My Youth Began With Him

Huo Mian felt extremely awkward…

Wei Liao and Tang Chuan looked at Huo Mian in shock.

An rarely gossiped, but since he said so, it seemed that things weren’t that simple.

Su Yu cleared his throat and quickly explained, “Don’t listen to him. What I mean is… you can sit here and enjoy the sunlight. The most important thing is that you’re close to the crabs, so you can eat more.”

Huo Mian felt that she should not be so embarrassed, so she slowly sat down.

“Miss Huo, right? I want to sit next to you…”

Tang Chuan ran over and wanted to sit next to Huo Mian.

Su Yu glared at him. “Go sit next to Wei Liao.”

Tang Chuan immediately left.

In the end, An sat next to Su Yu, while Su Yu sat next to Huo Mian.

There were two empty seats in between Huo Mian and Wei Liao. Beside Wei Liao was Tang Chuan, followed by An.

Just like that… the seating arrangement was settled.

Su Yu picked up a crab for Huo Mian.

“Eat it while it’s hot. It’s still fresh.”

“I’ll do it myself. Thanks.”

After all, with so many people around, Huo Mian was a little uptight.

“What’s Miss Huo’s profession?” Tang Chuan asked.

“I’m a nurse.”

“A nurse is good… It’s tempting in uniform.” Tang Chuan smiled.

Su Yu glared at Tang Chuan, who immediately lowered his head and continued eating.

Huo Mian couldn’t help but laugh when she saw the look in Su Yu’s eyes.

“What are you laughing at?” Su Yu asked Huo Mian, confused.

“It’s okay. Eat.”

During dinner, Su Yu glanced at An. “When you’re done eating, tell the gardeners to uproot the roses and other flowers today.”

“Boss, what did those flowers do wrong?” An thought they were pretty. What did they do wrong?

“My future wife doesn’t like them,” Su Yu said blatantly.

Huo Mian: “…”

An: “…”

Wei Liao: “…”

Tang Chuan: “…”

Ignoring the confused looks on everyone’s faces, Su Yu continued, “We’ll plant more lavender around the borders and then plant sunflowers in the middle.”

“Yes.” An knew his boss’s stubborn temper. If he decided on something, even ten cows wouldn’t be able to pull him back. It seemed like he had made up his mind.

“When did you become so classy? I was just about to say that your backyard is like a hodgepodge… It’s so messy… There are all kinds of flowers, it really does not look nice,” Tang Chuan interrupted.

“I’ve always had such good taste, I just didn’t have the time to take care of them before.” Su Yu looked up proudly.

“Then why are you in the mood to take care of it now?” Wei Liao asked on purpose.

Su Yu looked at Huo Mian and said, “Because my legs have recovered and I’m in a good mood.”

After hearing what Su Yu said, everyone laughed but didn’t expose him.

Huo Mian, on the other hand, couldn’t bear it. “Su Yu, these flowers of yours have been growing for a long time. How about replacing them when they wither in the winter… Otherwise, it would be a waste to remove them during the flower season.”

“Mhm, okay.”

Huo Mian’s casual remark changed Su Yu’s mind immediately. Oh my god… this was unprecedented.

After Wei Liao and Tang Chuan looked at each other, their hearts were filled with excitement.

An, who had a fishball in his mouth, was also stunned. He neither ate nor spit it out.

“An, did you hear what Miss Huo said?” Su Yu asked.

An nodded while still holding the fishball in his mouth.

Huo Mian sensed the weird atmosphere and felt even more embarrassed.

Hence, she kept her head down and ate without saying a word.

But it didn’t seem right to keep eating…

Tang Chuan suddenly looked at Huo Mian and said, “Miss Huo, you have such a big appetite.”

Huo Mian immediately blushed, feeling embarrassed.

Su Yu immediately defended Huo Mian, “So what if she eats a lot? Did she eat your rice?”
