My Youth Began With Him

Before Huo Siqian could answer, Huo Yanyan yelled, “Don’t think you are a noble, Huo Siqian. In fact, you and I are the same; we are both evil people, right?”

“Yeah. You’re right; I’m indeed an evil guy.” Huo Siqian nodded his agreement.

“But who said evil guys can’t like good girls? Huh?” Huo Siqian asked.

“Mian… is in fact not kind; she’s even aloof and arrogant… But I just like her this way. She has been like this since she was little and will never change for anyone, anything or any outside situations. It’s not easy to live with such a clear understanding of oneself in this world… Many people get lost as they grow… But Mian has always known what she wants and what she likes and what kind of person she is… No matter what others say, no matter how others praise her or insult her, she never changes. The calm and steady look in her eyes made me fall for her head over heels and I will love her for the rest of my life…”

Huo Siqian seldom told Huo Yanyan his real thoughts because, in his eyes, she was a dumbass who didn’t know good from the bad.

But maybe the situation today was different; since Huo Yanyan asked, he just answered her question.

“Ha. Is she really as good as you say she is?” Huo Yanyan sneered.

“Don’t you know yourself? You are the last person who should ask this question. Don’t you know how many favors you got from Mian?” Huo Siqian asked.

Huo Yanyan froze…

“Do you think I’d let you live until now if not for Mian’s secret help to you and your daughter? Are you kidding? I’m not a man who leaves things unfinished… I hope you are not so naïve that you thought it was Shen Mingxi who protected you?”

Huo Yanyan: “…”

“Do you know how many times Mian visited your daughter in the kindergarten in secret with clothes and food and asked the teachers to take good care of her? It was because of her favor over your daughter that I decided to let you go since you can’t do sh-t anyways. It wasn’t worthwhile to offend Mian to deal with you… But I’m surprised that you paid her back with hatred.”

“It’s because they got my mom killed!” Huo Yanyan said with righteousness and confidence.

“If Huo Mian’s mom kidnapped your daughter and even tried to get her killed, would you be so generous as to forgive her?” Huo Siqian asked.

Huo Yanyan: “…”

“Don’t do things without leaving any room for a change. Don’t think everyone else in the world is in the wrong except for yourself. Even a person as obsessive as I am didn’t do things so out of line. Mian is simple in nature and thought you would change for the better and live an ordinary life. Unfortunately, you disappointed her and even tried to kill her with a mutated poisonous spider… Huo Yanyan, do you have a heart? People say ‘one favor gains a man’s gratitude, but too many favors gain his hatred’. It’s true with you. After receiving so many favors from her, you now regard her as your enemy. Look at you; all the people you hurt are people who have helped you, including Mian and Shen Mingxi. You don’t deserve them. In contrast, you would easily trust people who would betray you at a small price. It’s surprising that you were able to live until now with your low intelligence. I was too lazy and didn’t want to end your life earlier, otherwise, you wouldn’t have caused so much trouble for me. You almost killed my Mian.”

“No nonsense, shoot me.” Huo Yanyan knew no matter what she said, he wouldn’t let her live.

“You sound brave, but what about your daughter? Have you forgotten her?” Huo Siqian snorted.

“You can’t drag my family into this. Huo Siqian, I’m your target; don’t touch my daughter.” Remembering her daughter who had been caught with her, Huo Yanyan was finally riled up.
