S.P.E.C.T.O.R – [A Sci-fi space adventure with fantasy elements]

Adam piloted Spector, making her perform evasive manoeuvres to avoid most of the incoming fire while also occasionally returning fire with the three triple laser repeaters on the front of the ship and two ballistic repeaters on the rear.

“Diva Lorelie’s boyfriend is holding his own,” Kasumi commented in an impressed tone as she gracefully repositioned herself on her seat to get more comfortable.

“Unfortunately, that’s all he’s managing to do,” Malgath replied.

“Because of being outnumbered six to one, he’s unable to focus on one specific target while having to evade the incoming attacks of the other five.

If he had a chance to focus fire on one of them, his weapons could probably do some serious damage.” Malgath stated.

“I hope whatever he had planned is enough to shift the battle in his favour,” Kasumi added as they all continued to watch the action along with the studio audience and those watching on the universal subspace network.

By now, word had spread like wildfire on Xer-verse and the Newscast channels that The MMM Show was somehow broadcasting live an actual space battle.

Individuals from different races all over the known universe tuned into The MMM Show to watch the space battle, causing the show’s viewer count to skyrocket.

The MMM Show was already one of the most-watched shows in the known universe; however, the opportunity to watch a space battle live caused its ratings to hit an all-time high, and they just kept rising.

Even though space battles were an extremely regular occurrence in the known universe, with several happening every second, most of them were not heard about until the battle was over, and hardly any were ever shown live.

Only when a film crew was present on a ship that was entering combat was this the exception, but that only happened during large-scale wars where large-scale battles were already anticipated.

An impromptu ambush, like what was being shown live right now, was something very rarely, if ever, shown.

While streamers had attempted to replicate an impromptu battle for their streams, that in the end was all it was, replicated. It was faked so that the streamer’s life wouldn’t be in danger, and once most people figured that out, they left behind only the streamer’s fans or those who wanted to roast the streamer for being fake.

Xer-verse was currently blowing up about the topic.

[[Prime take notes, this is how you stream being onboard a ship, unlike when you were on that Catonian military ship.]]

[[Does anyone know where I can buy me one of those ships? That thing is sexy AF]]

“They’re not also here to kill Lorelie so that they can penetrate Pherise, are they?” Rowena asked with a chuckle.

“Rowena, I would remind you that we are live,” Malgath admonished.

“Oh, sorry,” Rowena replied with her signature grin.

”Probably, she is known as a slut after all.” Kasumi replied with a sultry smile.

“Kasum, I please,” Malgath said with a sigh.

“Oh, sorry,” Kasumi replied while winking provocatively, making the audience laugh.

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): That sexy ass Kitsune is totally flirting with the show’s host.]

[Justiceistruth (Earth): Don’t you mean sexy tail?]

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Trueeeee.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Once again, Kasumi isn’t a Kitsune, she’s a Nogitsune and a famous holocaust and movie star that has recently been on the rise.

Plus, I doubt she’s flirting with Malgath.]

[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Is she also a Diva? She’s as beautiful as Diva Lorelie and Diva Rowena.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): No. While she is on the rise and her popularity is growing, she isn’t at a level to challenge the actress and actor Divas. Also, being beautiful doesn’t automatically make you a Diva.

[HackerSu (Trillion): She could be tough if she found a decent film to star in. The problem for Kasumi recently has been the lack of decent scripts, production quality and co-stars that have dragged her down.

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): That’s true. You can be the greatest actress in the universe, but if your co-stars are dragging down your performance, there’s nothing you can do about it.]

[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): So what makes you so sure she’s not flirting with the host? It looks like she is to me.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Two reasons, first, Malgath is married to Ulesse Solar, the third princess of the Soloarian race, and there is no way he would ever cheat on her.

Second is that Nogitsune are known to be a very flirtatious race, which is strange since they only take one partner during their entire life, even if that partner dies.]

“I’m here.” Stacey suddenly said as she reached the bridge, attracting the attention of everyone watching the stream and causing them to focus on it again.

“Great,” Adam said as he shot her a smile before continuing, ”Take over weapons control while I have Spector pilot herself.”

“What are you going to do?” Stacey asked curiously as she sat down and activated the same console she had used before.

“Spector, prepare the Spector Unit Four Micro-fighters,” Adam said.

[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Spector Unit Four Micro-fighters? What are they supposed to be?]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): I have never heard of them.]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): They sound like miniature fighters.]

[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Maybe they are remote control?]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Remote control fighters do exist; however, they have always been limited in that someone can only control one at a time.]

[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): But the streamers AI said he could control up to three?]

“I wonder what these micro-fighters could be? And if they’re remote-controlled, how is it possible for Diva Lorelie’s boyfriend to control more than one?” Malgath asked curiously.

“I’m not sure, do you know Diva Lorelie and Diva Rowena?” Kasumi asked.

“Nope,” Rowena replied.

“Afraid not,” Lorelie replied.

“I can’t wait to find out, Adam always shows us the most amazing things,” Tephe said excitedly.

“Notice, because of the limitations of your current neuro implant, you will only be able to control a maximum of three micro-fighters,” Spector replied.

“That’s fine. Can you handle the others as well as pilot the ship?”

“Of course.”

“Good,” Adam replied before he got into a more comfortable position in his chair and said, “Activate Spector Unit Four Micro-fighters.”

“Affirmative.”

[[Spector Unit Four Micro-fighters activated.]]

[[Synching Operator to Spector Unit Four Micro-fighters control.]]

The chair Adam was sitting in suddenly leaned back as a leg rest appeared, raising his legs just like when Spector Unit 6 had activated its NDS system.

Adam’s eyes closed, and the next thing he knew was that he was floating in a black space that was soon filled with stars and ships firing at Spector.

A moment later, a hidden compartment opened on Spector’s underside and a missile rack appeared before six missiles shot out.

As the missiles got clear of Spector, they suddenly split down the middle before breaking open to reveal miniature versions of space fighters that looked similar to Spectre and were about two meters in length.

“What on Solarian Prime is that?” Malgath asked in surprise as he saw the micro-fighters.

“I guess it’s Spector Unit Four Micro-fighters. I will be interested to see how they fare, especially now that the six vs one has turned into a six vs seven.” Kasumi remarked with a smirk.

[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): What’s that supposed to be? It looks like a remote control aeroplane or something.]

[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Surely something so small will make no difference.]

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): I hope it’s packing some firepower.]

[Justiceistruth (Earth): You always want firepower, but where exactly is it housed in this case?]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): How is someone supposed to target something so small?]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): I think that’s the point, idiot.]

The six micro-fighters formed up in an arrow shape, with one of them being directly behind the front one, which Adam’s perspective focused on as his vision hovered over it.

Six small icons shaped like the micro-fighters appeared in the top left of his vision to represent their status, while a radar-type circle appeared in the top right, highlighting what the combined sensors of Spector and the six micro-fighters detected. Friendly ships were in blue and enemy ships were in red.

“Can you determine which ship is the leader?” Adam asked.

“Affirmative, their communications are encrypted; however, I can determine that this ship is most likely the leader of the group, judging by the amount of communication traffic it is sharing with the other ships,” Spector replied as one of the large-class ships suddenly had a golden outline around it.

“Good, we’re leaving that one for last.”

“Oh, what’s this? Does Diva Lorelie’s boyfriend have something planned for the leading enemy ship?” Malgath asked to build the audience and viewers’ excitement even more.

[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): My money is on him trying to disable the ship and board it.]

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): You mean like what he did with the Palaxia Defence Force traitor?]

[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Yup.]
