Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2886: Result

Across the battlefield, Zach had just shattered the final mirror shield when he felt the terrifying energy gathering around Emery’s blade. His instincts screamed danger.

The dragon prince roared and raised his massive greatsword high into the air.

Behind him, a colossal phantom of Bahamut erupted into existence. The gigantic dragon spirit spiraled around Zach’s body before condensing into a single devastating strike.

Draconic flames surged violently as Zach unleashed his ultimate attack.

[Hellraiser Prime]

Both warriors released their strongest techniques at the same moment.

Zach’s attack descended like a blazing meteor tearing through the heavens, its fiery mass capable of crushing mountains beneath its weight.

Emery’s blade answered with three savage cleaves.

The first strike flashed forward.

The cleave collided with the flaming meteor and cracked it open.

Zach’s eyes widened in shock.

The second cleave followed immediately behind.

This time the meteor shattered completely, breaking apart under the overwhelming destructive force.

The third and final cleave surged forward, cutting through the remaining flames as it charged directly toward Zach himself.

The dragon prince immediately shifted into defense.

Trusting both his massive sword and the crimson scales covering his body, Zach crossed his weapon before him and braced for the impact.

Then—

KABOOOOM!

The explosion illuminated the entire arena.

Violent shockwaves rippled outward as the destructive forces collided. The ground trembled while the sky above the bridge burned with crimson and twilight energy.

When the light finally faded, Emery watched as Zach slowly descended through the smoke.

The dragon prince’s body was covered in wounds, his armor cracked in several places, yet he still stood upright.

”Terrifying skill...” Zach said as he steadied himself. ”Is that the technique the Stellar Beast Emperor?”

Emery nodded silently.

That single attack had drained him completely.

Excalibur trembled in his grasp before Emery finally lowered it and returned the sword to its sheath. At the same time, the primal energy surrounding his body faded as the half-primal transformation dissipated, leaving him once again in his Twilight form.

”Don’t you give up now,” Zach said with a grin. But the moment he finished speaking, blood suddenly spilled from his mouth.

Emery smiled faintly.

”Of course not.”

He reached to his side and drew two new weapons.

Both were Tier-6 swords.

One was his familiar Savage Blade, while the other was a high-grade weapon he had taken from the Veshka puppets during a previous battle.

Without another word, the two warriors rushed toward each other again.

Another round began.

The two warriors rushed toward each other again, their weapons colliding in a relentless storm of steel and energy. Each clash echoed across the bridge as sparks burst into the air and shockwaves rippled through the arena. Neither Emery nor Zach showed the slightest intention of retreating, and every exchange only seemed to push them further into the depths of their endurance.

Despite the wounds covering his body, Zach continued fighting with terrifying momentum. The dragon prince’s breathing had grown heavier, yet the power of his draconic bloodline still burned fiercely within him. His movements remained steady and resolute, his massive executioner sword swinging with crushing force.

Emery, on the other hand, quickly realized the harsh reality of the situation.

Without the power of his primal transformation, his combat strength had dropped significantly. Even though he could still draw upon the opposing energies of Khaos; Killgragah’s and Daurgototh on each blades, the balance between them did not fully compensate for the brutal raw strength he had lost. Zach’s draconic bloodline, and the seamless synergy between his body and sword technique continued to give him the upper hand.

The difference in weapon grade only made matters worse. Zach’s executioner sword was clearly a higher-tier weapon, capable of enduring their brutal exchanges without the slightest hesitation, while Emery’s temporary blades struggled to match its overwhelming force.

If the battle continued this way, the outcome was inevitable.

Sooner or later, either his body or his weapon would give out under the relentless pressure.

And when that happened, Emery would lose.

Realizing this, Emery made a decisive choice.

Instead of retreating, he suddenly charged forward with reckless aggression. His sudden advance surprised Zach for a brief moment, but the dragon prince quickly adapted and seized the opening.

The massive executioner sword descended once again.

BAAAM!

The heavy blade slammed into Emery’s shoulder once again with crushing force, driving him slightly into the ground beneath his feet.

”Admit defeat!” Zach commanded.

Emery raised his head.

Despite the pain, a faint smile appeared on his face.

”No... not this time.”

Then, to Zach’s surprise, Emery suddenly released both of his swords.

His hands moved rapidly, forming a series of intricate hand seals.

In the next instant, Elysian roots erupted from the ground.

Thick, glowing vines burst upward like living serpents, twisting violently through the shattered earth before coiling around both warriors. The roots tightened their grip with relentless force, their luminous veins pulsing with life as they bound Emery and Zach alike. Within seconds, the powerful vines wrapped around their arms and legs, anchoring them firmly to the battlefield and restricting every movement.

”What are you doing!?” Zach shouted in confusion, struggling against the tightening restraints.

Emery offered no answer.

Instead, he remained completely defenseless, allowing Zach to strike him repeatedly as he continued focusing on the technique.

Blow after blow landed on Emery’s body.

Yet Emery did not resist.

Instead, he called Chututlu’s name.

Assisting him in activating the devouring power from the vines, subtly draining and weakening Zach while gradually restoring his own strength.

But that was not all he was doing.

Zach suddenly felt it.

A terrifying pressure gathering above them.

His instincts reacted immediately as he lifted his gaze toward the sky.

”What... is that?”

High above the battlefield, the air had begun to distort.

Throughout the entire exchange, Emery had secretly been channeling his power into the Myriad Mountain Painting. The ancient artifact responded to his command, drawing upon his remaining strength to manifest its destructive potential.

With his current cultivation, Emery could summon two mountains.

And now both were descending.

Massive stone peaks materialized high above the arena before crashing downward with unstoppable force. The enormous shadows they cast swallowed the battlefield beneath them, turning the sky into a looming wall of stone.

Zach stared upward for a moment before laughing.

”You truly are savage.”

He struggled violently against the Elysian roots, trying to break free before the mountains struck. His dragon bloodline flared as he attempted to tear the vines apart with brute strength.

But Emery tightened his domain.

He reinforced the spatial pressure around them while holding Zach firmly in place.

Even as the mountains fell closer, Emery wrapped his arms around the dragon prince, locking him in place.

The crushing force above them grew heavier with every passing second.

Zach exhaled slowly.

Then he gave a faint grin.

Emery smiled in response.

”If I lose... you lose too.”

The twin mountains finally descended.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The colossal impact shattered the battlefield as both peaks crashed down upon the trapped warriors, unleashing a violent shockwave that swallowed the entire arena in dust and debris.

Moments later, the system’s voice echoed across the virtual space.
