of swagger:

“Scram!”

Upon hearing this, the Bodhisattva’s killing intent halted, and she sighed inwardly: ‘Today… it seems Jiangxi is truly lost!’

The battle was already decided.

On Lü Yang’s side, with the Old Dragon Lord holding the fort and True Lord Feixue vouching for him—unless the 【Sturdy Path-Preaching True Lord】 from the Sword Pavilion made a move, his position was unshakable!

The Pure Land had no chance of shaking it!

As for the World-Honored One descending… the Bodhisattva had thought of it too. In fact, she had been attempting to contact the World-Honored One since the beginning.

But there had been no reply.

The silence said it all, leaving her helpless and fully aware that continuing the struggle was meaningless.

“…Amitabha.”

【Essence-Holding Treasure Lotus Bodhisattva】 sighed deeply. Then she relaxed her brows, dissipated her killing intent, and her face resumed its alluring and compassionate smile.

The next moment, she stared straight at Lü Yang standing in the sky and chuckled softly: “Fellow cultivator has attained the 【Heavenly Flame】, truly an unprecedented miracle throughout the ages. However, you chose the wrong time. The Millennium Tribulation approaches. As a newly risen True Lord, you will be a target of all. Do you have a method to evade the calamity?”

“You jest, Daoist Friend.”

Lü Yang replied with a calm smile: “Calamity is also opportunity. As cultivators, we must forge ahead through brambles and thorns. How can we hand over our opportunities to others?”

Hearing this, the Bodhisattva froze for a moment, then sneered coldly.

Did he really think the Millennium Tribulation was just a casual fight among juniors, where everyone held back? That was a true Dao struggle—

Even the fall of a True Lord was a trivial matter!

“Arrogant junior…”

“Hahaha! Well said!”

On the other side, True Lord Feixue laughed aloud, her beautiful eyes full of admiration as she looked at Lü Yang: “With such spirit, you are indeed one of our kind!”

Lü Yang returned the gesture respectfully, inwardly sighing in relief. He knew the carefully crafted words he just spoke had hit True Lord Feixue’s sweet spot, winning her favor. With her support, stabilizing the situation would be easy.

Indeed, Lü Yang had deliberately spoken with such grandeur.

After all, he was unlike other True Lords. When others died in the Millennium Tribulation, they were truly dead—he, on the other hand, could just restart.

With cheats in hand, no need to panic!

The next second, the Bodhisattva dispelled her Buddhist light, her alluring form fading.

Elsewhere, the remaining Dao Court’s Three Dukes—only the Grand Tutor and Grand Protector left—had long vanished without a trace. Clearly, they had decisively fled, already retreating into Jiangdong.

Meanwhile, the battle in the depths of the sky also reached its conclusion.

BOOM!

A thunderous explosion resounded—it was the Jia You Emperor breaking free of the oceanic illusion created by 【Great Ocean Water】, and fleeing straight back to Jiangdong without looking back.

When they came, seven True Lords had arrived with thunderous momentum.

When they left, only four departed in disarray. The remaining three: two Bodhisattvas had retreated into obscurity, and the Dao Court’s Grand Preceptor had been beheaded by Lü Yang on the battlefield!

Only now—was this truly a foundational battle!

Hoo!

Lü Yang descended, surging mana erupting from above his head, blazing into a pillar of fire that illuminated the land of Jiangxi with crimson light.

The next second, the trillions of beings in Jiangxi—all the Foundation Establishment True Persons watching this battle—opened their eyes wide. They saw that the Jiangxi land, once filled with Buddhist light and temples everywhere, suddenly ignited in a sea of fire, radiant clouds like tides, sweeping across the entire region!

“Today, I establish the【Path of Righteous Qi】!”

Lü Yang had always believed that the sects large and small in this damned place were without exception all Demonic Paths. The so-called Righteous Path didn’t exist at all—it was all a lie.

At this thought, he made a firm decision:

‘If no one can do it—then I will be the Righteous Path!’

“All cultivators under heaven, regardless of alignment or origin—as long as they are willing to enter my sect and call my name, they may all become my disciples and be taught divine powers and cultivation techniques.”

As his thunderous proclamation echoed, the entire land of Jiangxi began to change.

Rivers rerouted, floods reversed, mountains shifted, the land gathered—responding to Lü Yang’s will, reshaping into the form he desired.

Whipping mountains, moving stones, parting rivers to form land.

All happened with unbelievable speed. It wasn’t that Lü Yang was using immense power to reshape the world—it was as if the heavens and earth themselves were responding to his will, changing of their own accord!
