When She Stops Being Dramatic

Chapter 469: Chapter 164: The Green Tea Female Supporting Character in a Period Novel (51)

In two years, the profit from this plot of land alone would let him grow his remaining funds to four or five million.

During that time, he could quietly buy up more land on the cheap and aggressively develop his real estate business.

By the time his family’s five-year deadline arrived, he would not only have met his goal of doubling his money but would also have amassed a considerable fortune of his own.

With this in mind, Jiang Zishi suddenly stopped feeling the sting of the 1.9 million he had just squandered. ’Nothing ventured, nothing gained!’

When he returned to his seat, Bian Yumin pressed her lips together and asked, ”Where did you just go? To plead for old times’ sake with Chi Yun’er?”

Jiang Zishi froze. ’What did I just do? Did I... could I possibly have... done something stupid again?’

’But paying for some peace and quiet... that can’t be wrong, can it?’

He shook his head. ”It was... it was about the one million Chi Yun’er has. She just spent some of it on a plot of land, so no matter what, I can still crush her with my money!”

As he said this, a sudden chill went through him. ’If... if I hadn’t gone to see Chi Yun’er... wouldn’t it have been great to spend 1.7 million—no, 1.9 million—on land instead?’

’Why did I spend so much, have to fork out even more money for land, and still have to convince myself I’d gotten a great deal?’

Jiang Zishi felt like his brain stopped working whenever he dealt with Chi Yun’er.

He quietly glanced down at the agreement he had written, confirming there were no loopholes to be exploited. He let out a small sigh of relief and gritted his teeth. ’What else can I do but accept my loss?’

’From now on... from now on, I’m avoiding Chi Yun’er!’

’I’m rich and powerful now. Why should I lower myself to bickering with ants?’ 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

Jiang Zishi took a deep breath. When the bidding started for the plot of land he coveted, he pulled himself together.

Thanks to Chi Yun’er going easy on him, he finally won the plot of land—over 9,000 square meters with a starting bid of two million—for a final price of six million RMB.

Having started with five million Pounds, he was now left with a little over 1.4 million...

And after securing the land, he still had to invest in building materials and hire people to construct the commercial housing and shopping mall. That would be another huge expense!

Seeing how ruthlessly Chi Yun’er’s group drove up the prices made the next investor hesitate. As a result, Chi Yun’er’s group snatched up the next plot to go on auction—which happened to be adjacent to the one Jiang Zishi had just won—for a relatively reasonable price!

Seeing this, Jiang Zishi and Bian Yumin exchanged a look. They both saw the same ominous premonition in each other’s eyes.

The auction was a great success. The organizers hadn’t expected the total proceeds to be two or three times higher than they’d anticipated! They were also well aware of the role Chi Yun’er had played in this.

After the event concluded, they even made a point of seeking out Chi Yun’er to talk, expressing their hope that she would actively participate in similar events in the future.

Chi Yun’er naturally agreed with a smile.

She had driven up the final price of every plot of land by more than double. As a result, her group had just gone through the motions, acquiring their own land for almost nothing.

It was equivalent to having other people foot the bill for them.

Chi Yun’er was a graduate of Imperial University’s architecture department. Even though she had graduated a few years ago, she still took on cases from time to time, designing office buildings, residential complexes, and the like for clients.

So her skills hadn’t gotten rusty. After a few trips to the building materials and labor markets with Zhao Jinming, Chi Yun’er began to draw up the blueprints for the Kyoto Technology Mall.

In total, Chi Yun’er had won two plots of land. They were located where the future Third and Fifth Ring Roads would be, and neither was small in size.

She planned to build the Kyoto Technology Mall on the Third Ring Road plot, and an amusement park on the Fifth Ring Road plot!
