Child of Destiny

Chapter 128: A New Elemental Spirit (Part 1)

....

Shin opens his virtual map before putting a mark on the coordinates that he got from Dark Mystery as he walks out of the Calderock Town.

After that, he went to the dense part of the forest near the town before summoning Whitie and mounting it.

Roar!

Swoosh!

Then Shin orders Whitie to run towards the direction of the indicated coordinates.

Along the way, Shin came across a bunch of level-90 Black Hell Hyenas. But he didnʼt put all of those monsters in his eyes anymore. Since aside from these monsters only drop some random materials, he also canʼt get any decent experience points from them. The level gap is not that high after all.

And as he gets near the Black Rock Mountain Range, more and more Level-100 and above Hell Gate Hyenas are starting to appear. And he also starting to feel the ʼSuppression Aurasʼ of some superior monsters.

”Halt!”

Shin ordered Whitie to stop before dismounting from the tigerʼs back. After that, he summoned Blackie while activating the ʼSpirit Releaseʼ of the [Nephilimʼs Gemini Mask]

.At the same time.

”Hanzo! Vladimir!”

He also called out his Elemental Spirits. And the current level of these two is Level-104 since they canʼt exceed 20 levels more than Shinʼs level.

”It has been a while since I feel so restricted like this. I wonder if I can even beat an ordinary monster with this strength.” said Hanzo sarcastically as he checks the amount of power that he can use.

”Tsk, What a weak master. I feel like the amazing awesome me is being contaminated by such a weak host.” said Vladimir with a tone that is full of complaint after being summoned.

Shin releases a helpless sigh before giving out his orders. ”Alright, Alright. Whatever you say. Anyway, there are a lot of monsters ahead and we need to take them down first before we can reach our destination. So just help me out a little.”

”And you can just treat this as some sort of exercise to adjust yourselves with your current strengths. And it is also to prevent some accidents in the future.”

Hanzo stretches his waist lazily while rebutting at Shin. ”Canʼt we just do some detour to avoid these guys?”

”Tsk! And isnʼt this your fault? If you are just strong enough, then our strengths are not going to become so restricted like this. And I can just flick my fingers and these monsters will explode into a blood mist.” said Vladimir.

”Tsk, How about you guys get on work instead of wasting your time on useless talk.” said Shin before rushing towards the nearest Hell Gate Hyena.

And when the Hyena notice Shinʼs presence, it immediately dash towards his direction before pouncing at him when it got on the ideal range.

Shin puts the breaks on his charge with his right foot while having a sword-drawing stance.

Tssh!

At the same time, the sheathed sword glows with a chilling silver light before Shin pulled it out from its sheath and slashing it rightwards.

Shing!

Then a cold sliver crescent sword Qi was sent forward and greet the incoming Hyena.

ʼClass Fighting Style: Lunar Flashʼ

That was a massive amount of damage!

But despite receiving that attack, the Hyena is still falling towards Shin due to the momentum of its charge and pounce.

Roar!

But before it reaches Shin, a bunch of spears made of blood pierce through the Hyenaʼs body and force it to fall down from the air while pinning its body on the ground right in front of Shin.

And on that exact moment, when the Hyena was pinned in place, a purple crescent energy wave flew pass above Shinʼs head and slice through the monsterʼs body

Whoosh!

-560 672

ʼTsk! These guysʼ levels might be restricted because of me, but their battle instincts and standards are still not something that you can laugh at.ʼ Thought Shin as he swings the blazing [Yamato] downwards, and sending a black flame crescent sword Qi at is front.

And with those string of damages, the Hyena immediately entered a berserk state. But before it managed to do anything, both the Sun and Moon Clones simultaneously pulled their swords from their sheaths and swing it horizontally.

Shing! Shing!

Then an orange-yellow and bluish-white crescent sword waves were release from their swords respectively, and fly towards the Hyena who is about to swing its claws at Shin.

After that, Whitie suddenly jumped from behind Shin and swing its front paws at the Hyena. At the same time, Blackie appeared out of nowhere and also pounce forward while swinging its own paws.

Roar! Roar!

Then Shin swiftly swings the [Yamato] horizontally to the right as it releases a silver crescent sword Qi that has a chilling aura.

Swoosh!

ʼSlayer Skill: Half-Moon Slashʼ

-92 210(Slowed)

-2 042(Chilling Damage)

And immediately after that, Shinʼs right arm suddenly turned into a blur as he swings the [Yamato] five times on his front while focusing them on a single point.

Then a powerful vertical sword wave was sent forward, and cleaving the Hyenaʼs body into two.

ʼSlayer Skill: Modified Crescent Cleaveʼ

Swoosh!

-411 050

-2 042(Chilling Damage)

KILLED!

(These moon skills are currently in Rare Rank since Shin is using the [Yamato] now and not the [Twin swords of Dusk and Dawn].)

Roar!

Then the Hyena died just like that as it hasnʼt done anything after pouncing at Shin except for its crazy roars.

Then Shin picks up the loots as he ignored the Hyenaʼs corpse and didnʼt bother to harvest any materials from it. He will not get any rare materials from this monster since it is an ordinary monster after all.

Then he looks at the two Elemental Spirits before saying to them. ”Letʼs split up, we can kill more monsters that way. You guys can take care of yourselves right?”

”Do you even need to ask? A powerful and amazing Elemental Spirit like me is more than enough to handle myself. And these guys are not even worthy to be called an opponent.” said Vladimir almost instantly. Then he suddenly transformed into a blood mist before flying towards a solitary Hyena.

”Heh! You should worry about yourself instead, Kid.” sneered Hanzo before looking for his target. But before he makes his move he leaves some advice. ”And I guess it is better if let those to tigers do their things. I know that it is good to train them, but it is also beneficial to them if you let them explore theirselves a little, they are natural hunters after all.”

”And you donʼt have to worry about them. They can handle themselves as they are a pair of a Sacred Being and a Demonic Beast that have sharp innate battle instincts.”

Then immediately after that, Hanzo suddenly disappeared from his position and reappeared at the back of a Hyena a few distances away.

Those two Elemental Spiritsʼ levels are a little over one hundred so the shouldnʼt have any problem fighting against these monsters, especially with their battle standards. Shin, on the other hand, needs some assistance from his clones.

And before finding his next target, Shin follows Hanzoʼs advice and let his tigers hunt on their own. Old ones are more experienced after all, so there is nothing to lose if he follows some suggestions.

Then he sheath his sword once again before rushing towards a Hyena together with the Sun and Moon Clones.

And when the monster saw Shinʼs group rushing towards it, it releases a deafening roar before running towards the three.

And with that, the Sun Clone suddenly accelerated forward before brandishing its flaming sword forward and sending a flaming crescent sword wave at the incoming Hyena.

ʼExtra Skill (Sun Clone): Flame Burstʼ

Swoosh!

Bang!

-185 672

-4 020(Burning Damage)

-2 010(Bonus Burning Damage)

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Immediately after that, Shin and the Moon Clone suddenly accelerated forward and brushed pass on each side of the Sun Clone as they transformed into a stick of lights while rushing towards the Hyena. And when they are about to pierce through the body of the monster, both of them simultaneously unsheathe their swords before slashing them at the monster.

If someone looks at it with a bird-eye view, they will see that Shin and the Moon Clone leave an X-shape trail of light behind as they pass through the body of the Hyena.

And with that, the aggro of the Hyena was transferred at the Moon Clone because it is the one that dealt with the highest damage. So, the Hyena forces its body to stop to chase after the clone.

But the moment it turns its body around, Shin and the Moon Clone already enfold their bodies with sword Qis as they rush towards the Hyena once again while thrusting their swords forward.

At the same time, the Sun Clone is doing the same thing on its side.

Then the three brushed past each other as they skillfully controlled the course of their charge so that they will not collide with each it while doing the thrusting dash.

But the three are not done yet, because, at the end of their dash, the three of them simultaneously turn their bodies around before dashing at the Hyena once again while swinging their swords at the monster.

The Hyena received a bunch of overlapping burning effects on its body because of those consecutive attacks from Shin and his clones.

So the moment Shin ended his dash, he immediately clicked his left-hand thumb and middle finger, causing the overlapping burning effects to be detonated.

Roar!

The Hyena release a deafening roar as it falls on the ground because of the bonus effect of the explosion.

The Moon Clone seize that opportunity to throw five consecutive slashes in the air on its front while focusing them on a single point. Then a powerful vertical crescent sword wave was sent flying towards the Hyena who is currently laying on the ground.

ʼSlayer Skill (Moon Clone): Modified Crescent Cleaveʼ

Meanwhile, Shin transformed into a stick of silver light that rushes towards the laying Hyena while following closely behind the vertical sword wave.

ʼSlayer Skill: Moonlight Stepsʼ

Whoosh!

At the same time, then Sun Cloneʼs body suddenly glows with an orange light before it rushes towards the Hyena.

ʼSlayer Skill: Sunlight Movementʼ

Whoosh!

And the moment the vertical sword wave slice through the body of the Hyena, Shin and the Sun Clone are already on its front and back respectively. At the same time, both of them are brandishing their swords downwards.

KILLED!

After that, Shin quickly picked the loots up before taking a rest. Then he shakes his head a little while muttering himself. ”Tsk! High-Leveled monsters are really hard to deal with. I might be able to take these guys down easily with the help of my clones, but they are only ordinary monsters and it already takes most of my skills just to take down two of them.”

”Whatʼs more, Elite Monsters and above are the real challenges. So I better be ready on taking them on.”

Shin and his clones rest a little to wait for his skills to become available again while also waiting to recover some of his MP. And after that, he immediately resumes hunting some monsters.
