The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1686: Evolution of Mind and Body as One

Harkon’s eyes widened in disbelief as he witnessed the impossible—his ferocious strike had landed squarely, yet the Shooting Star Dragon Halberd remained steady beneath the assault, unmoved as though carved from celestial stone.

What stunned him even more were the waves of Gravity Star Power radiating from the weapon, distorting the air around it with an invisible weight that made the very space seem heavier.

“ARRRRRGHHHHH!”

Lord of Conquest Leviathan, bellowed as monstrous rage coursed through his towering, draco-serpentine frame. His muscles bulged, his size growing with each pulse of fury.

Power rippled through his massive form like tidal waves crashing through a dark sea, and it was in this state that Cain cleaved through the ocean of ghostly energy that swirled around him.

For a moment, time seemed to freeze between Cain and Harkon, the battlefield falling silent as two titanic wills clashed. But the stillness didn’t last.

In the very next heartbeat, Cain transformed into a streaking tempest of light and violence, becoming an ocean of storm light, his killing intent blazing as he launched forward with ferocious speed.

Harkon gritted his teeth and met the incoming strike, but things were becoming increasingly difficult. Thanks to his massive Rank 10 Star Power and advanced cultivation technique, he refined his body to an extraordinary degree. His physique could shrug off attacks that would shatter mountains.

Yet now, even he was struggling to withstand the power of the Third Realm Natural Inherence imbued into the Shooting Star Dragon Halberd—especially with both Fire and Gravity Star Power coursing through it in perfect harmony.

Their battle began to draw the attention of all within the Prima Deity Battlefield. Even the most powerful clashes between the supreme powerhouses from the Divine Calamity Heaven and Divine Sea Heaven began to feel distant compared to the intensity radiating from the duel between Cain and Harkon.

Though the two combatants couldn’t match the sheer power of those six transcendent warriors, their conflict was more visceral, more immediate—a dance of relentless ferocity and explosive willpower.

Nearly all Prima Deities restrained themselves to using only 70% of their total power, preserving the remainder for emergencies. It was a tactical choice, a survival strategy. But Cain was different—he held nothing back. Every swing, every strike, every roar came at 100% intensity. His absolute commitment forced Harkon to respond in kind, pushing their battle into a realm of savagery that eclipsed all others.

Cain wasn’t driven by any deep loyalty to the Divine Calamity faction. In truth, he cared little for the motives behind the war.

The only thing that truly mattered to him was conquest. Killing Harkon wouldn’t just be a battlefield victory—it would mean absorbing another immensely powerful soul into the Scarlet Throne. If he could rip the heart from Harkon before the Astral Supremacy Star within it escaped, he would gain access to a new Rank 10 Star Power.

Of course, Cain’s [Gluttony Module] could only contain one Astral Supremacy Star at a time, which meant he would have to give up the Gravity Star Power currently housed within. But Cain had already laid the foundation for the Unified Reinforcement Force Field needed to execute the Indestructible Heraclius Technique. If he could acquire a more potent Star Power, it would be well worth the exchange.

His eyes glowed with a lethal blend of hunger and triumph as he pressed forward with mounting ferocity, pushing Harkon further back with each strike. The sheer killing will emanating from him began to affect the battlefield itself.

Unseen to most, the Gu Sect forces beneath him were caught in a wave of subconscious influence. Their hearts ignited with fury, and without even realizing it, the fatigue in their limbs vanished. Their minds sharpened, bodies reawakened, and adrenaline coursed through them like wildfire. Their speed and efficiency in combat spiked to terrifying levels.

But that wasn’t all.

Those warriors who harbored the Scarlet Leviathan within their Soul Dimensions were affected in a different and much more profound way. They were not filled with reckless rage, but instead with a piercing clarity—a sense of inevitable purpose, of unwavering determination.

In their minds blossomed a clear path forward, a vision of conquest that catalyzed their very essence. Their talents surged. Their destinies sharpened. Their growth accelerated.

And the effect was not linear—it was cyclical.

Every time one of these warriors broke through a bottleneck or unlocked a new realm of strength, subtle waves of psychic energy were sent back to the Lord of Conquest Leviathan.

The Path of Conquest became ever clearer in Cain’s mind, and the Scarlet Throne itself devoured tens of thousands of souls by the second. Each moment, Cain and the forces aligned with him grew more terrifying.

Then, after ten and a half hours of brutal war, it happened.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!”

A deafening explosion ripped across the sky, not one of fire or destruction, but of evolution—a cataclysm of pure psychic might. A shockwave of power blasted outward, shimmering in all directions, and reality itself seemed to ripple in response.

Cain’s power exploded.

His figure expanded as the raw energy of Concepts overflowed into the world around him, transforming the battlefield into a domain of divine phenomena.

A sky of red lightning cracked above, each bolt infused with the Concept of Rage.

Verdant flowers burst forth amidst the destruction, pulsing with the Concept of Life.

A black sun loomed in the distance, radiating the Concept of Power, warping the gravity around it.

Mountains began to crack and float in midair, sundered by the Concept of Sundering.

Finally, a spiral of crimson and gold energy coiled around Cain like a divine hurricane, swallowing everything—the perfect embodiment of the Concept of Gluttony.

Cain’s eyes glowed with a profound sense of pride and accomplishment as he realized what had occurred.

“I have reached the Middle Stage of Mind and Body as One.”

Even for supreme geniuses of the Third Realm, it would take tens of thousands of years to cross such a threshold. But Cain had done the impossible, fueled by the ocean of psychic energy from the Scarlet Throne and his razor-sharp comprehension of the Path of Conquest—sharpened during the chaotic, violent, and divine war.

Of course, he had no time to bask in his success.

All thoughts were pushed to the back of his mind as he raised the Shooting Star Dragon Halberd high above his head. It shimmered with fused Fire and Gravity Star Power, now refined by the strength of Conquest and forged anew in the furnace of evolution.

Cain let out a roar that split the heavens.

And then—

He unleashed everything.
