Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2292: Improvement

Emery led the Grand Magus into his personal domain, a rare and intimate gesture given the strength of his guest. Allowing someone of such power to enter his domain was uncommon, but Emeryʼs deep respect and trust in the elder, combined with their shared affinity for nature, made it an easier decision.

Upon entering, the Grand Magus seemed impressed by the sheer size of the domain and the richness of the natural energy that permeated the area, but his real excitement lit up when he laid eyes on Twik and the Chizpur brothers.

The moment they sensed his presence, several older stone creatures gathered around him, including Twik, who was eager to greet the familiar figure. The elder, clearly delighted, let out a chuckle, recalling past interactions with the stone creatures.

The Grand Magus couldnʼt help but smile at the warm reception. However, he couldnʼt ignore the fact that living inside a domain wasnʼt ideal for the stone creatures, especially those meant to thrive in specific environments.

He understood the situation, though. With Emeryʼs lower-realm origins and limited options, it made sense. The high concentration of nature energy within the domain clearly sustained the Chizpurs, and their happiness was evident.

His eyes then wandered to the centerpiece of the domain, the mystical forest. At its heart lay the tree responsible for the immense nature energy—an ancient presence that radiated vitality, strengthening the bond between all living things in the area. Emery had been nurturing the Elysian tree with the finest materials he could find, and the results were evident. Over the past year, the tree had grown to a majestic six meters in height, with its roots spreading an impressive 50 meters across the domain, delving deep into the earth. Though still in its juvenile stage, the tree exuded a powerful, radiant energy that filled the area, making it the focal point of the domainʼs natural harmony.

When Grand Magus Yvere laid eyes on the tree, he stood in silent awe. His hand gently rested on one of its massive, sprawling roots, and a look of pure admiration crossed his face, as though he had just encountered something truly sacred. A smile slowly spread across his features, one that conveyed deep reverence.

”You are incredibly fortunate,” Yvere finally spoke, his voice filled with wonder. ”This... this is a fragment of the heavenly World Tree.”

The grand magus was visibly moved. He ran his fingers over the bark, clearly impressed by its presence and vitality. He even admitted, with a chuckle, how envious he was.

”Not only is this tree a priceless relic, but the fact that youʼve managed to plant it within your domain is astounding.”

Yvereʼs excitement grew as he examined the tree further. ”As this tree continues to grow, so too will your strength,” he said, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. Without hesitation, he turned to Emery and added, ”Let me take a look at your core.”

The request to probe his core was an intimate and vulnerable one, yet Emery didnʼt hesitate. Much like fifteen years ago, when he first entrusted the elder with this task, he lowered his defenses and allowed Grand Magus Yvere to explore both his cores. While the elderʼs magic delicately examined his internal energies, Emery took the opportunity to reflect on his progress over the past year.

[Emery Ambrose]

[Magus Realm: Dual Full Moon]

[Battle Power: 690]

[Law of Nature: 30 (34%)]

[Law of Light: 23 (27%)]

[Law of Space: 31%]

[Law of Devour: 14 (15%)]

[Law of Gravity: 10%]

[Law of Sword: 5 (6%)]

[Law Comprehension:113 (123)]

[Soul Force: 1225(1299)]

Emery had dedicated himself almost entirely to cultivating his nature core. His time spent with the [Prism of Light] meditation, combined with two times baths in the academyʼs [Myriad Spring of Life] and the growing presence of the Elysian tree, had pushed his progress forward. In total, he had managed to gain a combined 8% in his law comprehension of light and nature. ȓÂＮóʙĘᶊ

Yet, despite this extreme effort, the imbalance between the two energies remained frustratingly unresolved.

[Energy Balance: Darkness 56 %, Light 44 %]

The numbers reflected his struggle—darkness still held a slight dominance over light. The lack of perfect balance gnawed at him, a reminder that he still had far to go.

Grand Magus Yvereʼs smile grew wider as he finished probing Emeryʼs abilities.

”I see now why Aurora considered you so special,” he said, his voice tinged with admiration. ”Youʼve managed to find a remarkable way to balance the malevolent darkness within you.” The grand magus assessed Emeryʼs domain with a thoughtful nod. He deemed it a fitting sanctuary for Artio, at least until Emery could secure a more permanent refuge or until Gaiaʼs evolution reached completion. Following this advice, Emery opened his domain to the massive bear.

Initially, Artio was hesitant. His colossal form and rugged demeanor seemed out of place in the serene, energy-rich environment of the domain. But Emeryʼs patience and the allure of the domainʼs nature energy gradually drew the bear in. As Artio finally entered, the transformation was striking.

The moment Artio stepped into the domain, the grass and the branches that grew on the creatureʼs back seemed to come alive with renewed vitality. The once-muted foliage now glowed with an intense, vibrant green, pulsating with an energy that mirrored the strength of the bear itself. The domainʼs natural aura seemed to invigorate the bear, accentuating his imposing presence.

As Artio moved, the aura around him shifted, revealing his true power. The bearʼs form radiated an almost palpable energy, its fur bristling with latent strength. Via, Emeryʼs intuitive system, conducted a thorough analysis of the bear, providing detailed information on Artioʼs current state:

[Verdusan Bear]

[Desolate creature - peak stage]

[Battle Power 720]

The visible improvement in Artio was striking. It was clear that the bear had not been properly nurtured on Earth, and the Elysian treeʼs influence was making a significant difference.

The treeʼs presence was not only enhancing Artio but also having a notable effect on the other inhabitants of Emeryʼs domain. The grand magus observed the transformative effects on Twik and the Chizpurs with keen interest.

Via provided detailed information, underscoring the profound impact of the Elysian tree:

Flora Colossi - Stage 9

Desolate Creature - low-Stage

Battle Power: 695

###

Chizpur Fang - Stage 7

Mythical Creature - Peak Stage

Battle Power: 325

Twikʼs strength was already on par with that of a peak magus-level figure, reflecting the extraordinary enhancements granted by the Elysian tree. Meanwhile, the Chizpurs, though not as powerful as Twik, had reached the Halfmoon magus level, demonstrating considerable prowess.

This substantial increase in their combat abilities was why Emery had felt confident enough to let them engage in battles before. This power was evident when Twik successfully repelled the High Elvesʼ puppet attack, showcasing the high level of influence the Elysian tree had on these creatures.

The grand magusʼs admiration for the tree grew with each passing moment. ”What a fascinating tree indeed,” he remarked, clearly impressed by its effects.

Emery watched as the grand magus seemed to deliberate on something, his expression thoughtful. After a brief pause, the elder finally spoke ”Emery, I wonder if you would be willing to consider a trade?”

The suggestion hung in the air, leaving Emery intrigued and curious about what the grand magus might propose to him.
