The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2642: The missing piece

Cain clenched his teeth as he raised the Zero State Spear to intercept Nito’s attack. The collision unleashed a deafening explosion that shattered the surrounding space and sent shockwaves tearing across the battlefield. Despite managing to block the blow, the Scarlet King was blasted backward, rolling through the air as immense force coursed through every inch of his body.

His arms trembled violently.

The impact alone had nearly dislocated them.

Yet there was no time to recover.

His instincts screamed at him.

The danger was far from over.

Using every ounce of strength he possessed, Cain twisted his body at the last possible moment.

The movement proved crucial.

A fraction of a second later, Nito descended from above like a divine executioner. The Curse Eater’s fist crashed through the space Cain had occupied, generating a shockwave powerful enough to split apart mountains.

As soon as he avoided the attack, Cain counterattacked.

The Zero State Spear flashed forward.

”SHRRRRK!”

A sharp screech echoed across the battlefield.

To Cain’s frustration, the spear failed to fully penetrate Nito’s defenses. The only result was a shallow cut running across the Curse Eater’s chest.

It was an attack that would have crippled most Alpha Omega Overgods.

For Nito, it was little more than a scratch.

The Curse Eater did not even glance at the injury.

His response came immediately.

A ferocious punch slammed directly into Cain’s chest.

The moment the blow landed, Cain felt a terrifying force surge into his body.

Life and death.

The powers of Samsara erupted inside him.

His vitality was forcibly converted into death essence, weakening him from within while simultaneously assaulting his flesh and soul. Several ribs shattered instantly as the impact sent him hurtling toward the ground.

Blood exploded from his mouth.

The Scarlet King crashed through layers of earth before finally coming to a stop.

High above, a cold smile appeared on Nito’s face.

”It was risky to unlock the Samsara Eye,” he said, allowing the thrill of victory to course through him, ”but it was worth every sacrifice.”

The Curse Eater glanced at his own hands.

The power flowing through them was unlike anything he had possessed before.

He could feel it.

His strength had entered an entirely new domain.

Turning his gaze toward the crater, Nito’s smile widened.

”Even with that special spear, you cannot face me.”

His voice echoed throughout the battlefield.

”And without it, you have no path but death.”

Deep within the crater, purple runic lines spread across Cain’s body.

The Samsara Runic Set activated immediately, reconstructing his shattered ribs and restoring the most severe damage. The healing process consumed enormous amounts of energy, yet it was enough to keep him fighting.

Looking upward, Cain saw Nito descending once more.

The killing intent radiating from the Curse Eater was overwhelming.

Time seemed to slow.

The Scarlet King’s mind entered a state of perfect clarity as he searched for a solution.

If he recalled Tyranus Gungnir, he would once again possess the power necessary to challenge Nito directly.

However, that option carried disastrous consequences.

If both Nito and the Storm of the Root turned their attention toward him simultaneously, the situation would become even worse than it already was.

A darker possibility soon emerged.

If the Storm of the Root abandoned him entirely and chose to target the Alliance, the result would be a massacre.

Cain’s eyes narrowed.

He could not recall Tyranus Gungnir.

Yet without it, how was he supposed to overcome Nito?

The Zero State Spear was powerful, but it lacked the destructive capabilities needed to break through the Curse Eater’s defenses.

If he could not injure his opponent, victory was impossible.

”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!”

Nito crashed into the battlefield with enough force to shake the entire continent.

The earth split apart beneath him.

Massive rivers of magma erupted from the cracks and surged into the sky, creating walls of molten fire that obscured the battlefield.

Even while engaged in battles of their own, both the warriors of the Six Sacred Races and the Curse Eaters could not help but glance toward the confrontation between the Scarlet King and the bearer of the Samsara Eye.

Everyone understood the truth.

If a victor emerged from that clash, the war itself would effectively be decided.

For several moments, they could only see shadows moving within the sea of magma.

Then a figure burst out.

Cain.

The Scarlet King’s body was covered in grievous wounds.

Several fist-sized holes had been blasted through his torso.

Blood covered his armor and dripped onto the shattered earth below.

Although the Samsara Immortal Body continuously repaired the damage, it was clear to everyone that he was being pushed toward his limit.

Nito, on the other hand, appeared more imposing than ever.

The fissure on his forehead had widened slightly.

The pressure emanating from the Samsara Eye continued to intensify.

Every passing second seemed to bring him closer to a level of power beyond the Third Realm.

The Curse Eater slowly rose into the sky.

His expression remained calm.

Confident.

Victorious.

Behind him, the Samsara Wheel began to shine brighter and brighter as its six realms rotated in perfect harmony.

At long last, it seemed capable of unleashing its true power.

The pressure emanating from Nito climbed higher.

And higher.

And higher.

Until it began to brush against the Fourth Realm.

Below him, Cain stood amid the devastation.

His body was battered.

His flesh was torn.

His internal injuries remained severe.

Although the Samsara Runic Set could continue healing him, the Scarlet King had deliberately halted the process after stabilizing the most lethal wounds.

He needed the energy.

Every drop of it.

The figure descending from the heavens felt like the embodiment of absolute death itself.

If Cain failed to find a way to answer this power, he might truly die.

Yet there was no panic in his eyes.

No despair.

No fear.

On the contrary, the looming threat of death pushed his focus and enlightenment to unprecedented heights.

His gaze slowly shifted toward the Zero State Spear.

A profound light appeared within his eyes.

”Entropy and Nihility.”

His voice was calm.

”The first drives all matter toward its inevitable end. The second reduces all thought and existence to emptiness and nothingness.”

The grip around the spear tightened.

”I fused them through the Power of Chaos, giving birth to Zero State Force.”

The light in Cain’s eyes grew brighter.

Brighter.

Brighter.

Until he slowly closed them.

”However, that is not the end.”

The Scarlet King’s aura began to change.

”It can evolve.”

His voice carried absolute certainty.

”It can become something greater.”

Memories surfaced within his mind.

The power he had once allowed to course through every fiber of his existence.

The final complement.

Cain slowly raised the Zero State Spear above his head.

The weapon pointed toward the heavens.

Nito frowned as he watched the movement.

Instinctively, a sense of danger appeared in his heart.

Yet he did not stop.

His confidence in the power of the Samsara Eye was absolute.

Once his strength reached its peak, he accelerated.

The sky shattered behind him as he transformed into a streak of destruction.

Like a falling star carrying the judgment of death itself, Nito charged forward, fully intent on ending the Scarlet King’s life.
