Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2863: Ascension

The sky did not calm after the ninth strike.

Instead, it fractured.

Above the Divine Instrument, the tribulation clouds split apart with a deafening roar, forming two massive vortexes that rotated in opposite directions. One churned with violent wind, its currents twisting into razor-edged cyclones that shrieked like a thousand blades grinding against each other. The other condensed into a spiraling mass of pale blue frost, radiating extreme cold that crystallized moisture in the air and froze the very light around it.

Dual tribulation.

Even among grand magus breakthroughs, it was a rarity—an omen of extraordinary talent and equally extraordinary danger.

For someone who had just stepped into the Grand Magus realm, it was borderline lethal.

Fortunately, they had prepared.

From below, Emery’s eyes sharpened as he studied the structure of the phenomenon.

”If those two converge,” he transmitted urgently, ”the resonance will multiply.”

A wind tribulation feeding a frost tribulation would create torrents of absolute zero capable of freezing soul force itself. If the dual forces merged completely, even the Divine Instrument might not be able to dampen it.

Morgana reacted quickly to his arrangement. Breaking from her assigned corner, she shot upward in a streak of crimson-gold flame, primordial fire coiling around her like a living serpent. With a sharp incantation, she thrust both palms forward and unleashed a pillar of cosmic flame directly into the heart of the frost vortex.

The collision exploded across the sky in a blinding burst of steam and shattered ice.

At the same time, Klea ascended toward the wind torrent.

The gale howled around her, manifesting as countless compressed wind blades that sliced through the air with murderous intent. Even approaching it required absolute control.

She unfurled the artifact Emery had prepared for her.

Silver light burst outward as a pair of radiant feathers extended from her back—the Icarus Wings. Lightning veins ran across their metallic feathers while wind runes glowed along their edges, stabilizing her flight against the violent currents.

With a powerful beat, she plunged into the storm itself.

The wind blades struck against the wings in a storm of sparks, but the tier-seven artifact held. Within the vortex, Klea raised her Stormrazor Staff and began chanting, weaving lightning and wind into counter-rotational spirals that disrupted the storm’s structure from inside.

Explosions rippled through both tribulations.

Below, Emery replaced Morgana’s position and activated the Divine Instrument to its maximum output. The grand formation beneath the arena roared to life, pillars of light shooting upward to filter the descending cosmic forces. Dangerous resonance frequencies were siphoned away, diffused into auxiliary arrays, and redirected into stabilizing channels.

The sky shook violently.

BAAAAMMMM!!!

Even weakened, the tribulation refused to be subdued. The spectral Heavenly Sentinel reformed within the clouds, its translucent figure crackling with accumulated wrath. Raising an arm, it hurled a condensed spear of lightning downward.

The bolt collided with the two destabilized tribulations, merging into a single colossal pillar of chained lightning that cascaded repeatedly through sky and earth like a divine execution.

Klea braced herself.

Her Stormrazor Staff trembled under the strain, hairline cracks forming along its runic surface. The weapon was reaching its limit.

”We need to assist her!” Morgana shouted, ready to surge forward again.

But Emery lifted a hand, his voice firm despite the tension tightening his chest.

”No... wait. She can do this.”

His gaze never left Klea. He understood the nature of tribulation better than most. If they smothered the storm too early, if they shielded her from the heart of it, she would survive—but her foundation would weaken. Cosmic tribulation was not merely punishment. It was refinement. Only through extreme struggle could one extract its purest essence.

And Klea had not yet reached her limit.

High above, battered by wind and frost and the residual wrath of the heavenly sentinel, Klea steadied herself. Her breathing was ragged, blood staining the corner of her lips, but her eyes remained clear.

She would not retreat.

Instead of raising her staff again, she withdrew a slender instrument from her sleeve—the Lotus Pen.

Lightning flashed around her as she began to write in midair.

Each stroke carved glowing sigils into the storm, complex interlocking formations layered with lightning law, wind vectors, and freezing spirals. The lines did not remain static; they rotated, expanded, and anchored themselves into the turbulent sky like celestial script binding heaven itself.

Then she began to chant.

”Ramuh...”

A thunderous resonance answered her call.

A colossal spectral figure formed behind her—ancient, crowned in lightning, its body composed of living thunder. Electricity coiled around its limbs as it raised a staff of pure voltage.

”Garuda...”

The wind screamed in response.

A second figure descended in a cyclone of golden feathers and violent air currents, wings spanning across the storm. The chaotic wind torrents bent, as if recognizing their sovereign.

”Shiva...”

The temperature plummeted.

A third apparition manifested from the frost vortex, tall and serene, eyes closed in glacial stillness. Ice crystallized along its silhouette, and the raging cold condensed into disciplined shards orbiting its form.

Three Aeons.

Three elemental legacies answering their chosen bearer.

The storm did not lessen.

It intensified.

Lightning clashed with lightning. Wind tore against wind. Ice collided with frost. The sky erupted into a battlefield of divine forces, detonations rippling outward in blinding arcs.

And at the center of it all—Klea.

The backlash was brutal. Each collision sent shockwaves through her body.

She screamed—not in fear, but in defiance.

The Aeons did not shield her completely. They broke the tribulation apart just enough that its essence could be refined instead of annihilating her.

[Cosmic force entering your core]

Her Sea of Consciousness trembled violently.

The first threads of a new structure began forming within—a luminous ring coalescing at the center of her spirit.

[Forming Cosmic Circle]

Energy poured into her like a flood breaking through a dam. Her soul began to emerge visibly above her physical form, translucent and radiant.

[Soul force improving exponentially]

It started as a small outline—fragile, indistinct—like a fetal silhouette suspended in light.

Slowly, steadily, the form matured.

The outline sharpened, expanding into the shape of a small child of light, then into a youthful figure, and finally into a complete radiant manifestation—an adult spiritual avatar mirroring Klea’s own form, brilliant and sovereign.

Each stage was accompanied by tremors that shook the arena.

[Soul force increased exponentially]

The transformation did not stop at her spirit.

Her body responded.

Muscles tightened and refined. Bones hardened and resonated with elemental harmonics. Lightning veins shimmered faintly beneath her skin, while frost traced delicate patterns along her arms before dissolving into a balanced flow. Wind currents circulated her form, stabilizing her aura.

Her very physiology was being rewritten by cosmic law. forming her cosmic body.

[Battle power increased exponentially]

Within her Sea of Consciousness, the pressure peaked.

The endless expanse of spiritual ocean surged outward, breaking through the previous ceiling of Spirit Master limitation. At its center, a towering structure began to rise from luminous waters—a pagoda of condensed law and refined soul force.

Her first pagoda.

It solidified with a thunderous resonance that echoed even into the physical world.

As the final waves of tribulation energy poured into her, her inner domain formed.

One...

Two...

Three floating islands manifested, suspended in a radiant sky.

The first crackled faintly with lightning, veins of silver light coursing through its terrain like living circuits. The second was swept by constant currents of wind, grass bending in endless motion beneath open skies. The third shimmered in frost-kissed stillness, crystalline formations rising like frozen cathedrals.

Between them, waterfalls of pure spiritual water cascaded downward, not falling into emptiness but dissolving into mist before reforming—cycling endlessly, sustaining balance among the three.

It was not a chaotic land.

It was structured.

Elemental harmony intertwined at its core.

[Your understanding of the Laws has improved exponentially]

[Cosmic Circle formed]

The luminous ring within her core stabilized, rotating with refined precision.

[Law of Lightning – 35%(44)]

[Law of Wind – 33% (42)]

[Law of Ice – 30% (40)]

[Law of Water – 20% (22)]

[Soul Force – 1044 (1365)]

The numbers surged upward as cosmic energy continued to refine her foundation.

Each increase was not merely quantitative—it was qualitative.

Then—

Something shifted.

A subtle thread within the cosmic flow tightened.

It was not lightning. Not wind. Not ice.

It was something higher.

A comprehension formed—not taught, not inherited, but glimpsed.

[You have comprehended the law of the universe]

The words did not arrive as sound but as revelation.

Her awareness expanded beyond the three islands. Beyond her domain. Beyond even the storm.

She perceived the sky—not as atmosphere, not as weather—but as a governing layer of law. A canopy that connected all elements beneath it.

[You have comprehended the Law of Sky]

[Law of Sky – 3%]

The realization struck like a silent bell.

Wind, lightning, frost—they were expressions.

Sky was the authority.

Her three islands trembled lightly as a faint blue arc spread across their heavens, binding them together under a unified expanse.

But the revelations were not yet finished.

From within the remaining stream of cosmic energy, Klea felt something purer—thinner, subtler, yet immeasurably profound.

Not elemental.

Not derived.

Fundamental.

A sliver of origin.

It brushed her consciousness like the first breath of creation.

[You have comprehended the True Law of Origin]

[Law of Origin – 1%]

The effect was immediate.

Her entire being shuddered—not in pain, but in awakening.

It was as if the scattered threads of her cultivation aligned around a hidden axis. Her soul, now fully matured in radiant form, glowed brighter, steadier.

[Soul Force increased exponentially]

[Soul Force – 1365 (1512)]

The increase was not explosive—it was stabilizing. Integrating.

High above the physical arena, the last remnants of tribulation lightning dispersed into fading sparks.

Silence fell.

Klea hovered in the air, eyes closed, aura no longer wild but immense and controlled.

It took several long breaths before her eyelids slowly opened.

The world looked different.

As her feet touched the ground once more, a quiet pressure radiated outward from her.

She had not merely survived.

She had ascended.

Grand Magus Realm
