My Youth Began With Him

“Ha… it’s nothing. Oh right, I have good news for you… we’re both fine.”

Qin Chu didn’t say anything…

“Don’t you believe me? I am serious. Uh… I’ll be honest, don’t be mad. I secretly hid some of your white stuff from yesterday and tested its survival rate today.”

Qin Chu continued to remain speechless…

“The results showed that there’s nothing wrong with you… Ha, so I did a thorough check-up as well, and I’m completely fine too. The doctor said that my body is cold and I should pay attention to warming my uterus by taking Chinese medicine. We’ll have a baby soon enough.”

“What check-ups did you do?” Qin Chu interrogated.

“Just some random ones.”

“Like what?” Qin Chu had studied medicine and wouldn’t be easily fooled by Huo Mian.

“Eh… You wouldn’t understand, I just got a colored ultrasound, basic gynecological tests, bloodwork, and fallopian tube flushing.”

“Fallopian tube flushing? Huo Mian, are you crazy?”

Qin Chu slammed on his breaks and parked the car on the side of the road…

Huo Mian was surprised…

“It’s just a small check-up, what are you stressing over about?” Huo Mian guiltily said.

“Do you take me for a fool?” Qin Chu coldly stared at her.

Huo Mian guiltily lowered her head…

“Why in the world would you flush your fallopian tubes? Don’t you know how painful that is? You can’t even use anesthesia, it’s classified as a minimally invasive operation, but you still did it, are you crazy?”

It was the first time Qin Chu spoke to Huo Mian with such a loud voice…

Qin Chu understood the principles of this test, the fallopian tubes are the transport tubes that allow sperms and the egg to make contact and achieve impregnation. If the two tubes were blocked, they couldn’t get pregnant, or if one side was blocked, the chance of pregnancy would be lowered.

Fallopian tube flushing was to connect two thin tubes to the fallopian tubes and push water in. The water would flow if there was no blockage.

It was a pretty crude method. Because of the lack of anesthesia, patients had no choice but to watch and suffer through this level of pain…

If water flowed through, then it wouldn’t be as bad. It was said that the pain would be worse than death if water couldn’t flow through.

Even Huo Mian, whose tubes were unobstructed, felt sharp pains in her lower abdomen after the flush.

That type of pain was ten times more painful than period cramps…

Qin Chu was mad that Huo Mian had the heart to do this to herself.

He was shocked that she actually did an insane checkup like that. Normally, unless it was absolutely necessary, nobody wanted to do it.

“Honey… don’t get agitated, I’m really fine.”

Huo Mian explained with a soft voice…

“You never discuss with me when you do things, right?” Qin Chu asked with a cold voice.

“No, I just think that I shouldn’t have to ask you about a small thing involving gynecology. You’re so busy every day.”

“To me, your things are never small things… yet, you don’t understand that.” Qin Chu laughed in self-mockery…

“But I did it so we know if we can have a baby…”

“If the prerequisite was for you to suffer, then I’d rather live without children. I’m satisfied with just you.”

“Honey…” Upon seeing Qin Chu angry, Huo Mian immediately comforted him.

Qin Chu didn’t speak and turned his head to the other side…

“Honey, I like babies… I really want a baby of our own.”

“But you can’t make yourself suffer like this,” Qin Chu insisted.

“Okay, okay, I won’t do it next time.”

“There will be a next time?” Qin Chu became angered once again.

“No, I didn’t mean it like that. Haha, I meant that from now on, I’ll listen to you.”

After driving Huo Mian to her mother’s home at Sky Blessing Court, Qin Chu left.

He seemed to be in a bad mood…

“Honey, you’re leaving?”

“I have something to do, I’ll pick you up later.”

“Okay…”

“Why did brother-in-law leave?” Jing Zhixin thought it was weird that Qin Chu left without having dinner.

“I think he’s mad at me…” Huo Mian pouted.

“I’m curious, what did you do to make someone with a good temper like my brother-in-law angry? You didn’t cheat on him, did you?” looking at his sister, Jing Zhixin jokingly asked.
