My Youth Began With Him

3610 Huo Mian“s Birthday Wish 20

“I’ve been really busy, that’s why I don’t have time to respond to your messages,” Wei Ying explained.

“It’s okay.” Shen Mingxi knew why Wei Ying avoided her.

“How… have you been?”

“Not good.”

Wei Ying looked up in surprise; Shen Mingxi never used to talk like this.

“Is it because of Huo Yanyan? Is she still harassing you?” Wei Ying asked.

“No, that’s not it.”

“Then what’s wrong?” Wei Ying was curious; she didn’t know what Shen Mingxi wanted to say.

“I miss you. Constantly.”

Wei Ying: “…”

Shen Mingxi was bolder than he used to be; he had never said anything like this to her before, but now he could.

“Mingxi, the truth is, I…”

“I know your situation, and I don’t want to make your life harder than it already was. Ying… Huo Yanyan is my fault, you don’t have to be responsible for my mistakes. Plus… Wei Liao doesn’t want to forgive me, I know all that. You’re still you, you’re perfect, but I… am not good enough for you anymore.”

Shen Mingxi said these words from the bottom of his heart.

Upon hearing this, Wei Ying immediately began to sob. “Mingxi, don’t say that. I’ll feel bad.”

“It’s okay. The truth is… I don’t know what’s going on with me. I couldn’t sleep, all I can think about is you. I saw someone upload a photo and I saw you. I know I can’t go upstairs, so I just wanted to look at you from downstairs.”

Wei Ying’s tears continued to fall.

“You should go upstairs, your friends are waiting for you.”

“What about you?” Wei Ying asked.

“I’m going to go home. I’m better now that I’ve seen you.” Then, Shen Mingxi turned around to leave. If he stayed any longer, he wouldn’t want to leave.

Shen Mingxi could now clearly see how great of a girl Wei Ying was; she was no longer the spoiled, insufferable heiress.

“What about your jacket, Mingxi?” Wei Ying didn’t want him to go either, so she randomly thought of something to say.

“It’s okay, take it. I don’t want you to catch a cold.”

“No, put it on, it’s windy outside.” Wei Ying quickly took off Shen Mingxi’s jacket and walked up to him to put it on.

However, Shen Mingxi turned around quickly and the two of them crashed into each other. They were so close to each other that they could feel each other’s breaths…

Shen Ming stared at Wei Ying, feeling his heart skip a beat. Should he kiss her?

His mind slowly went blank… all he wanted to do was kiss Wei Ying. He had missed her so much…

Just as he leaned in and their lips were about to touch…

Suddenly…

“Ying.” A voice sounded from behind them.

Wei Ying immediately came back to reality, and turned around to look at Ye Zhaoyang, who was standing by the door with a dark expression on his face.

She stepped back, creating space between herself and Shen Mingxi, and handed his jacket back to him.

“Ying, everyone’s waiting for you. Let’s head back up.” Ye Zhaoyang didn’t even look at Shen Mingxi, nor did he make sarcastic comments like he usually would.

He wanted to be the perfect gentleman in front of Wei Ying.

“Mingxi, drive safe.”

“I will. You should go back upstairs.”

Then, they turned around at the same time.

“Ying, next time let me go downstairs with you. It’s not safe at night, what if you bump into someone bad? After all, there’s a lot of assholes out there.”

Shen Mingxi heard every word Ye Zhaoyang said. His heart almost stopped when he heard the word ‘asshole’.

He admitted that right or wrong aside, he was an asshole to Wei Ying.

“Don’t. Let’s go back up.” Wei Ying glared angrily at Ye Zhaoyang.

– In the other private room –

Happy and drunk, Su Xiaoxiao did something crazy. While Lin Hang sang, she stood up, rushed up to him, and pushed him over onto the couch…

Suddenly, the air froze.

Han Yueyao almost dropped her beer mug.
