My Youth Began With Him

“Mian, do you think it’s funny? But this isn’t a joke… Whether you believe it or not, this is the truth…”

“That’s impossible. Humans have the longest lifespan, and according to the Guinness records, the oldest is only 140 years old… How can you be 181 years old? And you don’t look like one at all. There aren’t any wrinkles on your face… Aunt Messiah looks like she’s only 40 years old.”

Huo Mian immediately denied it.

“Miss Mian, I swear on my life that I’m telling the truth. If I lie to you, I’ll die a horrible death.”

“Aunt Messiah, I’ve always trusted you. You can’t lie to me like that. I’m not a three-year-old kid.”

“Mian, Messiah didn’t lie to you. When I found her, she indeed looked like 39 years old… She was almost beaten to death by her black husband when he got drunk… I saved her, so she’s been following me ever since…”

“Wait… Haha, you said you saved her?” Huo Mian sneered.

Lin Ya nodded.

“Which year?”

“1875,” Lin Ya and Messiah said in unison.

Messiah continued, “I will never forget that summer of 1875… I thought I was dying… When Finn smashed my head with a beer bottle… I felt pain all over my body and there was blood all over the floor… It was Master who saved me and helped me kill Finn…”

“So… Lin Ya… how old are you?”

Huo Mian could almost hear her own heartbeat…

Messiah said she was born in 1836 and she was 181 years old.

Lin Ya saved the 39-year-old Messiah in 1875.

Then… came the frightening question.

How old was Lin Ya…

After Huo Mian asked her question, Messiah didn’t dare to say anything.

She glanced cautiously at her Master, wondering what her intentions were.

Was she willing to tell Huo Mian her real age?

Lin Ya only paused for five seconds.

Then, she smiled at Huo Mian.

“Mian… I was born in 1665…”

“Hahaha, so you’re… 352 years old this year?” Huo Mian laughed.

It was the funniest thing she had ever heard in her life.

Lin Ya did not speak…

Huo Mian continued, “In 1665, China was still in the Qing Dynasty… Lin Ya, don’t tell me you’re from the Qing Dynasty. Did you transmigrate to the modern era?”

“You read too many novels, Mian… I didn’t transmigrate here… I’ve lived for this long.”

“Master, there’s too much information. Let’s tell Miss Mian slowly. I’m afraid she won’t be able to handle it if she suddenly hears this.”

Messiah seemed to be concerned…

But Lin Ya was calm.

“Mian is smart. She’ll know what’s going on once she thinks about it.”

Huo Mian looked at them and smiled. “Are you done with your story? I’m going back to bed.”

Then, Huo Mian walked towards her room.

“Mian.”

Lin Ya suddenly called out to her.

Huo Mian stopped in her tracks…

“Mian… I was indeed born in 1665. In 1665, which is the Kangxi Year Four recorded in history, on the second day of March, I was born in a manor near the capital city. I was the only child in my family because my brothers and sisters before me died within a month after birth. In order to save my life, my parents, your grandparents, carried me to a nearby Daoist temple and begged the famous Daoist Priest Bai He to write me a talisman to save my life.”

“Lin Ya, your story is ridiculous, I don’t want to hear it…” Huo Mian said scornfully.
