My Youth Began With Him

“You must come with me.” The man’s attitude was absolute.

“I’m telling you right now, if something really happens to my sister, I’ll kil-” Before Lu Yan could finish, however, the man interjected coldly, “Your sister will be fine. Even if you fail to show up, there will be many others that will. What you need to worry about right now is yourself. You’re in trouble already, and where do you find the time to worry about others?”

“I’ve spent my entire life either hunting others or being hunted. I’m used to it, what should I worry about?” Lu Yan shrugged her shoulders.

“If you are so informed, then you must know that Ian’s coming to C City?”

“What?” Lu Yan’s eyes grew wide as she stared at Qiao Fei.

“So, you clearly didn’t know.”

“When… when is he coming?”

“His private jet will land in three hours, are you sure you shouldn’t be running?”

“Um…” Lu Yan hesitated, not sure what to say now.

She knew Ian, and she knew very well, on a personal level, how terrifying Ian could be. Not only that, he was also the only devil that her father’s kept a close eye on while keeping a safe distance from him.

“Psycho Qiao, is your source accurate? Are you sure Ian is coming?”

The man simply gave Lu Yan a quick glance and smiled. “Perhaps you should stay then and wait to find out. In three hours, you’ll be able to enjoy some next-level afternoon tea and dim sum with him.”

“Holy shit, are you kidding? Forget it, I’ll leave with you. You know, I heard the scenery in Russia is quite beautiful this time of year. Everything is covered in snow.”

“I thought you were worried about your sister?” Qiao Fei glanced at Lu Yan in disdain.

“Um… You know, my sister is quite popular with men. Like you said, even if I don’t show up, others will. For example, Rick and his family, Su Yu, and let’s not forget that psychopath, Huo Siqian, wouldn’t let her die either. There are many opportunities for me to see my sister, I’m not in a rush right now.” Lu Yan gave a weak smile.

Qiao Fei studied her for a bit, as if he read her mind. “You’re afraid. Ian will figure out Huo Mian’s relationship with you, and she will never be able to live another normal day in her life. You’ve had enough of living in fear, and you don’t want your sister to go through what you’ve been through.”

“Yeah, yeah, I get it, you’re a smartass.”

“Then save your bullshit. Once Ian lands, I won’t be able to save you either.” Qiao Fei then dropped her hand and got into the car.

Lu Yan’s attitude took a 180-degree turn right away as she followed behind Qiao Fei obediently and left C City.

– The Huo Family Mansion –

“Boss, she’s gone.”

“So soon?”

“Yes, it appears like someone is here for her.”

“From Russia?” Huo Siqian smiled.

“Yes.”

“Haha, no wonder she’s treated so well,” Huo Siqian chuckled out loud.

“What should we do now?”

“Tell him she ran away, and there’s no need for him to come anymore.”

“Will Godfather be angry?”

“That’s not my concern. I’m not his subordinate, putting out his anger isn’t my responsibility. All I do is provide the information,” Huo Siqian said casually as he played with two polished walnuts in his palm.

Lu Yan had rushed to C City, but because her whereabouts were revealed, she had been facing assassination attempts the moment she showed up – from five-star hotels to no-name motels in the suburbs.

If it weren’t for Qiao Fei, she would have attempted to go to the prison and save Huo Mian. Who knew what would happen then?

Plans could never quite catch up to changes, who would have thought a simple name like Ian could cause such a stir that even an explosive individual like Lu Yan would run the other way when encountering him.

In the end, all the international forces had left, and C City returned to its original serenity.

On the same night, in the backyard of the Su Estate..

Mr. Su and Grandpa Su both came back from Jing City that evening to take care of the urgent situation – the fact that Su Yu had beat up Huo Siqian.

On one hand, Grandpa Su was extremely calm. He didn’t think it was a big deal that his grandson got into a fight. Mr. Su, however, felt rather embarrassed.

Mrs. Su called Su Yu and summoned him home, and by the time Su Yu walked into the house, every family member had already arrived at the scene.

“What’s going on? Is this an intervention?” Su Yu walked over and sat down on the sofa.
