The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1142: Abaddon vs Anura (I) Chapter 1142: Abaddon vs Anura (I) Silence reigned as all parties gazed at one another, none wanting to make the first move.

Cain remained still, intending to keep his power hidden for as long as possible.

He saw this gathering as an opportunity to observe and learn.

If no one challenged him, that would be ideal.

Unfortunately, his luck didn’t hold.

“I would like to see what the dragon Abaddon has to offer,” a voice rang out, breaking the quiet.

Surprisingly, the speaker wasn’t from the Sun Church or the South Coast Alliance.

Instead, it came from the Moon Cult.

Cain turned to see a young woman with golden hair and eyes glowing with moonlight.

She had been standing next to Meylin, silent until now, yet the first words she spoke were a challenge directed at him.

Her gaze was sharp and filled with disapproval, and it wasn’t hard to figure out why.

While none of the women from the Moon Cult had defended Meylin earlier, knowing she didn’t need their help, it didn’t mean they were pleased with Cain’s previous behavior.

Immediately, all eyes turned to Cain, eager to see how he would handle the challenge.

Cain let out a small sigh as the woman stepped into the center of the sky arena.

His instincts sharpened, quickly assessing her strength.

She was a Level 25 Dark Seed Legend, but her aura radiated power well beyond that.

The Moon Cult’s unique cultivation path had clearly enhanced her abilities, much like the Archangel Path did for the Sun Church or the Tiamat Dragon Path for Cain and his fellow dragons.

Even though Cain would have preferred to avoid the fight, refusing a challenge would tarnish the Tiamat Sect’s reputation.

Offering a polite nod, he said, “It will be an honor to test the power of one of the Moon Cult’s saintesses.” The woman introduced herself with measured grace.

“My name is Anura.” She paused, her eyes narrowing slightly before continuing.

“Are you not going to adopt your full dragon form?” Cain glanced around.

The crown of the Moon Heart was immense, more than capable of accommodating his full dragon form.

However, he shook his head and responded calmly, “That won’t be necessary.” Transforming into his full dragon form would indeed increase his strength, endurance, and the potency of his draconic spells.

Still, Cain had no intention of revealing his full abilities in what he anticipated would be a short bout.

It wasn’t a sign of disrespect but a strategy to keep his true strength concealed.

Still, by the flicker of coldness in Anura’s eyes, it was clear she took his decision as an insult.

“Fine, if that is what you wish,” she replied, her voice laced with restrained irritation.

Immediately, her energy surged, moonforce emanating from her entire body as dozens of golden swords materialized around her, each glowing with the ethereal light.

They hovered around her, sharp and deadly.

Cain’s eyes narrowed as he observed the swords.

Follow new episodes on the ””.

They were relatively small compared to his twenty-five-meter-tall form, barely one and a half meters long.

Yet the aura they radiated was terrifying.

It reminded him of the ice aspect from the Tiamat Path of Power but with a different core essence.

‘I need to be cautious,’ Cain thought.

With a single breath, he released his energy.

Lightning surged through his body, crackling across his flesh and wings, enhancing his speed and fortifying his defenses.

Simultaneously, scarlet flames ignited, enveloping him in devouring fire, imbuing his attacks with destructive, consuming force.

The arena grew still as everyone focused on the two combatants, eager to witness the strength of the Moon Cult’s saintess and the new dragon from the Tiamat Sect.

Lady Alume, whose power harmonized with that of the Moon Heart, remained vigilant and ready to intervene if the situation spiraled out of control.

She spoke in a commanding voice, “Begin the fight!” Anura’s eyes gleamed with cold determination.

Without hesitation, she sent the golden swords flying toward Cain, their sharp edges gleaming with deadly precision.

Each sword moved with incredible speed, forming a shifting web of blades that closed in on him from all directions.

Cain’s eyes sharpened as the flurry of golden swords came at him, each moving at shocking speed.

The swords were relentless, weaving through the air with deadly precision as they cornered him from every angle.

Just as it seemed the blades had him trapped, Cain flapped his massive wings with tremendous force, propelling his body upward in a sudden burst of speed, narrowly dodging the attack.

Anura’s irritation grew as she manipulated the swords with increasing intensity, commanding them to pursue Cain like a swarm of predatory birds.

With a flick of her hand, she sent them slicing through the air, curving and twisting unpredictably.

The swords attacked from all angles-above, below, and from the sides-moving at blinding speeds.

Cain remained calm, his senses hyper-focused as he timed his movements with precision.

Each time the swords neared, he dodged at the last second, his body weaving between the blades with an agility that seemed impossible for someone his size.

He was testing their power, analyzing their speed and range with each dodge, his lightning-clad wings flaring with bursts of energy as he evaded every strike.

The crowd watched in awe as the scarlet dragonborn effortlessly dodged the golden swords.

Cain’s movements were fluid, and his control over his body was flawless.

But beneath his calm exterior, Cain’s mind was working quickly, calculating Anura’s next move.  Anura’s frustration mounted with every missed strike.

Her golden eyes flared with power as she pushed her energy even further.

With a sharp breath, she clenched her fists, and a shimmering force field erupted from her swords, expanding across the battlefield like a tidal wave.

The energy within the force field rippled as it expanded, stretching toward Cain with alarming speed.

Cain’s eyes narrowed as the force field reached him.

He braced himself for some attack, but nothing happened.

However, just as he wondered about the effect of the ability, he realized that the golden swords seemed to move even faster!
