Child of Destiny

Chapter 260: Monster Trio

...…

”Looks like you are not idle during this month that I am gone, huh?” said Arthur as he stretched his waist left and right. ”Alright, add me to the party.”

”What about your pet? Didnʼt summoning a pet be only limited to 2 players when doing a party play of more than three?” asked Shin confusedly, but he still invited him at the party.

Arthur chuckled when he heard that and said. ”For a normal party, then yes. But we are not your average one. Leo has a skill that can bypass that rule as he has the ʼBlessings of All Beast Auraʼ.”

”What!?” Shin was surprised hearing that. Then he looked at Simba and said. ”Hey! Why didnʼt you tell me?”

Simba shrugged his shoulders and said. ”Because you never asked me before.”

And that was when Arthur entered the group. Shinʼs eyes suddenly turned wide when he saw Arthurʼs level. ”What the!? Level 128? You still at the top of the level despite not being active for a month? What kind of leveling are you doing? From what I remember, even that guy Zero is only at Level 134, and that is him being always online.”

Arthur shrugged his shoulder and said. ”Oh! You already met that sword-minded guy? Well, it is true that he is stronger than me in terms of battle prowess. But he is pretty much a battle maniac who likes to look for a fight against a stronger foe rather than doing some quest or and grinding levels.”

Ahem!

Simba then chimed at this moment. ”Are you guys still not done talking? I thought we are going to make our moves now?”

”Donʼt worry, those guys are still too stunned at my greatness,” said Arthur in a nonchalant manner before pointing behind then and said. ”And we are still waiting for ʼThe Greatest Super Powerful Legendary Ancient Divine Golden Dragonʼ to finish off the monster boss.”

Cough! Cough!

The other three were suddenly choked with some air after hearing the latter part of his word. ʼWhat the!? Whatʼs with that very long name?ʼ

And that was also the point when opposing sides recovered themselves. Especially when someone shouted. ”The monster boss is about to get killed!”

There were no more monsters or players inside the 20-meter range around the monster boss because of the combined attack that were done by Arthur and his pet dragon

Given that, their party of four was together with the wrestling dragon and monster were the only ones in that spot, making the four of them a little eye-catching at the sight of everyone.

And since the monster boss was about to get killed, the higher-ups of the guilds present immediately ordered their subordinates to attack the four and monster boss at the same time.

”Attack! I donʼt care who gets the final hit but I need you to kill that boss and get all of its loot!”

”Disregard everything and kill your way towards that monster boss!”

”Ignore those four and directly attack the monster boss and steal that last hit!”

”Hurry! Attack the monster boss, it only has a sliver of its health.”

Whistle~♪

Arthur whistled the moment he saw the incoming surge of players. Then he said a second later. ”Alright, it seems that they forgot my greatness already. Letʼs remind them how strong I am then. I will be taking the right side; I can see some strong people that can entertain me.”

”Then I will choose the left side,” said Simba before looking at Shin with the corner of his eyes while saying. ”I can go all-out now, right? After all, it is pretty much impossible to keep being ʼlow profileʼ with Brother Arthur being here.”

The corner of Cloeʼs mouth suddenly twitched when she heard the word ʼlow profileʼ and thought to herself. ʼLow Profile? You call everything that two of you did, low profile? Is my understanding of that word wrong, or do these guys have some loose screw in their heads?ʼ

Before really making their moves, Arthur gave Cloe one last look and said. ”You can forget about me and Leo. Just focus giving your support to this weakling brother of mine,” while tilting his head a little to point at Shinʼs direction.

After saying that, he quickly started charging at the players coming from his side without waiting for Cloeʼs reply.

And during his run, he enfolded his body with a golden-colored elemental mana before accelerating forward while also thrusting his golden spear towards his front to lead his charge. ”As an opening move, letʼs go with one of my favorite moves then.”

Arthur transformed into a streak of golden light that rushed forward with an unstoppable force. And a little later, the trails of light that he left transformed into the body of a serpent dragon while the golden aura that was surrounding him during the run formed a head of a dragon with its mouth opened.

Swoosh!

ʼClass Fighting Style: Breaking through of the Divine Dragonʼ

Roar!

The players that Arthur had passed through were all dead, no questions asked. All of them were devoured by the golden dragon and transformed into a bunch of specks of lights that disappeared a little later.

But that attack didnʼt just end there. The moment Arthur ended his charge, he was already at the middle of his enemiesʼ ranks. He stopped on that spot for a very brief moment before doing a quick double spin while also swinging the golden spear in the process.

And together with those motions, the golden spear was also releasing a monstrous amount of golden-colored elemental mana that was spinning alongside what Arthur was doing.

Then that golden mana that was released suddenly transformed into a group of small dragons that were revolving alongside the spinning motion that Arthur was doing and extending up to 10-meter range away from him.

ʼClass Fighting Style: Dance of the Nine Great Dragonsʼ

All of the players and monsters, inside the radius of those revolving dragons where immediately shredded, not giving all of them even a little space to dodge.

When the skill duration ended, Arthur was revealed at the view of everyone once again, standing in the middle while having his spear to rest on his right shoulder. He swept his gazed on all of the frozen enemies surrounding him and said. ”Aright! The welcome party has officially started. Please make sure to keep me entertained.”

Meanwhile, Shin saw all of that and started mumbling. ”Tsk! He really likes to show off everywhere he goes.”

The he turned his head at Simba and said. ”Hey, Leo. Since we can release all of our pets at the same time, summon your huge pet too and send it to help Arthurʼs Goldie over there. It looks like that golden lizard is having some trouble against that berserk monster boss.”

ʼGoldie?ʼ Simba wanted to chuckle after hearing the nickname that Shin had given to Arthurʼs pet but he didnʼt have the leisure time to do it. So, he just complied with Shinʼs command and summoned his pet for the battle.

And when he saw that the Crimson Lion rushed towards the monster boss, he turned his attention towards the enemies rushing at them before saying. ”I should also be going.”

After that he started walking towards the direction of the incoming enemies on his side while taking off the hood that was hanging over his head before putting on the visuals of his lionʼs head helm.

At the same time, he was focusing a lot of crimson-colored mana at the battle-axe on his right hand. And when the mana accumulation finally reached its peak, Simba tightened his grip at the battle-axe before throwing it forward with a very powerful manner.

Swoosh!

No one was able to catch even a glimpse of that battle-axe when it left Simbaʼs right hand; it landed in the middle of the enemiesʼ ranks in just a blink of an eye.

ʼClass Fighting Style: Tyrant Destructionʼ

And before anyone on that players were able to react, at the very exact moment when the battle-axe landed at the ground, an explosion of a powerful shockwave was created at that spot before devouring everyone inside the 15-meter radius.

Boom!!

And when the cloud of dust created alongside that shockwave explosion subdued, a desolate place was revealed at everyoneʼs sights. What was left on that place was a bunch of items and weapons dropped by the victims of that attack.

Second later, they saw Simba landing beside his battle-axe before picking it from being impaled from the ground and resting it on his shoulder a little later. ”Tsk! Weaklings, not even worthy to be hunted.”

Seeing that, Shin released a helpless sigh for feeling the pressure from being with the two of them. ”Sigh~, with Those kind of opening moves, they are obviously inviting me to compete with them on which one is going to have the greatest number of kills starting at this point.”

After that, he started walking forward before saying to Cloe. ”Please look after me. With my current strength, I am still way too weak compared to them. But with your buffs and my transformation skill, I am pretty much sure that I can lessen the gap even for a little.”

And as he walked forward, he was also activating the ʼLycanthropyʼ transformation skill, turning himself into a werewolf for another time.

This was the last day of full moon time of the game for this month (In-game time), so Shin needed to take advantage of this situation to maximize the effects of the ʼFull Moonʼs Blessingʼ skill.

At the same time, he also summoned the Phantom Clone in its werewolf form.

Looking at Shinʼs back, Cloe couldnʼt help but remember something from a distant time. And after that brief moment of pause, she started chanting out prayer after prayer and casted it on Shin and the Phantom Cloneʼs bodies.

After getting all of the buffs, Shin didnʼt even bother to look at his status window to check how much bonus stats that he got, and immediately rushed forward together with his clone while also using the ʼPhantom Danceʼ skill at the same time.

The event was about to end and the final wave boss was about to die, so there were not many monsters left around. All Shin needed to do was to focus solely at eliminating these annoying players from the powerful guilds that were trying to suppress them with numbers.

Out of the four, the opposing side was most familiar with Shinʼs abilities since he was the one that was not restraining his cards during their battles before. That was why they prepared a strategy that was specially made for him to counter his skills and techniques.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

But before the guys that were assigned on this countermeasure technique could do anything, a bunch of flying daggers flew at them with a greet speed, and either interrupting the spell that they were casting or killing them on the spot.

ʼElemental Skill (Shadow/Psychic): Telekinesisʼ

Since this skill happened to fall on the Shadow Element Category, Shin was still able to use this skill despite being in the werewolf form.

Together with the 12 flying daggers that his Phantom Clone had, Shin now had 24 flying daggers in total. And if you added these hidden weapons with his untouchable Phantoms, the real nightmare for these players had just arrived.

Shinʼs attack might be not as showy as the one that Arthur had done, and might be not as destructive as the one that Simba had done, but he would surely be the one that was the most troublesome out of the three.

Aside from his current super fast movement speed, he also had those annoying and indestructible Phantoms that they couldnʼt touch nor attack.

With all of those, the slaughtering party for Arthurʼs welcome had finally begun. And those players on the opposing side would surely have a very long night to spend.
